I hate that there's only one little cool wizard duel in the entirety of the series. There's barely any wizard action in 1-4 (which is fine), and afterwards its all fricking flipendo shootouts. The laws of magic are also all over the place. Sometimes they need years to master the spell, sometimes Potter can read the seemingly complex homebrew stuff in the book and use it in the next scene. Sometimes they spell the, well, spell, sometimes they do not. What's the deal?
I watched all of them for the first time last year, somehow avoided it for 24 years until i caved. Here's my objective unbiased based opinion >3 >1 >2 >5 >8 >4 >6 >7
First three are leagues above the rest, Azkaban is definitely one of the best fantasy flicks ever made. David Yates era was a big step down but it was consistent in tone, and two of them are still better than Goblet (movie that felt like it had no director). But JKs scripts were stretched way too thin for 6 and 7, those could've been compressed into 1 movie and let Deathly Hallows be a proper conclusion
3 is massively overrated. The third act is a complete rushed mess, and it's also the catalyst for the grimdark Yates movies. 4 is the perfect tonal balance between lightheartedness and darkness.
3 has the most moronic time travel plot. People on this board say 3 is the best purely because other people have said it’s the best. 2 and 4 is objectively the best. 6 is also pretty good
It's pretty non-existant till the last part of the movie, and even then its irrelevant and inoffensive. It was there because it was in the book, should blame Rowling for that.
3 is ranked that high because its a well paced well crafted movie. It reminds me of Del Toro movies in tone, going for the 'darker fairy tale' vibe which works. 4-8 has so much unnecessary greenscreen and just look much worse in comparison.
2 > 1 > 3 > rest are complete shit
2 > 1 the rest don't matter because they are complete shit
this scene > the rest of the books/movies (which are good btw)
3 > 1 = 2 > 5 > 6 = 4 > 7 = 8

you ranked them, you tell me.
as stated last time.
I wouldn't rank them i'd watch them, which is what everyone did.
5 was so shit I haven't even been bothered to finish the series

1 and 2 are decent flicks
Rest is pure garbage
Azkaban and Goblet are the only good ones

only right opinion in this thread, i have no idea why 3 is so overrated here

looks like your picture has them all ranked in order
Why doesn't 2 have the number in bottom right like the others? delete this shit immediately OP
I enjoy watching 3 until they go back in time. Just so fricking boring
3>1>2>4>6>7.2>7.1>5
5 > 3 > 2 > 8 > 4 > 1 > 6 > 7
Why does everyone hate 2?
It's boring.
1-3 > 4 > the rest
4 is better than the ones after just because it's funny
So who would likely win in a battle between muggles and wizards?
