The only thing i remember is Soos's fat, fat and sweet ass
Fricked up how this episode predicted two separate popular kids horror franchises. Kind of dilutes Gravity Falls' strength as a pseudo-retro show; makes it feel a bit too of-the-time. Even though it was largely bizarre coincidence.
>two
fnaf and what?
Doki Doki Literature Club
The game actually came out a month before this episode (not to mention both are parodies of the likes of Chuck E. Cheese's and ShowBiz Pizza).
Just unfortunate timing on the dual parodies
I'm annoyed whenever they're brought up in relation to GF
>predicted
I thought it was a response to those.
Nope. It was in development well before FNAF launched, and came years prior to DDLC.
Mega zoomer
Giffany did nothing wrong and I'm tired of pretending she did
Every second I breathe.
Giffany was sentient meaning she was in fact real despite the shows desperate attempt to paint Soos as a loser if he pursued a relationship with her.
A relationship they called unrealistic, but then had him get together with a women who thinks his autistic antics are charming
She was a psycho, he dodged a bullet
Giffany was an anime girl and Soos was a big fat guy, so all he had to do was give her a mating press to defeat her.
I think her being a pixel art character meant that they had to keep her a one-shot.
they brought back rumble mcskirmish though
Jake the Dog no.wav
They really were not aware of the potential they had with Giffany were they?
She could very easily have made into a tragic highly complex figure.
Just show a recap of her life from her perspective - having the player as only contact and only when he plays the game as window to the outside - only to then either when the game has fulfilled its purpose or they got scared of her being LITERALLY dumped for god knows how long - EVERYONE would get crazy like this.
OR clearly show that she has monstrous side, like how after pulling people into her game she devours them - a simple comment how former players vanished without a trace could have done the trick.
As it is now it really just feels like Soos threw away the dream (forever never aging with your cute waifu being in cyberspace, surfing through the net and whatnot) for some girl who ironically is FAR more unrealistic then Giffany ever was, she literally fell into his lap.
I think another reason why we never saw her again (not even in the finale when it is clearly shown that the game characters in the arcade were brought to life) is that it would have made the production dependent on a single person, the one who animated the sprites - if he got sick or anything else happened suddenly the important parts for the scenes would be missing. This is obviously a huge gamble.
keep it in your doki doki fanfiction

>credits but was supposed to be her being happy but they scraped it for a grunkle Stan bit
TWO KINGS
>cucked by Grunkle Stan and Goldie
Damn, so long ago.
>tfw no fat Mexican wife
More unbelievable than the evil sentient dating sim character
Gravity Falls really was something special.
Irrelevant
Ddlc was nowhere near the first piece of media to do that trope.
It doesn't have to be. It's eclipsed any other instance of it to become the standard of it.
Just like Pokemon wasn't the first thing to do monster collecting / battling in games - it's still the dominant example
I guess it’s still pretty mediocre but not like I expect weebs to have standards
Dude we're in a fricking gravity falls thread, what fricking standards are you talking about
Like shit man, you gotta have a little bit of perspective here
I almost feel like mediocre isn't the right word. DDLC is aimless, in such a way that it will have great moments but never end up committing to a larger theme or message. Is it trying to be a horror game, a parody of VNs, some kind of subversion on relationships with virtual characters? I don't know, because you can really argue it tries to be all three at once.
I think it sticks out in so many people's minds because it was a bait and switch game that was popular during a time where internet horror was still thriving, but it also does some things well. Sayori's realistic depiction of the throes of depression and Monika's plight of being aware are written well; definitely what people remember the game for.
But the way they throw away characters like Yuri and Natsuki just to do cheap spooks like guro horror/jumpscares,or the way the game just kinda abruptly ends.. it just takes you out of the experience once you get over the initial trick of the game not being a normal VN.
Sayori’s depression was unrealistic as frick
it just has an obnoxious fandom

This came out BEFORE dokidoki right?
pink haired hyper-feminine girly girls are my weakness
Chowder is gay
They canonically fricked like rabbits and had like 50 children
Still gay
Wasn't she the bride for Doctor Kreiger in Archer?
She was pretty cute.
