Actually that’d be pretty interesting if she existed alongside Dr. Manhattan.

Oh we’re fully capable, it’s just that those guys rarely catch on.
For example here’s Bronze Bear as a Honey Bee side character. He’s a cool though enthusiastic action hero, with a backstory of being a fanboy turned real thing. yet people don’t focus much on him
He just looks like a Sentai weirdo
And even then he exists only as a supporting character of HB, no? Just a side guy. He doesn't have his own enemies or his or his own plot.
Mostly because we didn’t focus on him but yeah, that’s a problem. And it primarily exists because Cinemaphile doesn’t focus much on action hero aus.
Like if I suggested a Carol Danvers reversal as an Ultraman style alien hiding in plain sight named Captain Void with darkness based powers and an inhuman form only barely hidden by his human disguise, I doubt anyone would care

I'm not disagreeing with you, I think, but I am curious.

Well I’m not entirely sure but I have a couple theories
Armsmaster, Hero, Dauntless, and Contessa are four pieces of Batman
Piggot and Doctor Mother make up Amanda Waller
The Case 53s and Alexandria both make up interpretations of Ben Grimm as well as the Irregulars being a darker take on the X-Men
I see a bit of Green Goblin divided between Kaiser, and Accord
Lung, Cryptid, and Crawler together make up the Hulk
Jack Slash and Circus are the Joker divided with Circus also having some similarities
Wildbow admitted that Rune was originally a hero inspired by Doctor Strange, and I think most of her stuff went to Myrddin
Hookwolf and Alabaster are two halves of Wolverine’s powers
Shadow Stalker is pretty much Kitty Pryde with the Punisher’s ideology right down to electrical interference
Parts of Tattletale seem based on Nancy Drew
The Siberian is one for both Wonder Woman and her creator, and my personal theory is that Manton’s daughter was a genuinely heroic person named Diana and her death is what truly sent Earth Bet down the toilet
Some people say Nilbog is based on the troll movies
Dragon is Ultron but good
Narwhal and Imp have interpolations of Sue Storm’s powers
The Dallons all seem to be fusions of the F4 and Superfamily but gone wrong, with Amy and her father being both Reed and Doom due to their ability to stretch DNA
Two Years ago, to the day, actually. As per the wiki: >The idea first spawned in a rule 63 thread on October 29th, 2021, and the first thread was made a few days later on November 1st, 2021.
So today is technically Honey-Bee's second birthday!
I think it might be fun to do the reverse of some classic storylines.
Like a reverse Black Suit where Honey-Bee goes goth entirely on her own due to personal problems and develops insomnia, only snapping out of it with the arrival of the alien
Or instead of lifting something heavy, create a storyline requiring her to burrow somewhere
I wasn't suggesting more ideas for Honey-Bee (although they are appreciated), I was moreso asking for more broader ideas to play around with unrelated to Honey-Bee (and I guess the Mime and Butterfly).

Oh, well in that case I have a couple, to suggest.
Firstly, there’s the possibility we could take the X-Men and reverse the morals, powers and sides. Having the mutants not be natural beings but rather abominations created by a bomb similar to Infamous with two different sides. Reverse Charles believing they should embrace being monsters, while reverse Magneto thinks they should strive for better.
Beyond that there’s also the opposite Doctor Manhattan. Or we could do the opposite of the Flash, with a hero who’s power is slowing down everyone else

Yeah, for a while we had a pretty neat drawfriend showing up. I enjoyed it regularly honestly.

In a world where capes are more common than coffee cups and crime-fighting is a peculiar pastime, emerges a team of unlikely superheroes who are about to redefine what it means to save the day. Welcome to the uproarious universe of "The Dynamo League" – a quirky bunch of crime-fighting enthusiasts armed with their brave hearts and freelance hero license
The team consists of :
>Marmot-man (Joe Filbert):
The team leader,a former park ranger, became a superhero after he felt responsible after the death of a couple of deer died by a hunter
>She-Beaver ( Willow Filbert):
an anthropomorphic beaver teen girl who was found and adopted By Marmot-man, she's very shy and very nerdy
>Captain Under-Socks (Oliver Rollen):
a salesman who can turn any sock into a parachute (and yes, he wears them over his pants) a confident and energetic guy
>Imp-lad (Hel Inger) ≠:
a goth boy with a jinx and bad karma powers,he tries to act tough and that he doesn't care but fails everytime
>Dr. Invisi-Bling (Karla Antuna):
a college professor who can make things invisible… but only if they're shiny. With her sidekick, Sock Puppet Steve, they're ready to embark on their most peculiar escapades yet.
