season 2 was shit with the whole new crew thing, flashbacks were ok but again, they paired an unstoppable 240 iq supermonster main character against some skinny ex police moron trying to sell some missiles. pretty fricking bad
in general the show has no tension - every bad guy that is thrown against reacher loses without any kind of chance. even against his friends, they're all too powerful.

In S2 Reacher couldn't figure a single thing out on his own and was afraid to trust his gut. In S1 Reach would show up to a scene with answers and detailed analysis. They ruined the character in S2 for sure.
Bro huh? I don't know who wrote it and I don't care. But Season 1 was EXTREMELY feminine. Season 2 was hypermasculine and it sucked.
Season 2 was crap macho shoot bomb blow up everything, tough guy, high tech nerdy, military, boom boom flash and monster trucks. The actor even got more jacked for Season 2 and looks more aggressive and lost a bit of the almost babyish face he had. I hated it. Boring.
Season 1 was cozy. Centered around family (his love for his brother played a huge role, Reacher's mom played a big part). Cute romance between Reacher and Roscoe. Wholesome scenes like saving a dog and saving a stripper from sexual assault. Lots of soft moments. Reacher was such an unequivocally nice guy who would protect women no matter what, and be perfectly polite while doing it. Most action heroes are lowkey jerks but in a le funny "likable" way. "Stuck up misogynist with a heart of gold" as if that isn't an oxymoron, and that shit is written by men. Reacher was nothing like that. Reacher was an angel. Perfect morals, zero misogynistic attitude whatsoever. It's rare to see that in movies/shows because every hero has to have a le edgy dark side. And the exaggerated way he would easily kill every bad guy makes a female audience feel so safe. Reacher knocked a guy's shit out for calling a woman a "wienertease." He defended women against any instance of harassment or if a man just looked at her wrong. Season 1 was good because it respected women. Like it or not. Reacher Season 1 was a feminine show and it was GOOD. Season 2 lost all of that and that's why it sucks.
The first season is better than the second because i like more the "lone guy" vibe than "teamwork investigation" but it's not bad. They said the 3 season will be more like the first one (lone guy working on a case).

Season 1 is bretty good until the last 2 episodes. Last episode of season 1 is beyong moronic and the cgi makes you want to have a nice day. Season 2 is a downgrade from the jump compared to season 2. The last episode is bad again but not as bad as the season 2 finale. Overall I don't regret watching but hoped it wouldn't turn to shit like it did.
