Even before the MCU the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and Singer X-Men movies were also huge hits and the Dark Knight trilogy is still lauded as the greatest capeshit movies ever made with the Dark Knight itself frequently landing on "top 10 movies of all time" lists. Disney for virtually every creative and casting decision they've made on the MCU from 2022 onwards. Just when it seemed like they'd made it through the era of Covid and audiences were still excited for more MCU, they dropped the ball and kept fumbling, and committed to doubling down on everything they're doing that's turning audiences off.

Marvel adapt they characters too cartoony from the start. They are need to have just a bit more depth, same for the world building.
A mix of pretty much everything. Dumb masses being okay with shit-tier quality (Avengers 1 was the first big-scale example of this), the studios realising this, directors putting up with studios dictating every movie, and directors not giving a shit about the movies because of the latter, resulting in shit-tier production design.
The only directors who really wanted to make something unique were Snyder (who didn't have proper scripts), Edgar Wright, Matt Reeve, and James Gunn. James Gunn is a tryhard who at least managed to produce a decent trilogy, Reeve had success on many accounts, Wright was blueballed by Disney, and Snyder was never told by the studio that he should have another writer on-board. James Wan comes to mind as well because Aquaman was great but that was probably just lightning in a bottle considering what people say about the second movie