>Wonder-Coyote(Liza):
a Woman Warrior and part of the Sisterhood of the Canine who can transform into a feral Coyote and an anthropomorphic super Coyote
not really they are like a small-scale superhero team who fights small crimes and helps citizens in their hometown (Trunktown) think "Great Lakes Avengers" but that doesn't mean that they don't face huge threats
ngl started this in the /coc/ thread as a joke but continued it for serval weeks and the story Changed and reached a new plots and arc kek
I don't understand this "wholesome bondage" thing going on between Toxic and Honey-Bee, especially considering the timeline of when things are supposed to happen: >In the beginning Toxic is just a Screwball-esque streamer/influencer who'd do crazy thing for views, like holding up a bank, or causing chaos, or kidnapping/harassing the Daily Bugle's newest mascot for likes >Then, she's revealed to be Dr. Doom's estranged daughter, and is whisked away to Latveria to learn discipline and manners befitting of the Daughter of Doom >Petra feels sorry for Toxic, so she sends over a communicator that can bypass whatever Latverian firewall so Toxic can have access to the outside world, which is why Toxic develops an unrequited crush on Honey-Bee
When Toxic leaves Latveria, it'd make sense that she'd be more clingy towards Petra, I don't think it would devolve to her kidnapping her only friend to tie her up and molest her, because that is a good way to have said "friend" not want to be around you any more
I think it’s a classic case of people misunderstanding the original concept and then escaping it immensely.
Original the concept wasn’t so much Toxic doing that kind of stuff and was more so kidnapping/capture. Especially Jeanne wants to hang out with Petra but she doesn’t know how, so she just grabs her and takes her back home.
Originally it was just supposed to be a few times where Toxic would net/tie up the bee, then take her to a seemingly ominous location before asking her if she wants to hang out. It was endearing as it showcased a bit of social incompetence from Toxic, where she wasn’t sure how to ask how to hang out and eventually it would die down as Petra would show her that she can just ask her without the kidnapping.
Then after that things would be normal, with the only other kidnapping coming when Jeanne’s anxiety once again leads to stupidity when she wants to ask Petra out on a date
Honestly, I think people saw "Toxic develops a crush on Honey-Bee" and ran with it, without considering Toxic's scenario at the time (held captive with little contact with the outside world, in addition to having warped ideas of personal relationships, due to being terminally online). I feel like, once Toxic starts hanging out more with Petra and the Frenemies, her puppy crush would naturally diminish, especially if Petra forces Toxic into therapy with Miss Positive
That’s true in some ways, but I like the idea of it growing somewhat, though I’d prefer it stay under control.
There’s just something so endearing about Toxic firmly believing in the possibility of a true fairy tale relationship
I would like to add that while Toxic is perhaps the most proactive member of the frenemies and encourages others to do shit, she was also the last to join the group because she was kind of a self-centered c**t during everyone’s early days.
Also would therapist Miss Positive lead to Toxic and Miss Negative shenanigans? Like Jeanne goes to her weekly therapy session Petra (and probably the court) forces her to take, she opens the door to the office and surprise! Miss Negative is there instead ready to cause mayhem.
>Jeanne goes in for mandated therapy >finds Miss Negative there instead, holding her files >she immediately launches into tearing apart ever insecurity that Jeanne has to feed on her misery, making Jeanne worthless and reducing her to the verge of tears >Jeanne can’t handle it and walks out >eventually can’t take it anymore and breaks down crying >Honey-Bee sees her and flies down to comfort the distraught villain >Jeanne immediately latches into Honey-Bee and starts sobbing into her costume, to which Petra just flies over to a nearby building and holds her there, letting her cry it out >as she’s sobbing and muffled by the costume, Jeanne says those three magic words to Petra, though they go unheard >”I love you”
I think it might be fun to do the reverse of some classic storylines.
