Remember when they made an actual Don't Hug Me I'm Scared show? And that it was actually good?

It wasn’t just good, it was great
I do, yeah
holding out hope the second season comes sooner rather than later
Did they confirm a second season was happening? I thought it was one and done, like a lot of British shows.
I don’t know, I was being unrealistically optimistic
I hope the second season goes into actual detail on why they’re there. Season one was heavy on the plot teasing
I think we can say the tv show was the second season.
It actually managed to surpass the webshow
I am so glad they scrapped the pilot. Part of the charm of the series is how claustrophobic it feels. Interacting with multiple recurring characters just wouldn't work, and the town they'd planned would be better suited to another type of show. Just shriveled up I reckon.
Duck singing in canned pilot was awesome though.
OR YOU CAN BE THE ONE THAT MODS FOR FREE ALL THE FORUMS
OR YOU CAN BE THE ONE THAT POSTS THAT SCENE FROM THE SIMPSONS
OR YOU CAN BE THE ONE WHO GETS DOUBLE DIGITS WHEN HE'S POSTING (Check 'em!)
I COULD BE THE ONE TO FORCE A MEME
CHANGE IP
AND MAKE A THREAD
And I’ll I’ll create a digital thread based around Pepe.
Yep.
Grolton is the dog.
remember when they made a 20 minute pilot that they refuse to release
For the best, apparently it was instantly dated
It wasn't what I was expecting , but it was great on its own right.
Puppet stuff is generally great
I think it's because of the level of dedication you need to actually do puppets, it's very hard for some cash hungry business man or attention prostitute narcissist to sneak their way in. You have to honestly love puppets and have talent to get away with it. The only exception I can think of is Disney Muppets but that's because they bought it as an existing franchise.
but what about his penis
his explosive corkscrew penis
Duckguy is the best

My friend showed my the original creativity video back in 2012. Then we kept up with every release even the HELP gofundme campaign but I didn't bother watching the series until a month ago. Man I loved it! It feels like it belongs on adult swim I didn't think it would be so perfect as a 30 minute show
"We're big bois" "yea...big bois"
I remember coming across the original video with a friend when it was still new. We had no idea that it had a twist and just thought it was a cute video. Seeing my friend react to the ending in real time was something.
I never liked Creativity but Time sold me on the concept.
Oh yeah
It WAS actually good
Kinda surprising
my girlfriend showed me this and i honestly couldn't get into it
Think it's much harder to get into anything a girlfriend suggests.
I liked all of it and it generally had the same quality each episode. More than you can say for most web cartoons and series. It also had a really good conclusion that tied up everything nicely. Would recommend.
i remember wanting to frick the robot
ATTENTION FREAKS, IT'S ME.
It's a vending machine
It's a vending machine
We all get lunch from the vending machine
Some people might say it's not real food but I quite like it and I think you will too!
>Some people might say it's not real food but I quite like it and I think you will too!
I've had similar conversations with my mom over gas station hot dogs.

Can someone answer the phone please?
Yup, what are the creators up to at the moment anyways?
>Dark Crystal revival is good
>Dhmis revival is good
What is it about puppets that attracts actual talented people? Is it just because it requires a lot of work?
Yes. Unironically just that. You cannot halfass it, there are no shortcuts, no tricks. You NEED to put in the effort just to get off the floor, so once they start doing it, they make everything, writing, story, setting, characterization, comedic timing etc. good, because their mindset is already on making something good and creativity flows easily. The effort required also gatekeeps morons away, foresting real talent and a sense of community between puppetgays, much less diversity hires, e-girls, popularity-hungry influencers, suits hankering for a wider audience, etc. around, they have to carry less ticks sucking their blood overall, they don't have to accommodate them to make anything, like wannabee cartoonists who can get barred from a professional career for a single instance of wrongthink on their twitter seven yars ago.
So yeah, literally just work. Work uplifts and defines a man. A man is known by the product of his work. Work and effort is fricking everything, even when it comes to entertainment,
You say that and then we get shit like the Fraggle reboot or Disney Muppets
not being made by Disney is a prerequisite for being good whatever the medium.
There is also The Happytime Murders, which is basically "what if muppets swear, frick and take drugs?"
They ripped off that dogshit movie Peter Jackson made 30 years ago?
>"what if X swear, frick and take drugs?"
That's basically every "adult" media today.
At least stuff like DHMIS and the Dark Crystal makes an actual effort to make the subject matter appealing to adults over children.
Puppets are art in themselfs, I was thinking about doing puppets but I know I would have no move to america to even think about it
I dont know I feel ive missed the boat on my education
don't forget about picrel.
Only really started watching this 2 weeks ago and kind of irritated I didn't watch it sooner.
>wow! It's nothing!
Only TV show released in the last 10 years that actually made me laugh. Good times.
Did the original DHMIS people do the Cinemaphile parody or not?
I heard the rumor one of them were involved, but only giving advice and shit.
Actually. you would have to avoid moving to america as hard as you could.
>one of them were involved
I call bullshit.
I guess we have like theater but most stuff thats not for theater is in the US
Also I looked at the pay and its minimum wage. Fricking hell
Yeah.
but what about
my shredder?
we've got to get things ready for the big day, big day
I really doubt we're getting another season sadly, didn't this show specifically only air on an uk only streaming network? I had to watch youtube reuploads because of it like probably most people.
>spammer pushed this thread and many others to page 10 or off the board entitely
Bump
I was causious before it came out, I was like how can they stretch this into one 20 minute episode, let alone like 6 out of a internet video from like a decade ago
God I was never so happy to be proven wong
Maybe
Remember how they almost made it a deep lore YouTube bait with political message until they realized how big a mistake it would have been and instead they made don't Hugh me I'm scared but let longer?
I really like when ideas get recycled in a show but explored in a different way
Like yellow guy had an episode about love then he gets an episode about family
Or how both the family episode and the computer episode start by having an entirely different teacher with an entirely different message
Or how red manages to escape to the real world twice and both times he ends up lost and confused
Or how duck dying becomes a thing
I really like when a show does that, it brings a sense of cohesion without the need of depth or lore
