Anyone who has half a brain can see the writing on the wall. Nearly every 'woke' movie that has come out in the last couple years has completely bombed. Even franchises with decades of goodwill built don't have the inertia to overcome it anymore. Disney is destroying itself in the process. It will soon be over.
Nothing is over. If you imagine it as a numerical scale, we've gone from 0 to +10 woke, and now we're going to have a pullback of a few points and land at +5 or +6 woke. This will seem like a huge improvement, especially to zoomers who have never known anything else. This will become the new normal, the new cultural zero point. And then, over time, the cycle will just repeat again, and again. The words might change, but nothing that matters will.