Like a reverse Black Suit where Honey-Bee goes goth entirely on her own due to personal problems and develops insomnia, only snapping out of it with the arrival of the alien
Or instead of lifting something heavy, create a storyline requiring her to burrow somewhere
Probably someone super into magic the same way Ozy looked into science. Someone who’s more fame than ability with people willing to enact her plan for her
So what would her plan be? The same as Ozymandias? Or would she try and bring together the superpowers in a different way?
>Meek military secretary >Walks into the particle accelerator thingy and gets Manhattan'd >She still has the massive powers, quantum nature and all that jazz >EXCEPT she keeps her personality and immediatly freaks out upon reforming, trying to cover herself as she materialized stark naked in the middle of a military installation >Unlike Manhattan, she's emotional and upbeat, legit trying to find a way to stop humanity from self-destructing but not on a violent way >And yeah, the first thing she does is cover herself; usually employing her powers to create all sorts of trendy clothing almost like a Barbie doll >The government goes breasts up, because they want to turn her into a weapon but are extremely worried because she's super emotional and absent-minded, and she isn't attracted to the idea of destroying the soviets >tl;dr, a ditzy southern girl becomes an omnipotent being in the edge of a nuclear war
>at the end of her story, Janet decides she’s tried of being treated as a god and assumed a fake identity, going back to her old life
What if her plan was originally to use her feminine charms (and magic) to seduce all the heads of state and try and coerce them to cooperate with each other, only for everything to start falling apart and her resorting to summoning a giant magic squid or something?
You know, wanna know what would be interesting for a female Ozy? (Still can’t think of a good name)
If she was incredibly dumb but still believed herself to be the smartest/strongest entirely due to her magic. Like she thinks of herself as this grand master manipulator, but in reality she just uses mind control to cheat at everything in life
well since we're doing opposites, i think the solution she'd go for is decapitation strikes on every major government in order to remove the people who she sees as causing the global tensions in the first place. After that, i'm not really sure. maybe she tries to hold the world hostage by stealing a bunch of nuclear weapons or kidnapping dr. Manhattan, forcing everyone to get along with each other or else face annihilation at her hands. Maybe she tries to be subtle and maneuver some peaceniks into the right places beforehand, so that when the smoke clears they're all focused on keeping things from deteriorating further rather than getting revenge on whoever caused the destruction in the first place. Maybe she just straight-up invades everyone and try to rule it all as some kind of philosopher-queen since she's convinced she's the only person who could lead mankind into the future. idk, just spit-balling here.
I kind of like the idea that was pitched where she uses magic or mind control, where she think she's doing some kind of 4D chess but really she's just mind controlling the heads of state to cooperate, but accidentally turning herself into a dictator
Not necessarily. I think it'd be interesting if it were just a psyche change, too. So instead of being a hard boiled conspiracy theorist, reverse Rorscach would be some bleeding heart liberal or something?
You know, wanna know what would be interesting for a female Ozy? (Still can’t think of a good name)

maybe just call her Adrianna, for now? But yeah, she think she's being some 4D chess playing manipulator, but really being something far more sinister would be more in line with being the reverse of regular Adrian (i.e. doing something sinister with the intention of something altruistic)
Maybe as a compromise some of them have powers and others don’t just to make the reverses have a bit of variety.
For example Adrianna having maybe mild psychic abilities while reverse Rorschach has none. Also what if reverse Rorschach has a facial scar covered by the mask. It isn’t too bad, but she refuses to allow anyone to see it
>Reverse Rorschach is obsessed with public identity, everyone must know who she is >Grew up in a loving family, never experienced hardships and is super idealistic >Has a disdain for classic Americana and wants the world to move forward into an era of peace, ergo she's an idealist with a very liberal mindset and a somewhat fantastic view on justice >Hates violence, but she's ruthless and exposes her victims via extensive research in a way that even law agencies are baffled by her uncanny detective skills >Unlike Rorschach, she's incapable of being silent
I'm thinking somewhere between Nancy Drew and the Mistress of Mystery from Fallout.

If these reversed exist in the same universe as the regular Watchmen characters it might be really cool to see them face off against the main ones in rivalries
I wouldn't take it personally. I've been a regular of the Honey-Bee threads from the very beginning, and I've had ideas rebuffed by the others time and time again. Sometimes people just aren't feeling a particular idea, and sometimes one idea just appeals more to some anons more than others. Although I guess if you want to do the "Soviet counterpart to Dr. Manhattan", it is a good jumping off point.. The question then is, where does the story go from there? Does the Cold War get even colder, with each Dr. Manhattan and Tsarina becoming effective replacements for nukes, and other superpowers rushing to make/claim their own? Or does Dr. Manhattan and Tsarina just frick off into space to leave Earth to their own devices?
