That was the myth. There was possibly some truth to it, like having the digital files deleted, but the analog tapes for broadcast were still around.
A similar note is how the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion had some of its original 16mm film reels for one episode lost to water damage. Yet despite those lost film being almost completely restored by using some 35mm internegative reels and re-filming some of the original cels in 2002 (for its Renewal DVD remaster), the rumor that ALL of Evangelion's master film reels persisted until even after it got a fully remastered Blu-Ray release.
People just like to believe negative things.
It's a sad state of the world that allows garbage like the 24-hour news channels to thrive.
However, what HAS been true, and why this find is significant, is that the "masters" they previously used for nearly all the ReBoot DVD releases were FRICKED by various sound errors and/or distorted to smush the original PAL format episodes into the NTSC format. Most Beast Wars DVDs suffer from the latter as well.
Hey, that isn't typically the case. The JBVO episodes were lost for years until a old Turner Broadcasting guy unknowingly sold tapes to a thrift store and someone found them.
Considering that it took them years (?) to find the tapes exactly where they were always supposed to be, have they tried looking for the D1 deck in the same studio?
I wonder how long it took to animate every ep
these shadows are pretty decent which makes me think they used some pretty good (and maybe expensive) shadow-mapping techniques
The Evil Dead parody episode was probably one of my favorite episodes of ReBoot. It took a twist in things by making the deadites the heroes & Ash the villain.
For the love of God, someone please send them a D1 Tape Deck so that way we can have an official release of the show in high quality format. ReBoot is one of those kino 90s CGI shows & some episodes have been lost over time. We need an official release of the series along with extras & the ridefilms.
>& some episodes have been lost over time
What episodes do you think are lost? Because there aren't any. The only lost media of Reboot has been the ridefilms.
Anon? I'm both those posts. Furthermore, my second post is supporting the first one.
You're one that needs to read, because you've somehow grossly misinterpreted something along the way.
Yup. They had long gone off rails.
I wonder if that was a rare case of them trying to please people who hated the Enzo timeskip thing. I don't even remember what was the explanation.
The explanation was this:
- Matrix, trying to convince Old Man Pearson to evacuate his home, switches his icon to game sprite mode to show that he really is Enzo and he survived being nullified by becoming part of the game.
- Matrix forgets to switch his icon back to normal mode
- The system restarts and brings back anything missing by restoring it from its backup
- Since his icon was in game sprite mode, the system doesn't see Matrix and restores the last backup of Enzo it had on file.
And again, there was already an example of the character being a copy. The AndrAIa we see for most of the show isn't the original AndrAIa. She's a copy. The original is still part of her underwater game.
Yea but NO ONE has a D1, unless a studio wants to do something with these they're just gonna sit
btw these apparently include the ridefilms as well
and that second one? Has giantess Hex
man I loved the ontario place mars one
I could really really feel the synced up ride chairs watching this
These weren't destroyed?

Why would Beast Wars and ReBoot be PAL native when Canada also followed NTSC?
I think he said they used PAL format masters despite the show being NTSC native
>canuck masterpiece tainted by euro commie format errors
this is a monkey's paw
wait now I read that ReBoot and all of MFE's stuff were originally made in PAL format
>found
They were at the studio that made the show the whole time
Wow

According to the fine print, the Mainframe studios got rid of it years ago and they haven't found one available in the whole Canada.
>preservation
nobody cares about drooling losers storing hteir feces in their freezer.
Nobody mentioned anything of the sort. Did you forget to take your medication today?
God how i hate this show but more power to you for trying to do something about it.
>God how i hate this show
Why?

You... know OP isn't the person in the image, right?
Nobody here cares, they just want to talk about politics and how everything with a vegana makes them horny.
fingers crossed, hoping for a Beast Wars tapes too
Kinda cool, I bet there’s a d1 deck out there so that should’ve a problem
Thanks OP. I'm grateful to be given good news for once.
imagine if they actually had the original digital files
Hex, Andrea, Dot, Mouse, and Matrix SFM/Blender lewds
Alphanumeric!
Cool, release HD version please
god I love how straight-horny animators were in the 80s and 90s
gay-horny is just awful
I wonder how long it took to animate every ep

someone call the prime minister, we have to make this happen to preserve Canadian media
Did anyone else think the whole 2 Enzos thing was really weird?
Both movies were weird and badly done, but that part specifically wasn't bad.
No. they explained how it happened in a logical and satisfactory way and the show already had an example of another main character being a copy.
If you mean in the show, things had gone completely off rails at that point.
Second Enzo happened in season 3.
Yup. They had long gone off rails.

Season 3 wasn't off the rails. Season 4 was.

of a character being a copy*
Kick ass, dude. This and Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad were my "inside of computers are cool" media as a kid.
