Jay was always the smarter one
Pleb Leddit Media has always been wrong about everything. Movie critics are critics because they can't make movies. They're losers.
I actually don't remember that at all.
This.
>Joker Review
What? All he said was that he wasn't impressed and that it's Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy for normalgays. He's right. It's a movie that's been done, better at that.
Let's be honest jay has never seen those movies
>. He's right. It's a movie that's been done, better at that.
We are not talking about some smart guy here. We are talking about a homosexual failed filmmaker that defended Abrams of all people bashing Lucas. Say what you want about Lucas but the guy knows how to create a story and a concept. The fact this homosexual even dared to complain about originality while defended a rehash of a New Hope (The Force Awakens) and a leftist rehash of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (The Last Jedi) is just hilarious. It makes no sense.
the prequels are not original stories
Jay liter forgot half of the events of that movie prior to review
>Hurr the movie never tells us Arthur is off his meds
>Social worker tells Arthur that there is no longer funding for his condition
>Shot of numerous empty pill bottles telling the audience that Arthur is in fact out of pills and off his meds
Jay is unable to remove Todd Phillips from The Joker, but Freddy Got Fingered is a masterpiece I guess
CHARISMATIC
AS
HELL
None of them are the smarter one.
the dude likes b-horror movies, he´s as dumb as the rest
Rich is unironically smarter and funnier than both of them combined.
rich is autistic not smart
No, I don't remember.
Another homosexual youtuber shill thread
no
I sure don't. I don't watch unfunny morons.
This is not just hypocrisy, it's actually worse. Mike said that and that gave Disney what they thought was a mandate from the fans to hire JJ for TFA. JJ did his doco-cam, snap-zoom horrible style just as Mike had hoped, and requested. The Kenobi show is now implementing that style purely and solely to keep stylistic continuity with the sequel trilogy cinematic language. So RLM are shitting on not only what they fricking suggested, but what is actually there because of their suggestion. They are shitting on their own work
funny to imagine the disney exec who bet it all on adjusting for their complaints, seeing them complain about exactly what they asked for in the new stuff, and realizing in horror that they just complain unthinkingly. that they were just zombie complainers, what they'd suggested had no meaning
hahahahah.
RLM media fans have their own head canon.
Nobody cares about these reviews, they have zero cultural impact.
>WE INVENTED SLENDERMAN!!!
>w-wait no the popular internet reviews praised by Simon Pegg (JJ’s friend) and Rian Johnson (TLJ director) had absolutely NO influence
>even though Disney followed the criticisms I had!
yeah man i'm a huge RLM fan that's why I think Mike is an embarrassing moron who ruined everything
>RLM media
What does the M stand for

You do know that Mike and Jay are different people right?
Look homosexuals. When the JJ Star Trek movies were coming out they were so unlike Star Trek and more so like Star Wars that it actually occurred to a lot of people that it would have been better for everyone if that was the case. This is mostly to do with the specifics of space fights in the JJ Star Trek movies. Nobody could have predicted the absolute log of shit story wise JJ would have produced for the SW movies as well as not even pulling off the space ship fights.
>This is mostly to do with the specifics of space fights in the JJ Star Trek movies
Except that Mike pulled 4 distinct clips from JJ directing different movies, where in each JJ is running along with and hitting the camera to make it shake, and the camera being dynamic is what he's specifically talking about in the voiceover as being
what's missing because "Lucas just didn't want to have to get out of his chair and move his monitors"
>Mike pulled
On Plinketts, Mike was the talent, Jay was the grunt. It was probably Jay's very hands that found and clipped and edited together those clips of the camera being 'violently shaken in place' as a good thing
The problem with JJ is that he had too much control over casting and story. Mike should have known that bringing a character like JJ to manage Star Wars was a monkey's paw deal and he wouldn't have stopped at simply directing.
Firstly you're not even engaging with the post you're replying to, just continuing to write on your own topic obliviously, secondly - > Mike should have known that bringing a character like JJ to manage Star Wars
What are you even talking about? Are you of the belief that Mike hired JJ to manage star wars? Otherwise why would you say this when the topic is Mike suggesting JJ should have been hired to shake the camera?
The camera work in Obi-Wan Kenobi is much more nonsensical than in Abrams's sequels, though I'm still not a fan of them.
Remember when Mike called Force Awakens and Jurassic World masterpieces.
Mike has always been a moron.
