So there's now two western movies? what the frick.
how long will it be?
wait, is this IGLOO 3?
It's like Final Fantasy The Spirits Within but gundam
That's genuinely a good thing. Japanese media is just so fricking embarrassing and creepy. The westernization of gundam can't come fast enough.
go back to being brown
I disagree with being offput by Japanisms, that weirdness is what gives anime its appeal.
But I do think it would be interesting to see how westerners handle Gundam. UNFORTUNATELY, I don't think the staff of this work will actually produce anything of note.
The only western filmmakers I'm aware of who I'd trust to handle Gundam are off doing their own stuff.
low quality bait
That's a horrifying thought and probably right on the money.
The Spirits Within honestly wasn't bad though. I watched it not to long ago and at worst it was just a generic sci-fi action flick that probably shouldn't have been named final fantasy.
But I don't remember anything about it that was outright offensively terrible.
I think the backlash to it though was due to the fact that FF had been releasing amazing stories in its games, and they had such imaginative fictional worlds.
So TSW being expected to deliver on that level of creativity and then being as plain as it was led to its underwhelming reception.
Why haven't we gotten a Spirits Within rep in a Dissidia yet?!
why is spiderman attending the conference
It's a canon event, don't ask questions.
frick off zoomer
Igloo 3 confirmed. What a timeline
What, so it's CGI? It's another westoid film?
They didn’t confirm if ova series or one shot. They kept switching between the 2 when talking about it
Requiem for vengeance is such a try hard name
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-07-01/gundam-requiem-for-vengeance-animation-project-announced/.199865
Erasmus Brosdau is directing the project, and Gavin Hignight (Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, Star Wars: Resistance) is writing. Actress Celia Massingham (DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Ladies in Black) voiced the lead character and performed the motion-capture for animation. Producer Naohiro Ogata (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt) is involved in the project.
Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura is the main character designer, and Kimitoshi Yamane (Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, multiple Gundam projects) is the mechanical design supervisor. Wilbert Roget II (Mortal Kombat 11, Call of Duty: WWII, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris) is composing the music.
Hignight confirmed the project's episodes are set in the Universal Century, and Brosdau added in a video message that the story is told from the Zeon perspective, particularly from the Zaku mobile suits' wienerpits. The trailer said the story is set "eleven months after the revolutionary war."
Hignight and Massingham personally appeared at the panel. (Ogata would have appeared at the panel, if it were not for (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury preparing to air its finale on Sunday.)
>Gavin Hignight (Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, Star Wars: Resistance) is writing
i'm probably the only person on this board that enjoyed star wars resistance, but even then it's hardly peak writing
>star wars resistance
>google whatever the frick this shit is
>every character doing the dreamworks face
america's fall can't come soon enough
desu, most star wars animation stuff looks a lot better, this was the odd one. I suspect they didn't had as much budget for sequel trilogy side content.
disney and hollywood will outlive America. There’s no escape
partly animated by Polygon, really the writing was the main issue with that series that and the general ST status quo
I don't know about the former two but man SW resistance was bland.
It wasn't even really bad, it was just really damn generic. Though I can't say if the writer was restricted by Disney or not
Tekken bloodline was so bad
>actress voicing lead character
We're never going to get a male gundam lead again *sigh*. Welp, time to join star wars in the grave!
Anon, GBM for later this year has a male lead. that cute little shota.
>build series
kys
Cry more
love yourself anon!
moron
she's not just the voice, she's actually the character. Did the motion capture work
Here's your Zeonic girl, anons.

>shaved
DROPPED
Isn't Erasmus Brosdau that guy who made the 40K Inquisitor short film?
>Erasmus Brosdau
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5172040/?ref_=nm_knf_t_1
Yep checks out
Yeah. If nothing else then this will probably look pretty atmospheric and the mechanical bits will be pretty cool
Wow the kind of guy who loves space marines loves zeon how shocking
What’s the issue with that?
's post is entirely "zeonwank" argument bait.
It’s more zeon dindu nuffin wank. No one dying in code fairy even shows they can’t even bother killing characters off anymore,
The frick, he worked on the two FMA live action movies? Also I remember this dude put the production of Lord Inquisitor on hold indefinitely to start his own animation studio, which sucked ass because the prologue was great. I can guarantee he's getting a better deal tham whatever the guy who made the Astartes short film is getting from GeeDubs.
yamane does good design work, i feel bad for him now.
>Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, Star Wars: Resistance
>(Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, Star Wars: Resistance) is writing. Actress Celia Massingham (DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Ladies in Black)
These are not resumes worth bragging about
The actress has a decent couple roles under her built, its the writer I'm worried about
Sounds really boring
>description sounds like more Zeonwank
>staff is Western
Wait a second, I thought glorifying even fictional Nazis is frowned upon these days, so how are they-
>The trailer said the story is set "eleven months after the revolutionary war."
Ah, so that's how they're whitewashing Zeon for the West now? They're being rebranded from Space Nazis to 'Space Revolutionaries'?
Zeon always were space revolutionaries? With space Lenin and space Stalin. Nazi symbolism is more to give them recognizable "evil guy" look.
You JUST know she will probably defect at the end. just like that star wars game
Is that any different to how we have a couple federation pilots defecting to zeon in some UC side work?
Its directed by a Warhammer 40k autist if anything we may be getting some prime zeek wank with this one.
So it’s basically a new IGLOO but western?
>ANOTHER ONE YEAR WAR SIDESTORY
That must have been the longest one year in history
Worse, the anime took place in September. Most of these sidestories are stuffed into the fricking last three months of the year
Its a zeon remnant story, which is just as fricking boring honestly
we havent had a gritty UC gundam show in like 10 years, ask me how i know your a build fighters baby
>we havent had a gritty UC gundam show in like 10 years
wouldn't Thunderbolt count as that though even if it is alt universe version of UC
Thunderbolt was really bad
quality was not specified in the post i was replaying to anon so it's a non factor
It won't top the kino that is IGLOO.
Also where the frick is Silver Phantom.
god, how does Igloo's MS combat animation completely mog Origin's? I'm not even talking about the quality of the models or whatever, it's just how it's made and directed that's so fricking good
>mog
moron.
I think Origin wanted things to have too much weight. IGLOO nails the over the top nature while also keeping things "machine-like". It's kept in it's artstyle even for the human model, where they looks realistic while also having some over the top moments.
Choerography is everything, it's a part of why 0079 for example has retained its charm for so long.
Rubbery with no sense of weight.
You are absolutely nostalgia-blind if you think IGLOO looks better than Origin
no homosexual to record the damn trailer? don't be a gundam movie situation like last year again dammit, when no one bothered to record the conceept arts in the VIP panel
lesbian of mercury was a mistake
seething it's OYW
cooming because it's basically IGLOO
I am going to hatefrick this show, aren't I?
I'm surprised this is western made. Is the Jordan movie taking too much time or what? This was supposed to be "THE" new western take on Gundam that would make us forget G-saviour frick you I liked G-saviour.
On the other hand, as a game developer, i'm curious to see UE5 for a full movie/OVA...
Where is the Seed movie trailer?
in hell, I hope
expect the bigger announcement in september with the Gundam conference.
Anyway where the frick is Silver Phantom
Silver phantom is a game. Similar to code fairy it is linked to gbo2. Will be announced in an hour
It wouldn't be copyrighted by Filmwork if it's a game, no?
frick me as a PC player if it's true
did Filmworks copyright Code Fairy?
I assume next in line for getting announced?
No idea about the schedule but I reckon it's at most in a few hours
Unless it's something of a completely different nature that's not planned to release yet and was just filed at the same time
I guess they meant to say "11 months after the START of the revolutionary war"
Is SEED just the Original series, Destiny, compilation films, astray, stargazer and evolve?
Or am I missing an entry
sequel movie coming out next year
they better release the damn trailer
>zeon focus during the oyw
Oh wow let me guess
FEDDIES BAD
ZEON GOOD
OH NO A GUND-and half the cast is dead
More blood sacrifices for the White Devil.
Here’s your western animated Gundam bro
It better have some test pilot kino again.
Oh god they better release the trailer soon (since they did had one in the expo) to not show that.
It's UE5 though so I doubt it
imma be honest if they recreate this with UE5 that would be pretty impressive
Is it? 4 had cell shading
Me on the center right
....why would the g-witch staff need to be in Japan when the finale airs? Stealth sequel announcement after the credits?
Could be like IBO, with the first teasers at the G-witch summer event and the gundam conference.
maybe because they live there
I wish it was a more original thing like Green Divers, but I like IGLOO too.
I wonder how the western team will handled the gundam action, since G-saviour still had the CGI done at Sunrise or at least directed there, no?
G Saviour CG was done by a western company if I recall
It was a mix of both if I remember right. Sunrise handled the direction of the scenes and might have helped a bit on the animation, but the assets were done in the west. it's why the MS looks a bit weird when not in movement (the company had no experience in mechanical design)
Sunrise were completely hands-off during production, they had given all their input up to that point.
