>YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY IF I SERVE YOU SHIT, DON'T YOU KNOW SOMETIMES THINGS ARE HARD FOR ME!
Are servers actually moronic? What job do you think you can just not deliver ?
There is a more clever theme of subculture exclusivity that critiques the wealthy for proliferating it, but sadly it isn't as pronounced, nor is a it particularly poignant, in my opinion; I think we'd benefit entertainmentwise from the exploration of exclusivity and gatekeeping being good their subject.
it's not criticizing people that hold restaurants to certain standards. it's criticizing wealthy being who are pseudo intellectuals when they're just eating shit

So like 5 people on earth?
just imagine the Menu takes place in another part of the Succession universe and it's all good. Same writer/director as many episodes (MArk Mylod) and features the gay chinaman. Kendall Roy ate at hawthorne.
also frick rich people, we should kill them and take their stuff
i just watched it recently and it doesn't really matter whats your conclusion at the end because either way the film was hilarious
good way to waste two hours which is probably why this board never brings it up
the hispanics and the pajeets who overran this board only care about nolan and capeshit
The implication of The Menu is far deeper than the idea that "the rich" are pseudointellectuals
it's a highly talmudic attack on the idea of high-culture or aristocracy in general
the hero is a prostitute, first of all, and the movie presents the idea that this supposed "high art" of gourmet cooking is really just a front and not real at all, and could NEVER be real
notice how it never presents the idea that gourmet food, that "artistic" cooking could ever truly be what it's cracked up to be. There is no "good chef" in the film, they are ALL evil. ANYONE who is involved in the creation of high art is evil whether they actually believe in it or not
no, only dirty slop (le cheeseburger) is TRULY good according to The Menu
and anyone who outwardly appreciates high-art is thus evil by association, they are not virtuous and honest like the disgusting prostitute who outlives them all simply by doing nothing >"If you want to make or appreciate art, well you're just being duped GOYIM, you should have a nice day and let israelites and prostitutes take over the world, just be honest and admit that only the disgusting SLOP we sell you is good!"
That's the message
If you like the menu you're anti-white
Largely the same conclusion that I came to.
It's a movie with the same message as feminists shoving themselves into male spaces or trannies into women's bathrooms; the idea of culture must be homogenized. We are not allowed differentiating culture from the vantage of the vantage of the films premise.
Gordon Ramsay is an excellent example of how untrue this is ironically, as, regardless of how much a hack he is nowadays, he is a Michilin chef and highly regarded in gourmet dining and yet that isn't a detriment to himself as a person, and fully admits to also enjoying burgers and 'simplistic' slop.
It's a really disingenuous and, importantly, culturally marxist look on the classes and their differences, whereby an assumption exists that the mere existence of class difference somehow usurps class cooperation or contentment, and that discontent (fake food) MUST exist.
The idea there can be something higher that binds the classes together in spite of their differences, in similar vein to the chef's dilemma in The Menu, is completely left out. The existence of exclusive gourmet dining doesn't hurt burger joints or diners or vice versa. You can have both in an encompassing culture, regardless of one being "fake" or not, same as you can have different classes being expressions of different subcultures or circles.

I'm a poorgay and the upper middle class are just straight up better human beings. It makes me seethe so hard but they are, they are literally just better at everything, growing up poor feels like a life sentence.
>no actually... rich people good >t. makes median income of 24k per a year
why are conservachuds like this? >you see there is this thing called the american dream and I am just a temporary embarrassed billionaire and every rich person got where they are because they worked hard and you are a communist.....
yikes
Yes. At least the new ones, who never worked hard and got inheritance-money.
They dont know the struggles of life and see the rest as their pawns.
Just watch Im Georgina to reafirm your class. They live in a fricking booble.
Menu was so specially moronic when it implied that the rich people were bad because they were holding up restaurant food to a standard lol.
Stick to capeshit morons.

> Get's asspained at the notion of eating burgers and drinking beer.
> Considers himself an intellectual.
Project more
I love a good cheeseburger but the message is evil and anti-white
You are not white
Nonwhites can fight for The Cause too
I am not only white but whiter than u

I never understood that criticism for triangle of sadness because the movie is actually about how evil poor people are.
moron

True because I'm poor and jealous of them
Triangle of Sadness mogs The Menu.
Nah, ignorance and arrogance bad more like. Rich doesn't make you either by itself, some people just grow to be like that.
Why do you poor fricks idolize richoids so much?
/tv/'s userbase is made of temporarily embarrased millionaires
I'm a poorgay and the upper middle class are just straight up better human beings. It makes me seethe so hard but they are, they are literally just better at everything, growing up poor feels like a life sentence.
The Joker has the same rich people bad theme yet its universally praised here
To be fair, most new money fricks deserve the rope.
>Rich people... bad
Most of them are disconnected from reality, so yeah
>no actually... rich people good
>t. makes median income of 24k per a year
why are conservachuds like this?
>you see there is this thing called the american dream and I am just a temporary embarrassed billionaire and every rich person got where they are because they worked hard and you are a communist.....
yikes
Give me one reason why rich people are good?
The working class is largely populated by morons
>having money=smart
Brianlet
It usually works like that, good genes decant to the top
shit floats
rocks sink
hoarding money and properties then rent/sells it for a profit is good?
Some, like Elon Musk, are good
Filtered once. I won't say with which film, because I think it'll be funnier to watch you attempt to reason it out.
Eat the rich. Except Elon Musk, that homie is alright.
Yes. At least the new ones, who never worked hard and got inheritance-money.
They dont know the struggles of life and see the rest as their pawns.

I dont think menu talks about rich people bad but more about how some people think that food needs to be more than food
John Leguisamo is a piece of shit, yes.
