Because Amazon has tied the success of their Steaming platform and maybe even the company itself on making this the greatest show in television history. They have poured too much money and effort into it and Bezos's ego is too invested in it and he's worried if he admits it's failed that investors will dump the stock.
They're just praying it becomes a hit, but whether or not it does they're already bound to the show and will see it through to the wretched end.

Nonsensical cope. The "higher resolutions" are only new for home media and broadcast television. Movies shot on film and projected in theaters had that resolution from the start.

There's no real sets, everything's CGI, and the CGI is absolutely god awful, the props look like they're from the dollar store, the armors looked like they were made of cardboard and absolutely none of the actors could actually act.