Given she causes the USSR to collapse in response to being censored, I'd imagine she'd take over and use her powers to remake the Russian Empire, even if that means uniting the globe under Russian rule
I guess it'd depend on when Tsarina was requisitioned by the Russians, Pre-revolution, or during the Cold War. Because if she was found/brainwashed/educated during the Cold War, I could see it more like Red Son, where she takes control of the USSR by force after realizing that Stalin and the others were lying to her

I said "space-time" as in the threat she creates is cosmic and metaphysical in nature. There's the possibility that she can erase him on a metaphysical level or sent to a lower dimension. She's lived under state-enforced nihilism, so imagine how she'd feel towards seeing what she considers "Nihilism given sentient form"
Watchmen is a very specifically crafted story with specifically written characters.
Making elseworld slop like the shit above fundamentally doesn't work.
Watchmen is in of itself a fiction inspired by the characters of Charlton Comics, who were in themselves inspired by other figures. This is merely yet another expression of the initial idea

I made some AI slop of the butterfly with varying levels of quality, this one looks nice enough not too generic and a little batman esque.
I like it. Only thing I’d add is a little mask and a thing about how she built her own fortune.
Should she have an Alfred equivalent?
What would the opposite of Alfred be like? a young maid who doesn't actually work?
Probably yeah. Young, clumsy, dumb, likes knives, and completely incapable of understanding sarcasm in any way.
Just so this doesn’t fall apart though, I’m going to say that Butterfly keeps her around because they grew up together and are practically sisters
Ok, what about the villains, it would be weird having a single villain in the city and a bunch of inept cops.
Technically we can look to the Batfamily and other affiliated heroes for that.
Heck if you stretch it out to be TAS characters you could have a Zatanna inspired science villain

That’d be an interesting idea. A government program went wrong and ripped a higher being down to our world and now she only has limited access to her immortal form
Almost like the god equivalent of a broken leg
Her name would make it fitting if it was a result of a botched Soviet experiment
Actually that’d be pretty interesting if she existed alongside Dr. Manhattan.
The Soviets get desperate for their own response to America’s walking H-Bomb and pluck an Angel from space
>Meek military secretary
>Walks into the particle accelerator thingy and gets Manhattan'd
>She still has the massive powers, quantum nature and all that jazz
>EXCEPT she keeps her personality and immediatly freaks out upon reforming, trying to cover herself as she materialized stark naked in the middle of a military installation
>Unlike Manhattan, she's emotional and upbeat, legit trying to find a way to stop humanity from self-destructing but not on a violent way
>And yeah, the first thing she does is cover herself; usually employing her powers to create all sorts of trendy clothing almost like a Barbie doll
>The government goes breasts up, because they want to turn her into a weapon but are extremely worried because she's super emotional and absent-minded, and she isn't attracted to the idea of destroying the soviets
>tl;dr, a ditzy southern girl becomes an omnipotent being in the edge of a nuclear war
>at the end of her story, Janet decides she’s tried of being treated as a god and assumed a fake identity, going back to her old life
What universe did you come from where the Cold War of the 50s-80s was between Union and Confederacy?
I love Petra!
Cute!
Honey-Bee is at her cutest when she's defeated, trussed up, and embarrassed
Part of me wonders why Doe never gets the same sentiment
Just personal preference I'm pretty sure you can tell all that about all other gals
That’s fair. I just noticed that aside from her being super strong and indestructible a ditzy and sheltered heiress is the perfect damsel in distress
You aren’t the only one
Holy god dayum! That’s an amazing bee and frog delivery!
Girls are meant to grope girls...for my entertainment!
It kinda surprises me how people forget that Toxic is primarily motivated by a desire for wholesome love but doesn’t know how to express it
She needs to be forcibly unmasked on twitch
She's not for ryona bro
Agreed. I think as a rule, whenever blood is drawn the fun is over and the danger begins
I see nothing wrong with this as long as her captor is gentle while making her repeatedly cum.
