Mel isn't making big blockbuster movies, but how many people in his era even are anymore? HE still stars in some movies every year and has a much easier life than most people. Because despite having incriminating video and audio on him...he gets results and works well with people.

I miss his edgy phase. He makes troony video essays and streams now (something the average zoomer loves to eat up). The animation has improved dramatically, but his writing is just a shadow of its former glory.

What are you talking about? Of course there are literal blacklists. Production staff don't care that he says Black person, but they know that the audience (Mexican Megs and troons) do. So they don't allow you to get studio work. Then you spend a decade doing freelance until you give up, because you'll never be allowed to make anything without a pipeline.
A literal blacklist would be a union refusing to let anyone hire him. What you're describing is more not hiring a guy who you know to be a problem case. There's no actual barriers to hiring him and if some exec wanted him on a team there's nothing that could be done to prevent that.
