These are genuinely scarier than most crappy "horror" things today. Not THAT scary, but Huggy Wuggy or Blimbo are mogged by these.

Wanna feel old? Going by the pattern, soon enough the mid-late 2000s is gonna be old enough to be the retro thing that gets haunted as a horror franchise. What's that even gonna look like?
All I got are "haunted indoor skate parks" and "haunted indoor amusement park/arcade hybrids"
Spooky Yo Gabba Gabba with lore about how the DJ is a mad scientist who did some Floop from spy kids shit?

The very first dream I ever remember having was a nightmare I had when I was 2 years old. This image basically resembles the second half of that nightmare.

I bet Clutch Cargo would make you zoomers shit your pants.

Clutch Cargo is legitimately uncanny and offputting. If you're so low-budget you have to resort to uncanny valley shit like that you should just make it an audio serial or something.

Oldgay here. I remember in the early days of the Internet "Bert is Evil" became a bit of a meme site.

This was back in 1997. You can tell this was a long time ago just from the primitive way the site was designed:
    https://deadagent.net/bert/bert.htm

Oh shit, I’d totally forgotten about this. Me and a friend got in trouble for looking at that site in the computer lab when we were in middle school.

That site instantly reminded me of prison pen pal sites, which seems fitting

      how is this still up?

If you look at the bottom you can see it says
        >"This is an official Mirror site, all works herein were part of the original Bert is Evil!"

The original got taken down a long time but a bunch of mirrors took it's place:
        >"In the summer of 1998, due to the website's immense cult popularity, it became too expensive for Ignacio to continue running. Instead of shutting the site down, he offered to allow anyone who was willing to mirror his original website the opportunity to host it.[4] As a result, dozens of mirrors appeared, increasing the website's popularity and visibility."

This reminds me of that thread from a week or so ago where some kid made a fake Qubo shutdown where all the characters get shot with le epin gore that people said was so scary and for some reason believed was real but the actual channel shutdown (cutting the feed in the middle of a random episode without warning to say it’s no longer available was far more unsettling