Is that not a description of Toxic?
Exactly my point.
Are you suggesting Toxic is pure
Pure and very possibly a socially awkward frog.
Definitely socially awkward
Someone should get her a handler. Cuz frogs sitting atop her head ain't teaching her how to romance a bee. Just how to eat bees.
Don’t worry, she has a wonderful influence that she’s recently gained. Someone sure to tell her exactly how to do romance DOOM!
kek Yeah she's doomed. Then again maybe the frog is an improvement.
If you think that's bad, you should see her roommates back in NYC!
No wonder why things got weird.
Doom just told her how he acted with Sue and pretended it worked
I almost feel bad for Petra, if it wasn't so funny.
>Toxic asks Doom about romance the same way most daughters ask their parents
>he shows her this picture
I don't think things will work out for her.
The worst part is that he used Sue Storm as an example and she was actually a bit into Namor, so Toxic will get absolutely the wrong vibes
>”what am I doing wrong? Is it because I’m not wearing a swimsuit?”
She's an endearing frickup, but Petra will have to kick her butt. She's never going to learn otherwise.
What she really needs is a nice sit down or date with Petra to showcase the proper way to treat people
That or talking to Uncle Ben
>Petra gets annoyed with Toxic. Decides to teach her a lesson by capturing her for a change
>instead of being upset, Jeanne goes along with it and loves the experience, assuming this is his affection works
>the bee is annoyed
Well that backfired.
Dummy drooling frog.
She is a dummy, but one who requires a certain someone to be complete
Without Petra to ground her, Toxic would just be some streamer villain forever
Plus, Petra is the only girl her father approves of
>tfw the entire “thing” Toxic has going on with Petra is entirely the result of Victor and Quinn’s bad advice
She wants love but doesn’t know how to get it
Why are Cinemaphile AU OCs always fetishbait hot chicks
Are you unable to just make a cool male hero or something
>Like if I suggested a Carol Danvers reversal as an Ultraman style alien hiding in plain sight named Captain Void with darkness based powers and an inhuman form only barely hidden by his human disguise, I doubt anyone would care
Well yeah because that sounds boring as frick
This whole "AU" is just a thinly veiled excuse for making new yuri pairings.
Go to /coc/ if you want something with actual substance.
>yuri pairings
There is only a single yuri pairing
And at least two straight pairings in the au
>g-gee, what female villain will Petra get captured by this time around, h-haha
You're not fooling anyone, homosexual.
I know this thread only got made to keep the ball rolling from that bondage one.
You can be mean all you want, but that doesn’t change the fact that I tried to engage in the worldbuilding of Butterfly and nobody took up my offer.
I started this thread because I remembered Honey-Bee and I missed the creativity. And if it were up to me we would be writing about J Jonah Jameson and Petra interacting like here
>mean
Are you twelve?
I'm mad because this is exact same shit every time and people here still want to insist that there's something more to this than lesbian bait. Like this isn't the only thing that people remember this AU for or the only thing that even keeps people interested at this point.
Get off your fricking high horse
>twelve
Nope, just polite enough to know that not everything must be a slur
>muh slur
The absolute state of honeykeks.
Cool mspaint scribbles.
Not quite fridge-worthy, I'm afraid.
Go back to jerking off over underage girls, GoldenGirl gay
>I came into a thread about a topic I don't like and now I'm mad
>How could this have happened to me?
>/coc/
>Actual substance
/coc/ is a dead board with even shittier ideas.
>board
Don't feed the trolls, dude. Even if there are far more straight ships than gay ships in the Bee-verse
True, regardless some ships are fun
Crackdown was made recently (this year).
He's not from an AU though.
Check out Stargazer thread
The design is so good, is there a singular artist that can be credited it or was this the product of many refinements by Cinemaphilemrades?
Here’s the first picture ever made of HB
Second
Third by another Anon
After this the design slowly morphed into the one you posted
Looks like a dollar store Skitter.
Makes sense given Skitter is a bit based on Spider-Man
It all comes full circle then.
It always felt to me like Worm sometimes had a tendency to take existing superheroes and divide them into three pieces.
For Spider-Man those three pieces were Skitter, Clockblocker, and Kid Win
Besides superman and Spider-man what other examples can you think of?
