the batman is the dark knight if the dark knight sucked in every possible way…the way the characters were so effortlessly funny fr.... it was so organic. it wasnt just staring at the screen like ._. this for 3 hours like in the case of the batman 2022 god im so sad we r never ever ever getting a good batman movie again because nobody seems to understand why the dark knight was good. i dont want to see nothing but manpain for several hours with barely any lighting thats Not why ppl loved that movie -_-
The Batman falls apart in a way the (first two) Nolan movies didn’t. Like, why does Riddler try to flood the city? His beef is only with the upper class, and he only killed the rich. It’s like they were making up the story as it went along, and they didn’t go back and fix it before filming. The Batman copies The Dark Knight in a lot of ways, but doesn’t get it.
In TDK, the Joker establishes himself as a credible threat who backs up his words, so when he says he’s gonna blow up the hospital if they don’t kill Coleman Reese it makes sense that it inspires a frenzy of crazed scared citizens to do his bidding. That’s believable.
But the Riddler somehow inspires a community of ~500 dudes to dress up exactly like him and bring shotguns to murder the new mayor. How? By promising them what? Who even are these guys?

i dont think the reeves one is bad (the suit itself. the cowl is HORRID I CANT tell u how much i hate the fricking nose or pattinsons brick shaped head oh my god. the tdk cowl is so curvy and smooth and gorgeous and has the cutest ears ) i definitely think its better than that... Thing batfleck had. also tbh i dont like the first nolan suit either like it was fine at first but when he got the second one it was like i got out of platos cave
I’ve literally seen The Dark Knight so many times I have it memorized. Like I’ll be doing nothing and I can just think “three of a kind let’s do this that’s it three guys two guys on the roof every guy gets a share five shares is plenty six shares don’t forget the guy who planned the job he thinks he can sit it out and still take a slice I know why they call him the joker so why do they call him the joker I heard he wears makeup makeup yeah to scare people you know warpaint” etc.
