Manga artists are creating new original characters for their new original series all the time. Why are americans obsessed with recycling the same old tired capeshit?
>New Original characters
We're on Ultraman number what now, 45? And Kamen Rider 50?
and Gintama, Naruto, Jojo, City Hunter, One Piece, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Case Closed, Dragon Quest, Rurouni Kenshin, Shaman King, and that's just some of the titles in this picture
and that's already ranging from battle shonen to murder mystery to police serial to historical drama
Meanwhile america is literally
>capeshit
>capeshit
>capeshit but gay
>capeshit but with capeshit from 100 years ago
>capeshit but what if superman was evil
>If we compare all genres to just the superhero genre, all genres looks bigger.
Are you moronic?
america doesn't have anything beyond the supercapeshit genre
America doesn't even have original characters in the capeshit genre.
It's always the same recycled names from 100 years ago. You can make a ranking like this https://gamerant.com/best-strongest-shonen-anime-protagonists with battle shonen protagonists and update it as more and more series come out but with capeshit it's always the same 2-3 names.
>It's always the same recycled names from 100 years ago
Meanwhile, in Japan...
Meanwhile in Japan an original comic started in 2018 is a success, so much "only established names matter" lol
>Flavor of the month that'll be gone and forgotten in a year.
YAWN
anon
your life will be forgotten sooner than Jujutsu Kaisen, rightfully so
All the titles that posted except Cased Closed and City Hunter are about superheroes.

And everything that’s come out since 2003 is derivative trash, your point?
Aren't you a bitter loser lol. The only derivative trash ITT is recycled capeshit, which is all you can produce.
Do you know how many new sentai series are created with new characters every year?
About as many forgettable new American capes. It doesn't matter. Only the established names matter. It's why they keep reinventing Power Ranger/Ultraman/Kamen Rider and not who-gives-a-frick toku man.
>Everything that doesn't agree with what I'm saying doesn't matter!
You have no idea what the frick you are talking about.
>Only the established names
Oh yeah the established name of Demon Slayer which started in... 2016
Every anime is telling the same tired story. The character archetypes are the same, the magic system structure is the same, the jokes are the same, the resolutions are the same, sometimes even the fricking designs are copy-pasted like with hackro mashima. Slapping new names on it is not original.
Congrats for crafting a statement so reductionist that it contributes absolutely nothing to this bait thread, anon. Cause frankly, one could replace "anime" with "cape comic", "movie", or "fairy tale" and nobody'd know the difference.
It's the same person who posted
He just changed his phone IP
Power of Stardust was nice. Too bad the artist died.
>Too bad the artist died.
What? When?
That Power Rangers makes more bank than Super Sentai is proof that Japs suck at making things. They need Uncle Sam to rescue their dying IPs. Imagine being reduced to a stock footage workshop on the international level! How embarassing!
Please don't feed the trolls.
That the First Post was able to easily hijack the thread is telling. Cinemaphile really needs to get it together.
It doesn't matter if it's truth or bullshit, it's the fact that it has nothing to do with the OP.
Cinemaphile is unable to sidestep anything. That's why East vs West threads keep getting made.
Airboy probably has the best track record for modern reinvention.