>German director
>zeon focus
Of fricking course
Hey at least it won't go "zeon did nothing wrong" and perhaps will show a more mixed thing unlike IGLOO.
so OP, you recorded the trailer right? The picture is from a phone based on the filename.
Mocap studio used for the show
https://twitter.com/DEFCONZeroJP/status/1675273156528046080
https://twitter.com/safehouse_inc
https://twitter.com/DEFCONZeroEN
No ideas what they did before
The director of the show https://twitter.com/erasmus_brosdau
the guy who did some remade MGS trailer on UE
What the frick anon. You might be on something. Vogt Roberts (who also is making the Metal Gear movie) actually retweeted the guy for his Metal Gear animations.
Vogt Roberts might have being the guy telling Sunrise to work with him.
He did those animations
gotta say these are pretty damn solid
I just don't like how he gave Snake a generic action movie face
Wow, he looks just like me.
It's pretty telling when you compare what Konami did with Snake in the upcoming MGS delta, also using Unreal Engine. Eramus Snake looks like a generic action movie hero. It has none of the slight stylization.
It's very detailed and impressive. but it doesn't look like Snake. Just a weird cosplayer.
Hathaway 2 news when
September.
conference will be for the 45th anniversary of Gundam too so prepare for big shit there
praying to all gods I know it doesn't look like Origin

Former Blizzard worker? But not an OG, from the late 2010s...
frick I forgot the picture
>warcraft 3 reforged
urgh...Well the models were alright...
Don't expect anything sexualized here I guess
The artist has some pretty neat stuff, but also some bland stuff. More importantly, his neat stuff just isn't suited for 0079 at all.
The writer almost only worked on Cinemaphile shit. Any Cinemaphile anons to help? did he worked on good things?
Shit, this might even have a place on Cinemaphile considering the only japanese staff of the project is the mecha designer
Cyberverse wasn't too bad once you got past the first season IMO. Still a kid show though, more so than usual. The S4 episodes were great though; I really liked the Dinobot-centric episode and what they did with Swoop and co.
gen lock is absolute garbage and i heard bad things about tekken. this isn't looking good. im welling to bet the one OYW is gonna take a backseat after episode one and the rest is going to be about the bullshit emotion struggles of the MC.
>Genlock
Well…
>Genlock
Eh eh eh
AHAHAHAAHAHAHH
oh no no no no no no..this is gonna be a trash fire
1 episode of Genlock is too many what the frick
i like a lot of his art but he doesn't really seem like a good fit. though it's hard to say since so much of this is very different stylistically and in intent. seems much more focused on outfits and tech than faces & features, but the stuff for batman and gears isnt bad. probably be fine for the job if they want to tell a grimy war drama
guys I shakey cam recorded the panel where do I host the video? I probably have to compress it first though
https://streamable.com/
don't care, just announce the gunpla for me to consoom.
Bets on how woke this will be?
>gay protagonists
>token black guy
>pronouns
>trans character
>colored hair asian girl who is a mechanic or some stupid shit
>fat people (american pandering)
>gays
>browns
>non binary bullshit
>story about sticking it to the man (government or corpos)
Did they announce any games or what? Its been over an hour now?
Probably saving it for tomorrow, There’s Silver Phantom that needs to be announced
They did Love Live and its spinoffs, Gundam, The 100 Girlfriends show and like 1 or 2 other titles that the previous Bandai Namco Arts studio had under its umbrella before the re-org
The slippery slope was real, as usual. You were warned
I suspect this is more due to a recommandation of Jordan Vogt Roberts
Japanese project still will be made, no worries people
and worst case scenario it still will have kino MS designs
slippery slope is never a fallacy. Its just a lot shallower (i.e. it takes longer) than people realize.
>More Zeon Apologistganda
So, nobody, including OP, were clever enough to record the trailer? were all the people in the room moronic or what?
op here. it's an internet thing. Cinemaphile keeps blocking various file hosting site urls. I can't make a youtube without creating a gmail account which I don't have without providing a phone number, and the wifi at these anime cons are usually shit
Wetransfer link:
t-P6hNHGpoZG
OP's panel recording
Didn't OYW end in 0080? Why the frick do they keep saying 0079 and "11 months after it"?
The frick?
Yeah, by all rights this should be 0081.
11 months after the OYW would be November 0080.
However, they're being dumb, so it could be November 0079 which would be 11 months after the one week war with all the colony drop, nukes, etc.
they also can't say consistently it's a movie or it's a mini series
I'm going to be real here. I honestly think this is just them getting ready to do some videogame shit like leading into GBO3 or something. They keep talking about using Unreal 5 and it has the same classifications as the SD Heroes shit.
