I'd pick the prequels. Good plot, terrible execution.
Imagine if the Padme Anakin love story was actually told competently

Which shit threads should we remake?

The people spoke, your thread sucks, try reddit next time
You suck samegay
there's plenty of old forgotten flicks from the 50s and 60s that would make great movies today with just a little polish
There are plenty of average movies that could benefit from a remake, but would we get them? If they can't even get the good movie remakes right what makes you think they would get bad movie remakes right?
There are only two trajectories, dumpster fire movie remains the same, or it gets better. Added bonus, the movies wouldn’t have legions of fans passionately crying about the way it should be according to the original.
Batman v Superman
>Batman v Superman
This time without all the homosexual cameos from CNN and democratic senators
Alien 3
That was DOGHSHIT
Lightyear
Instead it should have a psuedo sequel where the film was just a bad dream Buzz had and takes place in the Star Command show, having Buzz and his team ally themselves with Zurg to beat a greater threat. Also it’s Andy taking his kids to see the film, Zurg sacrifices himself to save Buzz, reveals he’s his father, and now Buzz takes Zurg’s place as emperor.
oiy, c**t.
why did you remake my meme? I shared this 2 hours ago.

I like pusy, I'm not gay. ur gay.

Star Wars prequels.
Return of the Living Dead Part 3 comes to mind. I don't really like that movie much but I think you could do something interesting with the concept. Morbidity, eroticism and letting go of someone you love.
Make a good Dragonball Evolution
That's near impossible.
I unironically think they should turn John Carpenter's Prince Of Darkness into a TV show.
It's regarded as one of his worst movies, but I think it has a LOT going for it. There are so many little things that are really amazing. The weird shots of unsettling planetary alignments, the shots of homeless people all acting in unison as if controlled, everyone having the exact same dream that's being beamed to them from a future where everything has gone wrong, I think it's easily the most EERIE movie Carpenter ever made. I can imagine a TV show based on it being fantastic, but only if it's a slow burn, with all of those eerie vibes intact.
I was actually going to suggest this as well (not necessarily the TV show aspect, but I like that idea). My hesitation, though, comes from the fact that I don't think anyone could recreate the atmosphere. No Donald Pleasence is unfortunate as well.
I said TV show because there's a lot that could be fleshed out over a few seasons. Like the whole revelation that Jesus was a space alien who came to Earth to warn people about Satan and the vessel he was imprisoned in, and how Satan seeks to bring the Anti-God into our realm from the anti-realm, and all this weird ancient-astronaut stuff, it sounds silly when you type it out, but in the movie it's very eerie and sinister. I think all of that could be fleshed out bit by bit over a TV show in a way they couldn't really in a movie.
Yeah, I like that idea and I see what you mean. If they could competently pull it off I'd give it a shot.
The tying particle physics to theology was fascinating, culminating with the Anti-God.
>Suppose what your faith has said is essentially correct. Suppose there is a universal mind controlling everything, a god willing the behavior of every subatomic particle. Well, every particle has an anti-particle, its mirror image, its negative side. Maybe this universal mind resides in the mirror image instead of in our universe as we wanted to believe. Maybe he's anti-god, bringing darkness instead of light.
Remake Ring 2 with the director of the first American film instead of the Japanese guy and with the original corpse face designer.
Tokyo Drift
A post apocalypse movie about a guy and a female bounty hunter searching the ruins of Las Vegas for a sexy female robot body while being chased by gun-wielding cultists sounds awesome if you could do it with an actual budget.
Gili
Plan 9 from Outerspace
Trolls 2
Taxi
Manos:The Hands of Fate
Waterworld
The Postman
Red Zone Cuba
Beast of Yucca Flats
In Time
The concept is great, time is quite literally money, big rich fricks live forever and poor people die young. There's no "old" people because everyone stops aging at 25. Some people are tired of being eternal, others just want to live one more day. Rich and poor places are literally called "timezones", etc. There's plenty of great stuff to do here. Plus, the girl was cute.
They will remake it but with a black male mc and a pale white woman instead.
Jason Takes Manhattan, only this time it's not on a boat for three quarters of the movie.
The Phantom Menace.
Have JJ Abrams direct it
The Fly is the only good movie I can think of where the original was pretty bad and the remake was significantly better, I haven't seen the original Scarface, many people say its bad, but most still say its decent, so I don't know if it counts.
Reboot Black Panther with a white guy and he's gay. Robert Pattinson should play him.
Congo
This has already been done plenty of times to notable success. The Lion King (1994) and Star Wars (1977) were both remakes of shitty jap movies that nobody cares about and were both vastly superior to the source material.
>Source: trust me bro
BASED
Lion King was a remake of Kimba The White Lion. Star Wars was a remake of The Hidden Fortress. Source: Google it you tard
Blow-up. Good premise but I'd actually give it a plot
Dr strangelove
They should remake the Evangelion movie. That movie was fricking dumb but I bet a live action remake would be really good
