I really wish more people would talk about this shit with at least some sense of historical neutrality. But if it's not these yahoos it's the overly sarcastic morons looking for any excuse to get offended at classic literature not being exactly feminist.

iirc JRR Tolkien envisioned the Orcs in LOTR more as like... the mongolian or hunnic hordes, and some descriptions reference this like them being short, slant-eyed, and having small wieners
