Like Scott Pilrgim if it were Bri'ish instead of Canadian.
Sin City
>moronic worldbuilding quirks that add nothing to the story
>the author's thinly veiled fetishes everywhere
>every character has superpowers because they just do
>just about the only good series both authors have ever made
>kino movie adaptations that go the extra mile to introduce a lot comic effects and editing
>simp main characters.
Not a fan of anything else by miller?
Different anon, but Miller sucks.
Year One is only good because Mazzucchelli carries.
300 is based, seething troons
Based. Ronin is also awesome and it goes without saying his Daredevil is great too
>Ronin
a future where nazis wage war against Black folk, miller was ahead of his time
>That Yellow Bastard
>Robocop versus Terminator
>The Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot
>300
All awesome don't listen to that moron, also heard hard boiled is good.
It’s a manga but I heard fooly cooly was similar
Oddly enough the FLCL manga is fairly different from the anime even though it was written alongside/after the series. Would recommend it.
Is this actually like SP in content or tone?
I would say that it is. Not full of vidyagaem references or action but the dialogue and characters feel like they fit right at home in the same universe as Scott Pilgrim.
Can't believe it's going to be 10 years since Seconds came out next summer.
>10 years
I remember getting hyped for the release online then going to my local Barnes&Noble to buy a copy in highschool. Fricking A.
Not really relatable to SP at all, but for me personally, it scratched that "short but sweet series with whacky hijinks" itch that I got from the former. They both rest in a similar place in my heart if that makes any sense. Not sure why. Can't explain. Lucky Penny reminded me of SP a bit too, but I never finished that comic so I can't for sure recommend it. What I read up tonwas great though.
as close as you're going to get artstyle-wise and similar homosexual 00s humor to boot too
I'm rereading this rn and I forgot how much I love the art. It's not spectacular but Penny's a cutie, so.
The Unbelievable Gwenpool by Chris Hastings, edited by Heather Antos, art by Gurihiru, with backup art by Irene Strychalski. The entire series is available in an omnibus edition, and the digital is just $50.
Everything after issue 25 doesn’t exist. Different writers, artists, even different editors, and none of them have even the remotest understanding. Don’t read anything published after UGP #25.
>But it’s Marvel, I don’t want to read 50 wiki articles to know what’s going on
You won’t have to.
>But Marvel bad
Yeah, Marvel Bad, so pirate it then.
bumo
King City and Multiple Warheads, both by Brandon Graham.
Is he still cancelled or did everyone just sort of forget about it like with Cliff Chiang?
People learned that most of the time he has no idea on how to end a story. Also his humor got old after some time.
I have no fricking idea. I don't really follow him beyond reading those two comics.
Sharknife
Maus
Snot Girl is better than Seconds in my opinion.
Snot Girl isn't even written by Bryan, is it?
Scratch that, he wrote it, didn't do the art.
