Practically every newbie hero at that time flopped. I want to think part of it was the timing, since most of the newbies of that era were born off the back of civil war which everyone wanted to forget, but also because this was before Marvel became desperate to renew interest in their heroes for the MCU and we weren't given a deluge of teen heroes and teen ripoffs of older heroes.

You're saying it like most of those are successful

Considering that the bar for success is that at least three of them are still being actively pushed by Marvel compared to zero like normal, yes they are phenomenally successful

One of my favorite costumes. Looks good while still being entirely practical.

I got sick of gravity always putting everyone down

I just throwing this out there, but MAYBE someone who sold out everyone to fricking HYDRA deserved to be put down.

I liked him. But really I don’t want modern Marvel to touch any of the characters I like.

Maybe in ten years when Warner and Disney are dead and the Japs buy it.

Does McKeever even work in the industry anymore? He wrote quiet a few comics I followed back in the day.

Every NEXT hero failed outside Elsa Bloodstone
it must be the English Irish voice.

I doubt anyone buys elsa comics, probably the usual marvel agenda

Her first limited run story did well as her battleworld stuff
Back then she was literally buffy the vampire slayer with bigger breasts

I found it incredibly refreshing to have a new hero who didn't start crime fighting because of some tragic backstory or unfulfilled goal, but just because he got superpowers and that's just what you do when you get superpowers.

But the ideia was make him to kill him in that space story.
