The reason is Superman IS Clark Kent anon. He doesn't don a mask like Batman to be able to work outside the law in a quest of revenge or like Green Arrow for the thrill and the adventure; his superhero persona is born out of a sense of responsibility towards his adoptive planet. Supes doesn't want the powers, he wants to live a peaceful life but tosses it aside when the world needs Superman because he feels that's the right thing to do.
It's the core aspect of the character, I don't know why so many people fail to grasp it.
Because Superman is an act based on what Clark feels sets the best example for others to follow, the real Clark is too humble and "human" for anybody to take notice of.
