i thought it was okay, stuff like the one shot corridor fight and the weird suburb planet were cool
Counter-Earth made me want an Unlimited Spiderman movie.
I liked it. Felt refreshing to see a solidly good capeshit flick these days. It's been a long time.
Pretty much the only thing I really liked was what most people got angry about, the animal experimentation backstory. Most forgettable villain since Malekith.

Seriously? The High Evolutionary was great. It's fun to have a villain that's simply just a mean, unrepentant fricker who really likes to control, abuse, and kill people instead of having some tragic, sympathetic backstory and/or motivation. Plus the actor really sold it in his performance, especially with how unhinged and obsessive he gets towards the end.

Yeah, it made for an egotistical, entertaining villain. I can't see how anyone could compare that to Malekith, who was the polar opposite in having absolutely no scene presence
He actually provided a masterclass in villainy and blew most Hollywood stuffed suits outta the water

I think what's going on here is that you struggle with having a personality so you think being a contrarian is a good substitute for having one. You heard people on Cinemaphile and just about everywhere else praise the movie so when you saw it a little trigger in your head flipped telling you to hate the movie. Not because of its own merits but because by saying your one of the few that hate it, it would make you feel special, like your a really unique person with unique tastes unlike everyone else. The reality is your as boring and predictable as everyone else