Gbo 3 definitely has to be in development
thanks anons
>Zeon focused
>Female lead
I’m gonna be very surprised if The Gundam whabreasts they’re facing isn’t gonna get totaled.
A zeon story not ending in a tragedy?
>Entire squad survives unscathed and returns home to side 3 after the war feeling pretty good about themselves.
It was really astounding that even the support staff made it home in one piece. It was a nice ride
>American Writer
>Hard b***h female protagonist by an American writer
Just fricking kill me already
I don't trust modern American writers with anything. Especially Gundam. ESPECIALLY anything with female leads. Don't care how trivial this side story is; they should have gotten an AI to write it instead.
>11 months since the OYW started
>Zeon petty officer Becca watches feddie news
>”Trans zeon soldiers getting executed. These women will never be real women, we must exterminate every one of them. Do not let Zeon win this war, or else they will indoctrinate you all”
>Becca slams her tendies onto the table, before taking her daily hormone pills.
>”Where’s Captain Miles? Put me on the frontlines now!”
You forgot to post the image.
And anons think G-Witch is bad and now western american written gundumb is happening probably with no leashes
Honestly just stop watching any Gundam made after 2001, it's bad now.
Looks a bit like a generic western movie/game sci-fi story... visuals do seem impressives at least.
>”Rebels prepare to drop”
This is going to be a dumpster fire.
Shame really cause from what is visible, it doesn’t look terrible.
I'm hearing 'Red Wolves', not rebels. Like that's her unit name.
08th ms team story after OYW ends
lol its gonna be garbage
>yet another OYW shit
Booooring.
>redditors complaining it's OYW UC
Biggest seal of quality.
So basically the international collaboration we never got back in the early 2000’s? Interesting
IS IT SERIOUSLY ANOTHER OYW ZEON REMNANT STORY?
BAMCO FILMWORKS YOU BRAINDEAD FRICKS
Pisses me off with how many stories they can tell from different eras
>Gryps War
>Neo Zeon
>CCA
>Oldsmobile
>Cosmo Babylonia
Yet they keep going back to 0079, it’s infuriating.
I'm fairly certain the 40kgay german director and american 08th ms team is most realistic Gundam writer pushed for this
Zeonwank set in the OYW again animated in a game engine in collaboration with Epic games some reason, you've really outdone yourselves this time Bandai
Any more stuff that's gonna be announced today?
This slop will look even worse than Ring of Gundam.
I found it interesting that there was a lot of people in the audience that raised their hand for "who likes Gundam Thunderbolt" but when they asked again for 08th MS Team it was like 10% of the people who raised their hands for Thunderbolt liked that one. I could tell the writer and Bandai people weren't expecting that difference
Damn that makes me sad, 08th MS Team is far and away better than Thunderbolt
Maybe there aren't as many Toonami kids in this particular audience?
I think its just a case of recency bias, AX tends to skew pretty mainstream with most peoples tastes
There was a lot of not teenagers in this audience so it had have been mostly Toonami kids.
that makes me feel ill to think about
Key Visual and PV
What’s she saying? Red Wolves? Someone before thought she said ‘rebels’ but it sounds different here
Definitely Red Wolves
Sounded like Red Wolf to me. Could be her squads name?
6 episodes 30 min each. Set at the European front of the OYW
That Gundam is weird. Putting aside the art style, it's like the EZ-8 had a baby with with one of those The Origin RX-78s with hardpoint weapons.
Man, that ugly half-shaved over-the-head swipe hairstyle of all the "Strong and tough" female woke again.
Just STFU about the Gundam/Zaku designs. Don't like it? Don't watch it. Not that hard.
>Karen haircut
What is she gonna demand to speak to general revil? Record the gundam during battle?
Does this gay think he's the voice of western Gundam fandom?
He's not.
I'd frick Delty, though. No homo
Why does this Delty homosexual seems to push his ass everywhere. He's almost a no-name.
twittertards hang onto their 15 minutes of fame like their lives depend on it despite the fact that said 15 minutes of fame ran out several years ago. I muted his annoying ass and report every shitty post of his I see.
i dont like the gundam
especially the legs
He looks like they took the RX-78 and Atlas Gundam'd him
A Zaku's head should never be proportioned like a human.
Zaku's head is too tiny but I like the Gundam
I can tell this is going to be one of those series where whether it's good or not people are going to twist them into pretzels to either love or hate every aspect of it for ideological reasons
Zaku looks alright
gundam looks way too generic, lost alot of its identity
i hope its a fun ride and keep itself more grounded like igloo.
