I don't get it, isn't this elves in their prime? In LoTR with most of the elves fricked off from the world they still manage to put together at least a couple hundred warriors to come to Rohans aid. Maybe Amazon just doesn't have the budget for it.

watched it with my gf, the show has a bunch of filler, Galadriel could be cut out entirely from the story and it would not matter, Negolas was shit and the plot over opening the damn was moronic, the Dwarf and the Elf being bros was nice and as much it looks terrible, the Black person dwarf being a loving wife was cute, actually that plotline was nice, the Gandalf with the e-girl was superfluos and unnecesary but was my gf's favorite but she likes e-girl/older guy stories.
overall it sucks and is a waste of amazon money, if you want to watch it just watch youtube scenes and save yourself of all the filler.

The only actual plot of s1 was to show how Galadriel unwittingly dragged Sauron back into a position of power. I mean she sent an army to kill Sauron's enemies in what will soon be his HQ. Not only that but she decided to deliver him to the Eregion elves which has set off the ring making events. Her dragging the Numenoreans off to war and then returning back with such losses (and with an unfit to rule queen) will be the trigger event that causes them to fracture, eventually leading to the downfall.
They literally wrote her as the one driving the entire 2nd age plot, McBrainlet

The real problem with this series is not trying to autostically piece the puzzle (which it didn't because the writers have nothing but contempt for the original work), but rather going against his will and make everything political and turning the legendarium into an instrument with which the writers lecture the viewer on their personal social justice. Tolkien hated this and despite the obvious parallel with real life mythologies and christian religion, he never wanted to chastise someone for their different beliefs
