People make fun of the Simpsons, and it has become garbage, but they put together 10 great years while modern "adult animation" can maybe get to 2 good seasons at most.

That being said, I don't financially support AS or cable anymore, but I caught Royal Crackers and it was pretty good politically incorrect. Maybe not on AS, but it does feel like the pendulum is starting to swing back, albeit slowly.
Watched some of Royal Crackers and it was pretty funny. A guy in his 40s who’s stuck in the past when he was in a nu metal band is a funny idea for a character

First there's a noticeable decrease in the speed of the gags from the earlier seasons. There's a lot of dead air in between them and what's there is on screen for too long, the oart of my brain that is attuned to the modern day adhd nature of content delivery kept going "ok I get it, get a move on" whereas in the past the pace of the gags was at parity with or greater than my brain.
Also the gags are sóy. Like "meeting a celebrity guest who turns out to be crazy and nothing like their public persona" is something that's been done so many times it just feels offensively beyond rote at this point.
I mean Hugh seems a decent guy but this just felt like celebrity worship in a different coat which just makes the show feel even more corporatized and homogenized.