Looks like straight ass. Trying to jam modern design conventions onto old designs like this never works, you end up in a middle ground that satisfies no one.
The entire run of OYW OVAs says otherwise
He's not wrong though, the further we move away from the original OYW material the more disparate it looks. We're not in the era of 90s OVAs anymore.
Yah the zaku looks pretty fine. Protag has SJW hair so probably going to suck. For the gundam, the things that stand out to me is the shoulder setup and the shield. For the shoulder setup, that's literally just a slightly better vulcan on the shoulder right? its not a beam weapon? And on the other side, 3 beam sabers? The shield looks like half a shield. Idk. I'm not optimistic.
>ugly westoid feminist MC
Nice. Gundam is finally getting a taste of what other franchises have to suffer through.
Wait a minute... that haircut...
The Zaku looks fine, not too much of a deviation from its classic design aside from the head. That Gundam is whatever, maybe a bit too white, but the shield can frick off
So this is… western Gundam.
I prefered what the leaf did before. And g-Saviour background elements and lore still was by sunrise.
This scream «California» not even the movie will be like that
IGLOO looked so much better
>those model proportions...
100% the concept art will be different than those. This has to be a G-saviour situation again.
interesting how the gundam has a lot of similarities with GP01. Not my favorite so far, the shield in particular looks weird, but the head is cool.
The Zaku looks great overall except for the head. Wish it wasn't holding the gun like this so we could see the waist proportions, here's hoping it's on the chunky side.
he looks cute, like the hair cut.
welp
its over
Bizarre mix of Ez8 and GP01. They should've just given it some modernized ground type shield instead of this gamer mouse looking abomination
Doan want his Zaku back
at the very least, it will be full mocaped this time around and there's some japanese staff helping on the animation.
It's the direction, designs and the writing that is wastern.
>European front of the OYW
can we get the real Yuri of Gundam now?!
The Gundam's oddly demonic looking, fits for this being from a Zeon perspective. Girl's design is nothing special honestly. I love the Zaku design though.
i think the heads are a little too small, and the gundam's head and shield are quite ugly, gundam's calves too with that protrusion, could've just made them a little wider and kept the smooth curves.
>the girl
eh, still would especially if she has daddy issues
"Requirem for Vengeance" sounds like a parody title on The Simpsons
How many of you are going to bet that the FeMC with her Zaku will totally trash a Gundam by herself?
going to bet she'll do that even without the zaku
>homosexuals are going to praise IGLOO now
frick this fandom
Don’t knock it, first three episodes are excellent. Granted it gets repetitive in Apocalypse and then goes totally off the rails with Gravity Front but hey, still about an hour and a half of great content there
I love Gravity Front for showing how people really goes apeshit with the war
>fandom
Go back moron.
wikicities/fandom/wikia was created in 2004, the same year /m/ was created. Deal with it homosexual.
frick off Black person igloo was better than anything post cca
I wonder how Zeonwanky this show is going to be
A series about heroic and honorable invaders with a cultish reverence for their great leaders (responsible for the deaths of half the human race) in Europe might not get taken well right now
It has a woke FeMC that is strong and independent. It is going to be fine
See what Star Wars did ? It will either be full muh regrets or she will defect to the EFF.
I mean any decent human being would have doubts after Operation British
Shut the frick up Earth Federation homosexual
Up yours zeek scum!
Why couldn't this just be 2D and made by Japanese people so the designs wouldn't be so fricking ugly?
They're busy with SEED and Hathaway.
It's Bandai Namco Filmworks' new way of doing things
Why do they need a fricking flowchart to say "we're gonna work with internal and external studios from now on"
Typical corporate nips obsession to visualize everything in presentations
Isn't that the case for all business propositions to acquire financial backing, regardless of country?
Data needs to be visualized. A concept such as we'll outsource the studios making our IP does not. Nips wants every 'concept' to be visualized, regardless of how simples it is that can be explained in a single sentence.
t. Blue collar slave.
Are you implying the japanese can't make ugly designs?
>Are you implying the japanese can't make ugly designs?
pic unrated?
imo the worst thing about atlas is the leg attachment, which you somehow exclude with that pic.
They know how to make cute girls at least
Bandai wants that ESG money.
They'll never top ZZ, though.
wtf is ESG
personally i think it only adds to the perfect storm of trashfire this project is shaping up to be. I can already tell i'll have a blast posting webm's of janky MS battles interspersed with the Western FemMC doing her WOMAN MOMENTS.
