Are the original RLM videos archived anywhere?

The ones that were on blip.tv: it was pretty easy to get the .mp4 source files. The videos that were uploaded to YouTube had a lot of the copyrighted content and edgier jokes removed ;_;

They're gone forever. Just like Mike's youth.

I do not accept this. MST3K nerds have been hoarding episodes since the 90s.

There must be an archive.org collection somewhere, along with a clone of thirtysomething Mike frozen in carbonite.

The best you can get is one of the action figures from the 90s but they cost an arm and a leg these days.

An unopened Josh figure can go for double that easily.

The Josh figures can join Rose Tico in melted action figure hell. It's the only figure to come with a cyanide pill in the package.

after some digging i found that the blip.tv uploads are still on archive.org, it's just a pain in the ass to find them. are there any videos you're looking for in particular?

I have all of them saved on my hard drive just in case, back in 2010 I had a shitty internet connection so the only way to watch something was to download the entire video beforehand.

OP here, I did exactly this.

And YouTube was a nightmare but with blip you literally just changed the URL to something like /source/vid1234.mp4 and you'd grab the source video without any ads.

Some anon must have them all.

    >edgier jokes removed
pretty sure gayshenanigans and all of the Plinkett nonce jokes still in whatever videos featured those, as are a lot of jokes/lines they wouldn't do now

Pretty sure Mike has removed the Star Trek Plinkett review where he says nig.

I watched it only a year ago, so it would have been recent if so

They’re all the exact same videos.

not sure about jokes being removed but there's definitely some instances of copyrighted music being removed or poorly covered up to appease youtube:

AC/DC song awkwardly covered up with loud generic rock music (volume warning):

      ?t=447

and the end credits are silent, probably had the same AC/DC song being played over it:

      ?t=1752

There are absolutely no “edgy” jokes removed from the youtube versions

Any other bros here who used to be on the RLM forum before they made it big on Youtube? Their old website was max comfy

The RLM forum didn’t even exist until after they got popular on youtube

The old episodes aren't impressive at all tbh. The CGI for the Rich Evans character didn't get good until around 2014.

There's an entire viral video series/character from the 2000s that everyone I speak to remembers and you get some google hits for, but the videos themselves are nowhere to be seen. Not on some YouTube backup channel, not on archive.org. We're talking Angry Nintendo Nerd era/levels of popularity.

I think the only Half in the Bag that isn't on youtube is their one for Warm Bodies? I remember seeing that on their old website and it isn't on youtube now. I guess it had a lot of copyright stuff in it.

I remember that one. Mike was probably embarrassed about his 'Romeo and Juliet' theory (at least now they could do the "WRONG!" thing as a joke haha it's a joke we're in on the joke u guise).

that's so weird. i swear i watched that one relatively recently but apparently it's been taken down off youtube since 2015, 7 whole god damn years ago.

here's the original URL, if it matters at this point:
