And with no bluray release.
The movie's gradually gaining following. It'll get a bluray eventually
It really deserves more recognition. Tight script, great performances, fricking banger ost, comfy setting. Kino
>taste flesh becomes evil
>Guy pearce talks him around because hes based
>turns good
>dies
This movie is very schizophrenic.
??? It already has a blu-ray. I have it sitting in my collection right now.

It's a scam release identical to DVD in quality, look at comparisons in the link above.
I'm about to lose my fricking mind today. You say it's "identical" but they're clearly not identical. The blu-ray is a tad bit better than the dvd which you can see if you OPEN YOUR FRICKING EYES homosexual! It's CLEARLY better and not fricking identical.
The "tad bit" are compression artifacts from downscaling the transfer to DVD. The source for transfers is obviously identical.
This is "identical" to some autistic people. Not the most amazing blu-ray release but they're not identical you god damn moron.
I really don't give a shit, dude. I just wanted the movie on blu-ray.
Watched it for the first time this year and really enjoyed it, though it was very much not was I was expecting when my friend told me he had a wendigo movie.
HE WAS LICKING ME!
Wouldn't call it a horror film but the sheer casualty of the cannibalism acts made it very disturbing for me
It's a western actually
It's basically Highlander but they have to eat dudes to regenerate.
There should be a TV series. Some guy who turned Ravener in the old west and is still going today. Keeps signing up for warfare etc so he can get access to freshly killed soldiers.
>genre: comedy
Into the trash~
>villain is evil because...he's hungry
>great ost
Love it. What a strange collaboration though, who would have ever thought of putting Nyman and Albarn together
>Eat to live, don't live to eat
Better if the results of cannibalism was more ambiguous. "Were they just crazed, delusional, or did it really transfer life energy?"
Is zest a form of energy?
Love this movie but the bit where Carlyle is sniffing and spazzing out in front of Arquette before digging up the knife has always been puzzling. Felt like something they had to rush through without staging it properly. Can anyone explain what the hell he was doing?
I think he was tracing the steps in his head to where he hid the knife.
>Ravenous
That's how I describe my lust when I get home from work.
Need to get back on Finasteride but 3 days/doses of only 2mg and I couldn't get a boner at all.
I have to wank once or twice everyday or I get constipated, become on the edge of a meltdown.
It was goofier than I expected, I wouldn't be surprised that there was some studio interference to alter stuff
It famously went through production hell with the final director coming in fairly late.
Manifest Destiny!
it's the proof that women can be great directors
American Psycho and The Matrix prove that as well.
Yep, and of course she's the one that dies prematurely.
Is Michael Nyman still banging away at that rhythmic repeating stuff?
I think he got a bit suss about being associated with the Greenaway-style work after The Piano director slag gave him shit about it, but it's really unique and he should keep rogering away at it and making old New Zealand roasties seethe in their bonnets and girdles.
Damon Albairn did the score m8
The art school wanker from Blur and Gorillaz
Michael Nyman did, brobro. It's his signature style Albarn is working within.
Check his shit out, it's awesome. It's based on the theories of a guy called Bach, regarding recursive but progressive phrasing.
More regular musos should try this stuff out. Ravenous OST shows what a great baseline it sets up for the more expressive phrasing.
Stick with the Greenaway stuff first, bc he's done a few Operas which are very experimental and hard to access. Once he's reigned in with an initial structure, it's much easier to follow him into the strange places he goes.
>NOOOOOO DON'T EAT THE HUMAN YOU WILL GO INSANE AHHHHHHH
Eat everything except the brain and you'll be fine. Personally I'd exclude eating the penis or a guy's ass.
Watch this whole film without realizing the antagonist was the dad in 28 weeks later. Wtf, Am I face blind?
