How the actual frick did you homosexuals get so obsessed with this Primos-tier trash pretending it was good then entirely ignore Tron and Motorcity and Wander
The frick was wrong with 2012 Cinemaphile?

I watched both Gravity Falls and Wander. I remember catching the S2 premiere on TV.

I watched all of those. Although, I dropped Wander after all the Dominator focus.

I didn't drop it because of her but she really ruined any thread or topic related to the show because female characters like that always attract the worst types of waifugays.

Tron was okay, not brilliant. Haven't seen Motorcity. Wander I would marry.

And thought it would lead to some kind of civil war within the family. Hirsch didn't have the guts to take it that far, only hint at it.

I remember that too. I thought Dipper was going to be pissed that she didn't listen to him and fall into a trust no one phase where that warning would actually matter. The picture frame breaking especially seemed to imply that, but I guess what it was actually implying was that the arrival of Ford would EVENTUALLY cause them slight turmoil over an argument about Dipper staying in Gravity Falls which was barley focused on and Mabel always gets what she wants anyway.

Can someone explain to me why Mabel-defenders were so rampant even after the show concluded?
I'm socially moronic, but the narrative made it clear how often Mabel took advantage of Dipper's kindness, and how much Dipper was willing to sacrifice even just to provide his sister temporary happiness. And then the ending doubled down on Dipper needing to sacrifice any type of desire he had for himself, just for his sister he constantly slaved for throughout the series.

Alex Hirsch even had to write a piece in the journal about how Mabel was sorry because the show never did it properly. The only time Mabel properly apologized was the sock puppet episode where she was willing to let Dipper die for her boy-crush of the week, and would have if Bill Cipher didn't guilt trip her. And she continued to act selfish after her apology as if it didn't happen.
How did people excuse all of that?

Don’t forget that one episode where dipper finally decides to get a bunch of girlfriends and then mable ruins all his fun even though she does the same exact thing

It's pretty annoying how Dipper was shunned out of romance at every angle. Yeah, him getting with Wendy is a fantasy, but then they not only have her let him down in a heartwarming way, they proceed to have him see like a 4 year old Wendy who says he's cute, and then Mabel points out how that's totally the same thing as him and teen Wendy and that its equally creepy, and he has some "wow... WOW" moment. Then he's revealed to have a stash of photos of her in another episode, still suffering about it and being shown in such a shitty light. Then when he tries to look for girls his own age, all of that bullshit happened.

I wouldn't be surprised if he just gave up on love and became bitter and isolated.

This was a trend in 2010’s cartoons. Other male protagonists such as Finn and Mordecai went through the same thing.

              >I wouldn't be surprised if he just gave up on love and became bitter and isolated.
Pretty much. Not even just on the love aspect, but friendship aspect too.
With flashbacks to when Dipper and Mabel were children, along with how easily Mabel made friends in Gravity Falls, Dipper will continue to have a hard time fitting in despite his efforts and Mabel tearing him down.

Mabel has conditioned Dipper to believe his only source of happiness is her as that's her natural personality. And no, not in a "sexy incest yandere" way, as Mabel will easy let Dipper rot once he stops being useful for her personal gain and when he wakes up to the fact that his sister is a parasite.

                >not in a "sexy incest way"
                I beg to differ.
                >only source of happiness is her
That is a common case of incestual behaviour you described. Mab and Dip were based off Hirsh and his sis afterall.

The things is, self-inserters don't care about the boy character.
    >Lincoln Loud
    >Marco Diaz
    >Dipper Pines

All they care about is how many girls the boy interacts with. Then they'll age them up, change his design a bit to make him more anime self-insert tier attractive. And give him a full harem of off-model girls from the series.

The plot point about Dipper staying in Gravity Falls to become the next Ford was a really cool concept, maybe for a spinoff show or comic. Shame it went literally nowhere and was dropped immediately.