I hope we get a scene of the notGundam ace tearing through the Zeek mooks through the zeon POV like https://youtu.be/sUg3r9-sMYg?t=235 and thunderbolt
was just revealed : each episode will be 30 minutes long. it will be 6 episodes.
>thunderbolt and 08th MS team as influence
ARE THEY moronic? Why not IGLOO or even Evolve?
Americans
Something looks off.
they looks like nazis in a WW2 vidya
I doubt much it will be some Zeon wank.
>wh40k imperial guards
OH WE OH
WE OOOOOOH
OH WE OH
WE OOOOOOOH
>Animator is a 40k gay
already a redflag and those designs jesus Christ
The teaser video gave me redflags. The guy uses unreal and cant for the life of him animate faces properly still. The reason he even canceled his 40k movie wasnt becasue of Games Workshop he just got to much complaints on it,
The designs are very Warhammer gribble inspired too.
Its really minor stuff but it adds up. The Zakus Antenna its not a commander type and basically wouldn't it be very useless when minovsky particles get spread? The Gundams shoulder minigun is very tiny to the point why does it exist when the gundam already has head vulcans. Why does the gundams shield have openings?
It's not like those are early OYW era either, this is late OYW (if not slightly after?)
Unless we are following two rag tag groups in the European Front, it doesn't work much
Its very modern but you cant trace anything back. Its like the Pale Riders those typically get complaints of being too new looking but judging from the Rider line art you can trace where they came from mostly from the original gundam and GM Sniper 2 parts
Lol I bet it was originally going to be a 40k fan animation but it had to be repurposed after GW told everyone that fan animators are evil copyright thieves
maybe GW were right they didnt want this garbage near them
Is that why GW hired that guy who did that cgi Astartes fan film? Because GW's Hammer and Bolter series was utter trash in the animation department.
They did that very shortly before they announced Warhammer+.
Here's basically the timeline:
>Astartes is made and draws a lot of attention to Warhammer on YouTube
>Astartes guy gets hired, fans celebrate
>It gets announced shortly after that they were taking the animations off youtube, that they were launching a premium video service like that of Disney+ called Warhammer+, where you pay 15 bucks a month to watch animations
>As a bonus, you could no longer make fan animations/films anymore because that would compete with the animation quality they were offering (vid related)
Some people quit being fans and moved to competitors or 3D printing, others stayed and enjoyed the wealth of shit coming out, corpos gonna corpo
So why do we have to deal with Warhammer autists ruining Gundam
Because the company doesn't want fan animators, so those people moved to other franchises
Why the frick in W40K did those red tincans deploy to the battlefield in an iron box? Didn't they have a standard drop ship or teleporter?
teleportation in 40k turns you to paste half of the time
They do. But normally their M.O. is to arrive in orbit over the battlefield, identify key enemy strategic areas, fire off a few volleys of drop pods at enemy key command/control locations, allies who need help defending important areas, or places that would be good to set up more long term forward bases. As they fire the drop pods, they send out fighters and transports to bring in heavier equipment like tanks and artillery, and more battle brothers by the bulk load to drop them off where needed. Teleporters are for special cases, and to be used safely* need nearby elements to plant homing beacons, so you don't get teleported into the floor, or get The Fly'd into an alien horror and die.
The drop pods hit first, suddenly your comfy 14th defensive line with the local planetary governor (now Arch Duke of Dankness) is full of pissed off metal giants meat chunking everyone and breaking everything more complicated than a garden rake. By the time you start regrouping, aircraft start bombing you, and someone dropped off a fricking tank lance.
What the hell were the AA Gun and the air force doing when they fired off the drop pod right into the middle of the enemy formation? The drop pod was free-falling without any support or defense measure right, so they are sitting duck all the way from the orbit to when they touched down.
To be fair, the most exposure I have with W40k is the Daemonhunter game. The Space Marine in that game can just teleport their kill squad in and out of the battlefield like it was nothing. They even have a guy that capitalized on mass teleport and teleport strike. And IIRC, The Bigger suit was built with teleport inside the suit?
Like 1 in 10 pods probably get blasted on a drop. But because everything in 40k is silly, they accelerate after the re-entry phase to near 12,000km an hour and burn retro rockets shortly before impact, decelerating it just enough that the shock absorbing harnesses and power armor can together, keep the marines alive and uninjured(mostly). If a normal human was inside they'd be liquefied. Don't think too critically of it, or you're gonna have a bad time.
Also if it's the Chaos Gate one, those are Grey Knights. They're basically the anti-demon CIA of the imperial side. They have to on average better teleportation tech than most other space marine or imperials groups. It's kind of needed for their ends because they need to minimize exposure to the warp as much as possible, which is harder to do when your transport ships keep becoming possessed by Sphongktarh The Ass That Shits and it floods your mothership with sentient flesh eating diarrhea after it docks.
