The opening scene is good, then it turns to average. I liked Club Dread but I don't think many people did.
I had the opposite experience. I love Super Troopers and didn't really enjoy Beerfest.

Club Dread is great. Yes it's a comedy and satire, but they clearly did their homework when it came to slasher movies of the day.
Club Dread is by far their best one. Love it. Super Troopers is ok but overhyped. Super Troopers 2 is just cringe. I don't remember anything about Beerfest, only saw it once, but I don't recall laughing much. Haven't seen any of their other shit like Slammin' Salmon or Tacoma FD.
Club Dread benefits from having Bill Paxton going into overdrive every time he's onscreen.

Yeah I've never liked it either. So many people used to always quote it for some reason. Shit like "the shnauzberries taste like shnauzberries". Broken Lizard are the kings of making movies that should be 15 minute youtube videos. Take one or two good jokes, stretch them out for 90 mins. That's it, that's the formula. It's the kind of shit that's funny when you're getting high in high school with your friends.

I really enjoyed both Beerfest and Super Troopers. Those guys are funny. And Jay Shalandjdgajsdtinar directed some great episodes of Arrested Development.

Haven't seen any Broken Lizard movies in years. Here's what I rate based off what I remember:
Puddle Cruiser: 7/10 comfy 90s college setting; can't remember a lot of laughs. Malarkey's a pussy
Super Troopers: 8/10 pretty funny when you're 14, don't know if the humor still holds up
Club Dread: 8/10 comfy island setting, fairly funny, some good kills, good guess who is the killer, a few pairs of breasts. Feels like they really pushed themselves writing the story for this one
Beerfest: 8/10 fairly funny, comfy frat-like atmosphere, after club dread flopped it definitely feels like they knew they had to go back to "write what you know," so it's a real simple story, which worked pretty well
Slammin' Salmon - don't remember more than some parts. Can't rate
Super Troopers 2 - only saw some parts
I don't if they did anything else. I'd recommend watching their first 4 movies though
