What do you lose out on if you upload? I don't upload much because it the qbittorent ui is not conducive to me doing so, but I don't think it matters whether I upload or not in terms of my internet usage etc as I should (iirc) have unlimited dls/upls.

well I thought since it's better than HDDs while turned on and active. combined with the fact that ssds have lower failure rate while turned on over the years, and I plan on having it on constantly
I've never had an hdd for a long time (10 years or so) and I'm just schizoing that it might fail after such a long time
you dont, but consider hdd's stop spinning after a certain amount of time if data is not being read or written to them. then when you need to seed or download something, they spin up again. this introduces both lag and mechanical wear. an ssd does not have this problem. 1tb for ssd is like 60$, 2tb for hdd is like 60$
