If Blade or Alien(s) was made today using the same script and actors it would get review bombed.

of course it would, it doesnt have any stupid pandering and critics do not care about the actual movie

Whats there to prove? We already know its would get review bombed for certain reasons.
        >OMG look at this pozzed woke shit. Why would they make a movie about a black guy killing whites!!! One star for a black guy killing white people.
        >OMG look at this pozzed woke shit. Strong female survives alien that killed the crew with females, blacks and an android that represents gender neutrality because it has no penis or vegana. The alien is also black and killing white people. One star.

          >We already know
          No we don't.
Have you tried putting out a movie that is as well made as Alien/s with nonpozzed cast and nonwoke marketing?

          Anonymous

Stop shitposting troony. You know damn well that's not true. The only ones review bombing them would be "critics" and twitter users for not being woke. They'd review bomb it for blade not shouting blm and because ripley is fighting female xenomorphs instead of male ones.

Whenever we point out propaganda filled shit, blade and alien and terminator and so on are what we point to when we want to prove a point. Those movies don't have woke shit. They don't have identity or race politics. There's no sneaky israeli shit about race mixing.

They'd do extremely well today with the general audience and poorly with critics and mainstream media, like every fricking movie that's actually good instead of more fricking propaganda

And it would probably be justified because they would be vehicles for ideology first and foremost before telling actual good stories with compelling characters.

Blade was actually VERY redpilled by the late 90s standards. The ~~*vampires*~~ subsisted on blood, could only survive through parasitizing other people, ran the world from the shadows and owned the cops. I'm sure it was unintentional, but still based nonetheless.

But that's all standard for 90s vampires. V:tM was exactly that.

If this exact same unaltered movie came out today, you would call it political and screech about it.

  7. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

The problem isn't even the politics, it's that they can't write or make a movie for shit these days.
    I blame the writer's strike.
Just look at the new Candyman. It didn't fail because it was woke, that part was the only good part of the movie outside the puppet show. It failed because it's a shit movie and an extra shitty horror one.
Frick, they didn't even have a clear protag to carry the movie and have an arc, they just had 2 semi-characters share the spotlight with unexplored backstories and personalities.

      Anonymous

      >I blame the writer's strike.
I blame the fact that writers are some of the most underrated people in the industry, and yet so critically important. it's just that most people can't really tell the difference between good and bad writing.

        Anonymous

writer's strike showed soulless producers that most people, as you said, can't really tell the difference between good and bad writing and why writing matters at all.

Those examples are textbook crap /misc/ complains about, but "woke" for these guys also encompasses the mere presence of black people in anything but a slave role. There's no pleasing them.
