>season episode ends with Jon approaching Kings Landing with his army >cuts to Cersei looking over the horizon >we think it's the same day >as Jon approaches the horizon >shot of Kings Landing frozen in ice >cut back to Cersei >Night King appears with his army where "Jon was going to appear"
IMO it’s reddit to hate the NK or the smirk. I thought he was a boring villain UNTIL Hardhome when he raises his arms and smirks at Jon Snow as everyone he just killed rises up behind him. I liked that he had a sense of humor and wasn’t just some dumb automaton. He knew bringing all those guys back before their eyes would make the humans shit their fricking pants.
As a showonly it was kino all the way through except I have a very strict rule to fast forward through ANY scene with Greyworm in it and pretend it doesn’t exist. Exquisitely filters out the Bran-elect scene too. I also FFWD through all Sandsnake scenes except the ones where they get killed by Euron and Cersei.
That was fine. Even the dragon not burning him smirk was fine. Its just nothing came from it. Not saying it had too, I don't know. Just felt forced. Especially when prior to it happen was a load of shit and after.
>jons reaction to his sword stopping the white walkers >kits acting and "NYAAAHHH" shocked noise >the sword noise deflecting it >the white walkers shocked expression >Night Kings disgust reaction
kino
I don’t think that’s what the story was going for but it didn’t stop reddit from projecting that onto Dany and shitting their wiener cages when she turned out to be the final boss.
normies got mad because feminist character became a mass murdering femcel villain in the last 3 episodes. Chuds got mad because ice apocalypse zombie plot which was built up to high heavents got quickly dealt with in 1 episode of anime-tier asspull. Double whammy on both sides of the fan base.
Nta - It had mega kino cinematography but it absolutely fell flat on everything else. All in all I would have given it 7/10 too, 10 (visual experience) + 4 (story, overall acting) ÷ 2 = 7
Also the people who complained because it was "too dark" are moronic.
my theory on figuring out the moment GoT starts being shit is when a character is killed/an arc is aborted and no reactions occur for it.
Consider Season 1, where any minor character's death/injury/choice can cascade into major plot points. I can't pick out any minor character who dies who didn't influence a major plot in some way.
In as soon as season 5, you get deaths and plot resolutions that are clearly meant to tie knots of confusing characters and arcs. Deaths are meant to clear writing room chaff.
The one that always stuck out to me was how they spent so long building up how Tyrion needed to get to Volantis (?), and how he was one of the most clever men in the Kingdoms.
But whatever GRRM had planned was too complex, so Jorah shows up and Fultons the midge away to Kaleesi. And then he turns out to give terrible advice for the rest of the show.
who the frick
puts their most powerful siege weaponry
outside the FRICKING WALLS
and also SENDS 9/10ths OF THEIR ARMY INTO A SUICIDE CHARGE
????????????????????????????????????
>Jon stabs Dany >Drogon flies away with her body >last scene of the episode, Drogon is way up north of the Wall >the real Night King is there and he reanimates Dany to be his Night Queen. The end.
Could have been kino. And a perfect way to set up Jon's spin-off.
Imagine Abby and Brittany Hensel giving you a blowjob
they can keep it
>season episode ends with Jon approaching Kings Landing with his army
>cuts to Cersei looking over the horizon
>we think it's the same day
>as Jon approaches the horizon
>shot of Kings Landing frozen in ice
>cut back to Cersei

Epic.
What should have been his first words to everyone?
He didn’t speak. He listened. And unironically that’s what no one else did.
The fact they made him smirk for an epic reddit burlington bar reaction and nothing to come of it was so gay.

yea it was kino
it's one of few later episodes I really enjoyed despite being a seething bookgay

Was Hardhome the last genuinely good episode of the series?
Battle of the Bastards was fun but logistically and tactically moronic.
Episode where Dany attacks the Lannister caravan.
Oh, you mean the one where she burns all of the food dooming millions to starve during winter?
Well she did then kill everyone in the city who would have eaten the food so it was a zero sum.
Just because some sois liked it doesn’t mean it’s not good.
>jons reaction to his sword stopping the white walkers

kino
Upvoted. It was hella cool.
>ice to meet you
>Alright everyone, chill
>I'm sure you're all wondering about my tax policies,
>mfw his tax policy was to freeze all assets
same vibes
Emilia after edging me through the entire runtime of the series +HOTD.
kek, pun-based economics can only be an improvement over our current model
HotD Season 2 is gonna be great if it actually goes into Rhaenyra's moronic tax policies that cause her downfall
LOOKS LIKE YOU GUYS NEED TO
CHILL OUT
>Freeze global.
bababooie
Real ending got leaked awhile ago.
white walkers should've looked more like pic related and less like bald blue zombies
>white woman leads a horde of brown people to bring down a successful kingdom because she thinks it's HER turn
Was Deanerys a euphemism for feminism?
I don’t think that’s what the story was going for but it didn’t stop reddit from projecting that onto Dany and shitting their wiener cages when she turned out to be the final boss.
>let's not make the Night King the final antagonist who attacks King's Landing
lmao
i have never watched a single episode of GOT.
so spill me the beans why were people so mad about the ending?
normies got mad because feminist character became a mass murdering femcel villain in the last 3 episodes. Chuds got mad because ice apocalypse zombie plot which was built up to high heavents got quickly dealt with in 1 episode of anime-tier asspull. Double whammy on both sides of the fan base.
Well said.
8 years of "Winter is Coming" ended with a damp squib. All that for what?
Winter should have been in full force by the end of S4, and S5+ are winter seasons. We got like 4 flakes.
You can view the exact moment it turns to shit
>The Long Night
>7.5
Fricking how? It's actually a worse episode than The Bells
Not liking the long night is low IQ. The Dothraki charge and Night king death is stupid but it’s still kino. I say.
Nta - It had mega kino cinematography but it absolutely fell flat on everything else. All in all I would have given it 7/10 too, 10 (visual experience) + 4 (story, overall acting) ÷ 2 = 7
Also the people who complained because it was "too dark" are moronic.
It happened at least 4 seasons prior
It went to shit as soon as they ran out of material from the books and had to make it up themselves.
season 6 is when the show started to decline people were just more forgiving for the bad writing because there were some cool moments and spectacles
S6 is the worst one.
>and original content
indeed you can

I don’t know anything about battle but was there any reason to have any troops outside the walls at all?
Not really, no. At most you'd want a back or side gate to send cavalry charges to mop up or reduce tension on the walls
>Jon stabs Dany
>Drogon flies away with her body
>last scene of the episode, Drogon is way up north of the Wall
>the real Night King is there and he reanimates Dany to be his Night Queen. The end.

the jon snow sequel will fix season 7/8 if that's still a thing
It isn’t
>look up every possible theorycraft on how the books would end
>they all suck
This series was doomed to end badly, wasn’t it?
