Luckily I stopped watching it around the time the romance subplots were getting to be an issue, same with Adventure Time. I feel like I have a weird quirk where I lose interest in something right before it starts going to shit
At least you can say that Regular Show didn't end up with CJ and Margaret kissing each other while Mordo is relegated to be an incompetent mess in the background, Regular Show actually made the right call by writing off both out of the show in the last season, by comparison AT would've benefited if they killed off Bubblec**t

Well it's a bad idea in general to compare your live to that of fictional characters, but Mordecai and Rigby seriously lucked out with their situation. Two dudes w/out college degrees somehow landed a job with minimal manual labor that pays for most amenities, with extra left over for vidya and concerts and such. Their boss is overall pretty reasonable, and their coworkers are mostly chill. Keep in mind they also live in a urban area with a bunch of shit for 20-somethings to do on weekends. Most of their problems are self-inflicted because they're dumbass slackers

I feel like it did this extremely well with Mordecai and Rigby, and at times Benson. The rest of the cast were pretty set and satisfied in their lives despite their problem. I felt like skips and muscle man had some drama but were mostly good. The college stuff with Rigby and Mordecai now is really resonating with me, and the anger issues with Benson where it's really just fueled by his stress of wanting things to be good makes sense.
I want to kind of add, I never really cared about the Mordecai and Margaret stuff, but it was good compared with the Rigby and Eileen stuff, it had a point. I'm glad Rigby was generally healthier in a romantic relationship because while Rigby had a shit ton of flaw it was cool to see him with a romantic partner wasn't one.
It kind of added to the sadness of him being a really shitty friend him making up as a good boyfriend.