And then the cycle begins again
Make a Honey Bee comic already, patreon it up for shekels if you have to for motivation
Which year did this appear?
2020 if I remember correctly
Two Years ago, to the day, actually. As per the wiki:
>The idea first spawned in a rule 63 thread on October 29th, 2021, and the first thread was made a few days later on November 1st, 2021.
So today is technically Honey-Bee's second birthday!
Wow that’s awesome. Actually really cool
Could we maybe have a black Swan Detective Noir story where Petra temporarily becomes Honey-Bee noir to solve it
I wasn't suggesting more ideas for Honey-Bee (although they are appreciated), I was moreso asking for more broader ideas to play around with unrelated to Honey-Bee (and I guess the Mime and Butterfly).
>X Men
Would that make the opposite of Mister Sinister a benevolent powerless woman who creates a sanctuary for mutants out of simple kindness and thinking that they’re cool
>we could do the opposite of the Flash, with a hero who’s power is slowing down everyone else
Fundamentally, what's the difference between speeding yourself up and slowing everyone else down?
What would the rogues be? Captain Cold would obviously have fire powers, but what about the Trickster? Or Captain Boomerang?
I can’t figure out the others but I feel I feel like they’d be Sergeant Heat and Sergeant Arrow
It's kind of like The World in Jojo. It still functions like Super Speed.
If that's the case, we should give opposite Flash a different powerset, that would kind of be like slowing everyone else down, but actually be functionally different from moving faster relative to someone else? Like maybe creating localized gravity wells that draw people in and increases their weight, while he's immune?
Depending on the range of the slow aura or whatever you want to call it, really long ranged attacks could be a problem.
Also, slower travel speed.
I imagined it as more of a slow beam than an aura. Like Foxy
>Beyond that there’s also the opposite Doctor Manhattan
Did you ignore the posts detailing "Tsarina"?
No I just think we could expand upon them a little
I was going to suggest that she's "pulled" when the Soviets detonate a nuke while it's in the middle of teleporting between our dimension and hers, causing her dimension to collapse and merge with our own
Wouldn’t that cause more aliens to leak through the hole?
Yes, it would also cause that
Hmm, perhaps instead of a fake squid a real giant spider appears
>A giant, red, glowing angelic woman is briefly seen destroying the spider before vanishing without a trace
>reports of the incident say that space bent to allow her access to the area, with her homeworld described as a desert of red rocks
>there were unconfirmed reports that an unkempt and malnourished human woman appeared upon the giant being vanishing
>since then the government has claimed that the entire event was an elaborate hoax carried out by a deluded billionaire who believed it was necessary to save the world
>since then several reporters have attempted to look into the matter though must have vanished without a trace
>the wife of one private investigator claims her husband was devoured by “a monster lady made of living ink”
>the US government has since dismissed such claims as urban legends
>a week later, the Soviet Union mysteriously announces its dissolution, as the flag is lowered, a blue flash can be seen blasting throughout the Kremlin
>in large cities, reports start coming in about a serial killer wearing a tragedy mask
>one surviving victim claims they never use guns as it “cuts the misery short”
I know that yuri shipping has been overdone, and it overtook the threads, but I still am happy about this ship and how it’s appreciated
%3D
Honestly, if I could I would eliminate all shipping from these threads with the exception of Honey-Bee and Toxic, and Doe and Bronze Bear, just because I love their two dynamics
>playful but secretly lonely villain falls for shy and good natured heroine. The villainess wants to showcase her love but doesn’t know how
And
>an over enthusiastic weirdo and an adorable absolute moron who just love each other a lot
I know some Honey Bee art was commissioned but I'm pretty sure this one and a lot more (like picrel) was someone who regularly came to these threads. Someone suspected it of being SmthngJay because the style was similar to the draw friend in Gwenpool threads but I'm not sure.
Yeah, for a while we had a pretty neat drawfriend showing up. I enjoyed it regularly honestly.
Also truth be told I don’t actually mind when a Cinemaphile project ends as long as we had fun. I just wish people would stop assuming making a new thread afterwards is an attempt at a revival and not just someone in the mood to talk about it again. When did this space get so competitive
Whoever it was, I really hope they return, or at least creates an online gallery for their work.
Any new honeyart?
