It opportunity costs. If you use illegal means to use something that you otherwise would've had to pay for, then you are depriving the owner of the value you otherwise would've paid.

That's like saying counterfeit money isn't stealing since real money is still exist. But if everyone counterfeited no one's money would be worth anything.

That being said it's morally justifiable to steal from those who have stolen from you.

It's lighter, but more the UI is more obscured.
You need to learn (configurable) keyboard shortcuts to do things, there's no GUI menu.
If you dedicate some time to learn it and get used to it, it's more efficient, but it's not worth trying if you're just a filthy casual.

I still move it over the scanner, but either too high for the laser to read or with the barcode obscured in some way. Complete plausible deniability for the cameras or the guy watching if he decides to check that day.

But more to the point, self checkouts are implicit permission to steal. Stores decided that not having to pay a cashier still outweighs the loss of profit from increased theft. They'll add a human back into the equation when that stops being true.

    >pay and get an ok experience while youre always under the thumb of getting something removed
    >pirate and have it better for free and in higher quality
literally the same thing with video games where the pirated version is often better and buycucks get the shit end of the stick with drm that makes the user experience worse. and i think its one of the reasons that companies are doing the GaaS shit. Cant pirate it if its online only:^). I would be more willing to buy these things if they didnt actively tell me that they hate me and blame me for when they release a dogshit product. If i paid for every piece of media that i watched or interacted with i would have nothing in my house other than piles of shitty movies, games, and albums that i hate and a decent collection of things that i do like. Until the service is better than pirating, they arent getting my money because i have other more important shit to worry about and spend money on.
    >blah blah blah theft
every album that i have ever made i have uploaded torrents myself and post them on sites like getmetal and all of a sudden my shirt sales started going up while spotify is about to take away the little revenue that i do make off of streams making it literally the same as piracy although its through an authorized dealer. At the very least people who pirate get .flacs to listen too instead.

My late boomer/early gen x father used to torrent constantly. Nowadays he just uses my media server.

i pay $2 a month so i don't have to deal with torrent plebs and can download everything at full speed, encrypted. Usenet is far older than the www and will still around when it becomes a total walled garden nightmare.

do you use private usenet indexers? because otherwise your content is being taken down very often.

I pirated from 2002 until 2014 when streaming became faster. If i can find it on Kodi then im gonna just stream it. If i can't find it and i really wanna see it sure maybe I'll torrent. Why are you all so autistic about this

It's not my fault that you're a cheap skate that can't afford media.

    2.2.1 chad reporting

99% of people either don't know how to use torrents or they think it's "inconvenient". So they sit and just watch whatever the algorithm tells them to watch on whatever shitty streaming service they have. They end up missing out on so much good stuff because they're lazy and stupid.

I just don't understand why people pay for streaming services. I don't know why they go to Taylor Swift concerts either. Normies are fricked in the head.

I haven't paid for anything in 25 years. Thousands of movies, shows, music, books, games, programs, you name it. All my Operating Systems are pirated and the spyware is cut out. Must hava saved tens of thousands at this point.

Pic related is what I got plugged in right now, that's over 20TB. Got another 10 in external currently unplugged.