Still better than The Recovered
Why did mike ever like JJ, does he actually like his nutrek flicks
He loved the first one at least
he fricking loved at least one of them
JJ is fine when he's a producer just not a writer. Because all of the problems with nu-Wars is the writing, no amount of good production can fix it. All three films and the spinoff shows are competently made and have broadly good ideas; but the writing is very bad and there's no focus or consistent themes through any of the films and no arcs. Because of this the films suffer greatly and aren't remembered like the OT and PT were. Lucas wasn't perfect, but even the PT knew not to introduce more than 6 characters and the amount of characters reduces to 2 by the end of Ep3.
At any rate it's long-term decline. Disney has no idea how to handle or write anything it didn't personally create. They couldn't even sign on a single director for all three films.
They keep picking directors on a flavor of the month basis only to have it blow up in their faces constantly.
If you ask me, Disney should have put Gore Verbinski in charge of directing the Star Wars sequels and put JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson in charge of directing people to their seats in the theater.
> They couldn't even sign on a single director for all three films.
kind of like the ot?
>and the spinoff shows
Both Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan have some deeply embarrassing moments independent of the screenwriting though. The shaking is just one example; the camerawork in Obi-Wan shits the bed almost every time a shot involves moving the camera. It's not the ugliest show committed to television or anything, and many of the static shots look fine-to-great, but there are a number of strange choices.
no because that didn't happen, incel
the discussion leads up to it but here's the specific (four different) clips he pulled of JJ hitting the camera https://youtu.be/bYWAHuFbLoc?t=3528
He's talking about using a steadicam you moron, not shakycam.
right so when jj is hitting the side of it rapidly with his hand, that's going to make the shot 'steady'
its tight
You're genuinely moronic.
>a camera that's shaking isn't a shaky cam
ok. kek
That's not the point of the comparison. Did you even watch the video you linked? The contrast is between undynamic camerawork and using something like Steadicam across fuller sets to get more dynamic action. He contrasts Abrams with Lucas sitting in front of screens with static shots where backdrops are just swapped. Shaky cam is not relevant.
>well, ok it is shaking but.. that's not relevant
Correct. You can confess you didn't know what a Steadicam was until a few minutes ago, anon. You're still a moron but ignorance is forgivable.
It is when Abrams was constantly shaking aforementioned camera to get more dynamic footage. Along with the lens flares, this approach was actually criticised for years for being pointlessly surface level 'exciting'.
You’re unbelievably stupid. There’s a difference between shaky cam and a steady cam. Even if there wasn’t, Mike is the one talking about JJ Abrams. The person in OP is Jay, a completely different person, you dumb frick.
Did you really think I would think you're a new poster and not the one seething with the exact same word choice two posts ago haahaha
You’re too moronic to live
remember when "the wizard" bulied warner bros. into making black adam
OT
>over-explain some minor scene in extreme detail, excusing and hand-waving away any possible criticism
Prequels
>lol this sucks
Wow what impressive criticism
just post it as a webm I don't want to watch this shit
>two totally different movies using the same technique must be of equal quality
Hey Schindler’s List has actors in it and The Room also has actors in it, so I guess I have to judge both of them as being equally good.
>morons literally think a fat guy from milkaukee is at fault for star wars sucking
When JJ trek was announced
>OMG RLM TOTALLY INFLUENCED DISNEY
when people online started shitting on the movies
>w-well you know of course they definitely didn’t listen to some random youtubers lmfao
Kek doesn’t even matter anyway, they did exactly what Mike wanted and the movies were the worst in the franchise. No matter what, it proved RLM know jack shit about filmmaking and that their videos were always garbage.
remember when rich evans made fox agree to four avatar sequels
HAHAHA I GET IT, even though it’s obvious Disney followed the Plinkett reviews and some of the people involved tweeted about them haha, so ridiculous.
Anyone have a clip of this shit? I'm not actually going to watch the show but I'm curious.
Mike has the unfortunate condition of being a Star Trek fan, and was speaking under the intoxication of Star Trek when he made this statement.
Also the shakes cam in Obi Wan is the worst shakes came i’ve seen in my fricking life. At least JJ knows how to handle that
remember when one of them unironically shilled an interracial relationship featuring CHARISMATIC AS HELL in the TFA review?
One of the very few redeeming graces of TLJ is that Rian derailed CANONICAL ON-SCREEN SHITTED IN STAR WARS for his yellow fever
please understand that there was never going to be any finn-rey romance. the trilogy was very conceived as the most generic romance-novel plot of meeting and falling for a 'rogue'. it's completely obvious right from the start of 7, IF you've ever read a romance novel. Or even seen some shit like beauty and the beast. Finn is there to be like the gay talking candlestick
Post some webms of this disaster. I could pirate it if I wanted but I don't even have the desire to do that, I just want to laugh at Disney.