Not yet honestly, but there hasn’t been a thread in a little while
My time has come :
>The Dynamo League
>Wonder-Coyote(Liza):
a Woman Warrior and part of the Sisterhood of the Canine who can transform into a feral Coyote and an anthropomorphic super Coyote
So are they like the opposite of the Justice League
not really they are like a small-scale superhero team who fights small crimes and helps citizens in their hometown (Trunktown) think "Great Lakes Avengers" but that doesn't mean that they don't face huge threats
ngl started this in the /coc/ thread as a joke but continued it for serval weeks and the story Changed and reached a new plots and arc kek
Honestly I like them. I’ve seen them a few times over there and I think it’s fun how you portray them as a down to Earth team of capes
I don't understand this "wholesome bondage" thing going on between Toxic and Honey-Bee, especially considering the timeline of when things are supposed to happen:
>In the beginning Toxic is just a Screwball-esque streamer/influencer who'd do crazy thing for views, like holding up a bank, or causing chaos, or kidnapping/harassing the Daily Bugle's newest mascot for likes
>Then, she's revealed to be Dr. Doom's estranged daughter, and is whisked away to Latveria to learn discipline and manners befitting of the Daughter of Doom
>Petra feels sorry for Toxic, so she sends over a communicator that can bypass whatever Latverian firewall so Toxic can have access to the outside world, which is why Toxic develops an unrequited crush on Honey-Bee
>Jeanne goes in for mandated therapy
>finds Miss Negative there instead, holding her files
>she immediately launches into tearing apart ever insecurity that Jeanne has to feed on her misery, making Jeanne worthless and reducing her to the verge of tears
>Jeanne can’t handle it and walks out
>eventually can’t take it anymore and breaks down crying
>Honey-Bee sees her and flies down to comfort the distraught villain
>Jeanne immediately latches into Honey-Bee and starts sobbing into her costume, to which Petra just flies over to a nearby building and holds her there, letting her cry it out
>as she’s sobbing and muffled by the costume, Jeanne says those three magic words to Petra, though they go unheard
>”I love you”
Went more romantic than I expected, not that I mind
Based on greentext from previous thread, just make a porn comic of them
Not that I don't enjoy Honey-Bee and friends, but how about some other ideas, to keep things fresh?
I think it might be fun to do the reverse of some classic storylines.
Like a reverse Black Suit where Honey-Bee goes goth entirely on her own due to personal problems and develops insomnia, only snapping out of it with the arrival of the alien
Or instead of lifting something heavy, create a storyline requiring her to burrow somewhere
I keep seeing this character and thinking it's Taylor from Worm if she managed not to make a complete shitshow of her cape career
Funny thing is they’re only connected via shyness and bug theme. Beyond that they couldn’t be further apart
Didn't she save the world or whatever?that doesn't seem like a Shitshow to me.
Yeah but she ended up one armed and illiterate
What other series would make a good rule 63 project? Personally, I think Miraculous and Sym-Bionic Titan would be good fits.
Miraculous reversed is just Spider-Man so the other one is probably best
Also X-Men would be fun
Honestly, though, what would a "reversed" Symbionic Titan be, though? Would it be a complete genre shift? Or is it just Lance being a girl?
Why robot unchanged
Either Lance is a girl or it becomes Evangelion
Lance's gender doesn't really change much about the character.
What if instead of being a humanoid being, Superman was a grey alien with ice powers
What's a good example of "The Joker, only somehow sane enough to be helpful even if not heroic"?
Freakazoid?
Telltale vigilante joker?
So what is reverse Ozymandias like and what's his/her plan?
Probably someone super into magic the same way Ozy looked into science. Someone who’s more fame than ability with people willing to enact her plan for her
So what would her plan be? The same as Ozymandias? Or would she try and bring together the superpowers in a different way?
tfw no omnipotent ditzy southern belle gf
Yeah, basically constantly failing upwards while using hypnosis to cover up her mistakes
Like a female and idiot version of Lelouch
Since none of the Watchmen have powers, wouldn’t the reverse all have powers
Not necessarily. I think it'd be interesting if it were just a psyche change, too. So instead of being a hard boiled conspiracy theorist, reverse Rorscach would be some bleeding heart liberal or something?
maybe just call her Adrianna, for now? But yeah, she think she's being some 4D chess playing manipulator, but really being something far more sinister would be more in line with being the reverse of regular Adrian (i.e. doing something sinister with the intention of something altruistic)
Maybe as a compromise some of them have powers and others don’t just to make the reverses have a bit of variety.
