I got about halfway through it. The worldbuilding and characters are alright, mech designs and animations are cool, but you literally see everything the game has to offer about 5-10 hours in. The upgrade system is linear but somehow tedious, weapon upgrades follow strange rules and you have the chance to botch it, and the plot is fairly slow. At a certain point I wanted to just skip battles and play it as a visual novel, but the game requires some map grinding due to the jump in levels in the main scenario.
How is postgame? I thought the story ended decently enough, didn't really feel like continuing playing if it was just a whole "what-if" thing. Especially since I burnt out on the final boss.
It's really weird because it goes on for literally years after the main ending but with you-know-who still alive. It's 80% filler that feels like canned content from the main campaign. The last 20% is some worldbuilding/foreshadowing stuff for Observer and the God Relayers and some shit about how the moon was formed when the ancient aliens used some primordial planet as a slingshot or whatever but the translation is so bad it's hard to make out what it's actually saying, plus it's not really anything important anyway.
Pretty much all you need to know from it is that Observer is Prometheus and butthurt mad at Zeus.
Imported the Deluxe Edition from Japan. About halfway through atm but I’ve been having fun. It’s obviously a budget game but still manages to be pretty good in spot of some shortcomings. Pity the sequel(s) seem unlikely to happen now
First of all character art is trash. It looks like some korean amateur tries to anime.
Second mech designs are bland while overdesigned, you can't tell one from another if they have similar color scheme.
Third turn based tactics are oversaturated as frick nowadays. We have SRW, Disgaea, Front Mission remakes and a whole bunch of indies in and out. Tight competition.
Finally being sony exclusive. This looks like a switch game or some indie from steam.
Yeah no shit nobody cares about it, it has way too many "filters".
What's so wrong with Koreans/Chinese made Anime designs? I mean. Sony already fricked us over by making it impossible to have anything remotely lewd and last I checked it is Chinese companies publishing lewd Anime games overseas
They're ugly?
Eyes too far apart, shading is all over the place and doesn't make physical sense. Inconsistent detalization between clothes and hair. Boring ass design choices that we've seen million of times like color-coded neckties over literally any sort of outfit.
There is a reason for smarter chink and asiatic devs to outsource the art to japanese artists.
I could forgive it a lot of things, but story setup was just so dumb - I couldn't even finish the demo.
I miss when it wasn't all about cute anime girls.
I like my animegirls very much. But when your game is 99% of them, it's kinda off putting when they try to do it "seriously" and not girls und panzer style.
It really felt I'm playing some repurposed mobage game.
You need to have some balance.
>I miss when it wasn't all about cute anime girls.
You mean never? It was never NOT about cute anime girls. You're an idiot.
Depends. Sometimes it was, like with PowerDolls. But usually it was a bit more balanced than that.
Again, I understand that you people think binary - either someone with anime girls or against them. No in between.
Anime girls now are a bit too much. Oversaturating themselves in some games more often than not than it was needed.
Legally distinct Armored Core going off doing its own brand of build a bot gameplay, fun times can't wait to hear more about the sequel that's entered production like a year ago or so.
No, the CEO of Kadokawa Games heard that Kadokawa was going to implode from the Olympics corruption scandal and bailed before it happened, taking all the game IPs with him.
Yasuda was the CEO of Kadokawa Games, he left and formed Dragami Games and took all the Kadokawa Games IPs with him.
And all the staff too, I should add. He basically just gutted Kadokawa Games. I think they didn't even move offices and just changed the sign on the door.
Playstation only jrpg? In 2022? Not named Persona?
Nah mate, not a soul played it.
Purse Owner isn't even Playstation exclusive anymore!
>Playstation only jrpg?

well, where else has it been released? or is this like the sakura wars reboot, where the pc version is essentially vaporware?
It'll probably come to PC or switch soon
It screams mobile game at me.
Except it's not on a phone.
So no.
I'm playing Quantum Maki instead.
Out on IOS yet?
Don't know. It's out in jp and cn on android.
Probably get it on Android. Apple takes out/censors all the good stuff.

Cleared it including the postgame stuff
It’s decent but definitely doesn’t feel modern. System-wise it’s on the level of tge GBA ZOE game.
The story seems interesting but is ruined by an atrocious translation which frequently devolves into ESL nonsense.
Doesn't help that the UI is mobile game tier

It's such a shame the game isn't more popular. Lack of pixiv fanart and all that.
Really goes to show how Sony's clear disdain for niche Japanese games has killed the potential popularity of the game
>System-wise it’s on the level of tge GBA ZOE game.
Is the plot as good, at least?

Just wait for the FM remakes you insecure homosexual.
I'll definitely will, projecting anon.
Yes, I project as a heterosexual. How do you know?
FM women do not matter.
>at least 3 of 5 games' plots revolve around a woman
>FM4's primary protagonist is a woman
Bruh
They're all useful wienersleeves for the male MC. Except for Royd whose wienersleeve got AI'D.
>imblying FM doesn't have cute girls
You're dumb AND clueless aren't you
>I miss when it wasn't all about cute anime girls.
You mean never? It was never NOT about cute anime girls. You're an idiot.
There's just something geometrically dull about these designs.
Perhaps off-topic but what’s the consensus on Daemon x Machina?

I can't even find pkg file of the game
Not even pirategay gives a shit imao

Just units and no story? Who even cares?