>Don't think too critically of it, or you're gonna have a bad time.
I guess for the rule of cool it was going to get accepted. I would think if you see a whole battalion of drop pods come down from the orbit unguarded, it would get squashed by anti-air or even if they landed, would get saturated with artillery.
>They have to on average better teleportation tech than most other space marine or imperials groups.
So they are some kind of private army for the Inquisitor which is the CIA equivalent of 40K. Because of that, they got the first dip on the best weapon and tech available?
>which is harder to do when your transport ships keep becoming possessed by Sphongktarh The Ass That Shits and it floods your mothership with sentient flesh eating diarrhea after it docks.
This echo exactly what I thought about those bloated fatass Plague Marine. How come my guy in air-tight Armored got sprayed with gree goos and get sick from it? What is the point of air tight if stepping on green goo makes you go sick?
The third one is because Nurgle worshippers don't just spread Super-Cancer-EbolAIDS, they spread a version if it enhanced by warp frickery. Also it's one of this things where the crunch doesn't match the fluff.
>Also it's one of this things where the crunch doesn't match the fluff.
Ignore this. This is more appropriate if one of your Grey Knights dies to a traitor Guardsman with an autogun.
drop pods are really fast and really small
think starship troopers (novel) but more in the future
they are used specifically because bits a lot harder to shoot down than a dropship
terminator armor has built in teleporter homer and it makes it easier and more accurate to teleport, there are also beacons that make it easier but I don't remember how they work
basically big armor has additional tech that makes it less scary to teleport but big armor is very rare
The teleport burst scorches and jolts every molecule of their bodies.
It is an intensely risky operation. A considerable nearspace distance. A vast energy expenditure. Mass transfer – an entire armoured kill squad. A comparatively small target zone.
Thiel loathes teleports. It feels like you’re being pushed through the mesh of an electrified sieve. There is always a bang like a fusion bomb in your brain. There is always an aftertaste like bile and burned paper left in your mouth.
They materialise.
He stumbles, his balance screwed for a second. He’s on a deck. He hears a scream.
Given the risk factor and the atrocious error margins, the teleport can be considered a success. Forty-six of the squad have appeared with Guilliman on the transverse assembly deck of Zetsun Verid Yard. They have lost four.
Two of them are fused into the bulkhead wall behind them, parts of their visors and gauntlets and knees protruding seamlessly from the grey adamantium. Another has been reduced to a glistening red sludge by re-formation failure. He is spread over a wide area.
A fourth, Brother Verkus, has materialised bonded into the deck plates from the waist down. He is the one screaming. It’s not as though he can be pulled out. He is the deck now, and the deck is him.
It is troubling to hear a legionary scream with such a lack of restraint, but they say teleportation overlap is the most unimaginable pain.
Guilliman cradles his head and kills him quickly to end his suffering.
>Astartes guy gets hired, fans celebrate
what is this revisionism? everyone was upset that well never ever see Astartes 2. and we haven't seen anything from the guy yet at all.
everyone was also mad at gw for banning every fanwork imaginable.
also they took down the original astartes and put up their ruined version of it with fricked sound effects. everyone shat on this.
Nah there was a couple month long window where more naïve members of the community were genuinely hopeful that hiring the astartes guy was the start of GW turning things around. The hiring was announced in like march of 2021, and the revision to GW's fan works policy was done later in the summer like July or August iirc. So there WAS like 4ish months of hope. But you know GW, pic rel.
I wonder if the Syama Pedersons pissed seeing someone like Brosdau who straight up b***hed out of finishing Lord Inquisitor get to direct a production for a other big franchise. It seems like he's being give a lot of creative freedom with RoV, meanwhile knowing GW they probably have him on a very short leash for Astartes 2. Then again, one of his homebrew chapters is officially canon now, so I'm sure that's something he's really happy about. Where are my fricking Retributors minis GW?
I don't have ill will against Brosdau obviously, Lord Inquisitor impressed enough people for him to get noticed in the industry and he even got to work on an animated spinoff for a Netflix show. But I just hate the way he treats the project that made him you know?
>what is this revisionism?
There is none. There was a very brief time period where that was true. Literally everyone had shouted "GW, HIRE THIS MAN!!!" for years and then it happened.
>everyone was upset that well never ever see Astartes 2. and we haven't seen anything from the guy yet at all.
Yeah, that's with what you know NOW. not literally at the time of the announcement, the dude seemed actively working and we had just gotten hints of season 2 through a leak.