For example Adrianna having maybe mild psychic abilities while reverse Rorschach has none. Also what if reverse Rorschach has a facial scar covered by the mask. It isn’t too bad, but she refuses to allow anyone to see it
>Reverse Rorschach is obsessed with public identity, everyone must know who she is
>Grew up in a loving family, never experienced hardships and is super idealistic
>Has a disdain for classic Americana and wants the world to move forward into an era of peace, ergo she's an idealist with a very liberal mindset and a somewhat fantastic view on justice
>Hates violence, but she's ruthless and exposes her victims via extensive research in a way that even law agencies are baffled by her uncanny detective skills
>Unlike Rorschach, she's incapable of being silent
I like this. She reminds me of a more bubbly adult Nancy Drew. Someone who just keeps finding mysteries and solves them out of a sense of purpose
So what would Nite Owl and Silk Spectre be in this reverse universe?
I'm thinking somewhere between Nancy Drew and the Mistress of Mystery from Fallout.
Oh yeah definitely. Though regardless of reverse or not reverse I still think it can’t be derived from Rorschach without a mask of some kind
Well, Rorschach has his ink mask that shifts around, so I guess reverse Rorschach has just a plain static domino mask? It could still be black and white, like her morality, but I'm not sure if the "black and white shifting patterns" think would work with Reverse Rorschach
Maybe something like the masks worn by Team Break
She wants eyes on her.
Remember how Rorschach patterned his mask off experimental cloth originally used for a dress? I could see her wearing a mask like
but her outfit could be made out of the moving fabric.
That honestly sounds awesome. I like to imagine it’s a jacket over the dress to give a slight concealment over the dress. Allowing for that kind of curiosity tease
If these reversed exist in the same universe as the regular Watchmen characters it might be really cool to see them face off against the main ones in rivalries
>when people are too cowardly to admit they think your idea is shit so they just silently glom onto whatever idea they think is better
Which was your idea?
Tsarina
Because if she was found/brainwashed/educated during the Cold War, I could see it more like Red Son, where she takes control of the USSR by force after realizing that Stalin and the others were lying to her
The interesting thing about her is her reverse Manhattan character arc as she starts off as a completely detached being unable to even perceive humanity, then slowly grows more attached to us and our freedom
That's why I think an imperialist coup d'etat is what she'd do. She'd learn about Russia before Soviet rule and how it descended into ruin under communism, growing attached to both humanity and newfound nostalgia for what her motherland used to be
I think that would be an incredibly interesting villain, especially a female one, since it kind of taps into like a maternal instinct. Like she takes over because she believes she knows best, and tries to forcibly disarm the world's nukes?
I think that becoming paranoid about her power's time limit would also contribute to becoming evil
Well, it would certainly give her a sense of urgency, like "I have to do this before I'm powerless to do so". But how would that color US-Russian relations? Like maybe they'd be ok with the USSR dissolving in favor of the Russian Republic, but they still got a super powered alien dommy mommy as leader, and a bunch of nukes, but Dr. Manhattan doesn't really give a shit
I think they would attempt to repair relations to stay on her good side, as well as devise some sort of space-time catastrophe to make Manhattan prove his purpose, to prove his existence is necessary.
I mean, would Manhattan care? His entire schtick is that he's become so powerful that mortal affairs are beneath him, so would he really care about Tsarina and the new Russian Republic?
He might care only because she’s a being on par with him who was born that way
I said "space-time" as in the threat she creates is cosmic and metaphysical in nature. There's the possibility that she can erase him on a metaphysical level or sent to a lower dimension. She's lived under state-enforced nihilism, so imagine how she'd feel towards seeing what she considers "Nihilism given sentient form"
What if we do Dr Strange?
Instead of magic it’s science, but science either so advanced that most people think it’s magic or delving into really weird researches?
Watchmen is a very specifically crafted story with specifically written characters.
Making elseworld slop like the shit above fundamentally doesn't work.
Watchmen is in of itself a fiction inspired by the characters of Charlton Comics, who were in themselves inspired by other figures. This is merely yet another expression of the initial idea
