The idea of 6 hr episodes was so ludicrous to me at first but when you realize it's literally just like going to work and surfing the net and joking with coworkers all day it makes sense. There aren't enough hours in the day to enjoy and laugh about and comment on all the content and drama online. They have the perfect job.

Redbar peaked in 2020. After he came back from his hiatus, the show took a huge nose dive in quality. He got too big and it went to his head and it shows. Redbar is still pretty good. But he definitely peaked in late 2019 and during covid. The big mike torment in 2020 was legendary and Joey Diaz's initial meltdown was hilarious to witness.

It's not Redbar's schtick to show humility. What makes Mike's show and schtick compelling is the way he makes himself appear invincible, above it all, and like he's always right and never wrong. I haven't been watching for that long, so I can't say whether he's right about everything. Mike took the success and went fricking crazy with it, instantly bought an entire wardrobe of three piece suits and wore them all the time, started doing major coke and odd drugs live on the show and bragging he was doing it partying every day, took as much money for himself (while not paying his full-time cohost) and bragged constantly that he was rich, started shit talking every comedian and his own employees live on the show, just calling them up live calling them fat b***hes and such. Went way power hungry with it. Then basically overnight the other business partner Kyle Lane and the rest of the small company locked him out of all his accounts, put a black list bullietein out, came out with an exaggerated but mostly accurate list of why he was ousted from the business, and basically (probably illegally) kicked him out of the business. Mike goes dark for a year, comes back with ‘The Tell All’
Which is about 26 hours of ‘it’s not my fault’, ‘I was betrayed for no reason’, severe anxiety, spitting venom and calling everyone ‘snakes’. Ever since he’s been a recluse who has sworn off having any more than the absolute minimum amount of friends possible. Just one story

Actually I would probably say this is the source of my criticism towards Mike, the tell-all was like a straight solid day of denial and gaslighting. And a huge part of why the downfall happened the way it did, was because Mike had thousands of listeners he would shit talk about work and his coworkers to, for like five hours a day. And Mike wouldn’t hold up since he felt on top of the world, so he make up biased gossip about everyone every day and his fans would harass those people.
Yes he's a narcissistic maniac and the BBG cultists that mindlessly follow him are moronic. But that's makes it so good. Him being such a stickler with everything is why he's able to break down the comedian psyche so well.