>everyone was also mad at gw for banning every fanwork imaginable.
That happened about a week or month AFTER the announcement of the astartes guy being hired. That's why there was a brief celebratory period. That was also covered in the post you're replying to, so did your brain break and refuse to read anything past something you didn't remember?
>also they took down the original astartes and put up their ruined version of it with fricked sound effects. everyone shat on this.
Some people did shit on this, and I'll admit those who did probably weren't as naive as those who celebrated since that was a warning sign that they didn't want fan stuff on YouTube and that they'd meddle with projects. But most people at the time were just happy to see a fan elevated to official status, and for a moment it looked like anyone who worked hard enough could do the same, until the ladder was pulled up
not me, I knew this shit was going to happen instantly and the guy would end up in the plastic mines for life
the whole failure with warhammer+ was predictable a mile away too. they just didn't want people making passion projects infinitely better than their billion dollar conglomerate could shit out
like holy frick its the same company that can't fix their fricking logo being misaligned for years, seriously holy frick.
I knew all of this happen and I'm still mad at the people that didn't shit on gw hard enough for it
What kind of name is Ilya Solari
and why are the renders so low res?
>american production
>dyke buzzcut
Every single time.
there's a few japanese ones too but it's mostly western

I actually like this haircut and i'm sad it got wasted by some people...
I don't mind it but it's so overused, like giving an afro to a black character for no reason.
It's made by a super serial 40kgay, nothing remotely beautiful is allowed by them. Only dykes with buzzcuts and crackhead grandma's are allowed.
FACE ME, GUNDAM
director interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPki-9qHz7s&t
The zaku looks like a really shitty 40k mod which makes sense.
Hard pass.
Whatever happened to UC Next 100?
wait for september for the big 45th anniversary announcements.
I assume Requiem will release this year.
Whats with the 40k hate here? Whats the issue with the guy like warhammer and directing gundam?
there's nothing wrong with 40k, it's the people who like it that are the problem
>Screenshots for some odd reason depict Zeon Ground Forces like 40k Imperial Guard marching with fricking banner holders
>Zeon focused
>Calling Zeon Rebels leading a "revolutionary war"
>marketing it for people who love GRITTY and SERIOUS war
>Designs are very 40k inspired lots of gribbles and very dirty looking.
>40k fans already have an issue where people larp a little to hard
it for people who love GRITTY and SERIOUS war
are very 40k inspired lots of gribbles and very dirty looking.
wasn't this also IGLOO? I mean that's why IGLOO 2 even is pretty disliked these dayss, a lot of people thought it was too over the top.
I think you guys are overreacting a little the guy simply likes Warhammer and its american writers they wont make zeon propaganda.
see
and say that again
Look I dont hate Warhammer in fact I love it. However, I dont like warhammer in my gundam.
This is genuinely awful
I can't believe they've done this
the zaku boot up scene was extremely kino, you cant deny that
Not only will I deny it, I will go one step further and call you a shill. Earning those overtime sheckles today, shill?
it doesn't. Hell, it doesn't look at all like the interior of a Zaku...
I just want the soundtrack to be kino like Igloo's.
>kino
Frick off tourist.
When are we gonna get the Advance of Zeta OVA?
When the gunpla sales become more profitable
AoZ model kits sell like hotcakes. The problem is, shit is P-Bandai for the most part so you can't see them much on places like HLJ or whatever you use to buy your gunpla.
>he doesn't know about how AoZ and F90 are literal plastic gold for P-Bandai
F90 and AoZ kits probably sell more than the majority of gunpla given how often they reissue on P-Bandai.
The real reason they'll never do AoZ is that it basically doesn't have a real story they can use so they'd have to rewrite everything from scratch.
I mean, AoZ side stories and Re-boot can be adapted just fine.
It isn't like they need enough material for 4 cours worth anymore, what's stopping them from a 13 or 26 episode adaptation of whatever the frick happens in the first manga and photonovel?
If it'
>F90 and AoZ kits probably sell more than the majority of gunpla given how often they reissue on P-Bandai.
No they don't. The point of P-Bandai is to make as close to 100% profit because they don't need to sell wholesale to retailers. P-Bandai have lower sales exchange for higher profit per sale in a short period of time (because you pay immediately to Bandai even if the item ships 6 months later). They're able to make this work through pre-order and artificial scarcity hype. If these were just sold as regular products, most of them would be shelf warmers for retailers.
ass to ass?
What's Silver Phantom going to be?
>eleven months after the revolutionary war
I get that zeonwank sells toys, but come one
