yes with an old add on they were using from comicxology days. others tho used tablets with HD resolution to screen cap each page the way you did it. so there are several ways. others used calibre to remove the DRM. Me, I buy the physical book and scan it. Im waiting for getco to post the link so i can share it here. Just got it scanned yesterday.

With US comics you have the open and free economy choices between filth and garbage. So people chose wholesome European comics or manga. How hard can that be to understand?
a diminishing number of titles could be a good thing. in the 1980s we had 2 X-Men titles for the better part of the decade and they sold like hot cakes. they were good. we still have great things today, don't get me wrong, titles on the same level as those of the 1980. but now the X-Men line has 10 titles or so and 6 are terrible and skippable.

No, it’s the fault of market research and marketing being combined which thrust us into this era of market researchers fighting with people for not praising their shit rather than passing the research along for the shills and creatives to adjust their approach and maybe even steal some ideas.
This means storytimes, run by shills for the most part over the last few years especially since anons like texasanon and norrin skidattled, became shit flinging fests because they couldn’t let dissent go in case the threads went to archive. If you see the comments sections on RCO, which the big 2 leave alone, they’re all super woke and defend the awful shit being made. Because it’s mostly shills there as well with a smattering of the LatAm and Asian people who can’t afford and would never buy American comics. All of this is how they try to push their own online services and sell trades because Hollywood/New York corporations decided that music and movies and TV piracy was good business a decade and a half ago - they published studies they funded about it. (Really it’s about consolidating revenue streams even further to the back end so they can pay the creators less residuals and they hit less recoupment thresholds)
But it’s become unproductive so they do it less here. Which means less corporate, consistent, storytimes but hopefully less shills. It’s a trade off I suppose. Scans worked fine.

I tried the Marvel Unlimited trial, and only the Infinity comics are available there. And living in europe, print format publishers with the marvel rights (I think it's still Panini) don't give a frick and take months to release (poorly) translated issues.
I have no problem with paying for comics, but a) I hate waiting b) I fricking hate staples. A digital sub or piracy was great, then get the TPBs when they come out later.
Are they still full of ads and "Got milk?" Crap? One of the benefits of digital releases was not having to endure that.
Honesty, they should bundle the new comic releases into Disney +, even if it means paying for a sub upgrade. No one is ever going to pay for all those shitty tie-ins when a new event begins

Enable comic visibility on Amazon per link in OP
Log in and download comics
Download Calibre & install
Download the latest De-DRM: https://github.com/apprenticeharper/DeDRM_tools/releases

Go into Calibre preferences to install the plugins, then close Calibre, and re-open
Steps to create DRM-free comics:
Find path for where you downloaded comics in Kindle (Tools, options, content)
Drag the .azw file into Calibre
Right click or press T to edit the comic
Collapse text on the left side menu
Right click on images, select all
Right click on selected images, export all x images, choose a directory
Go to that directory, zip up the files, change to cbz (Bandizip can go direct to cbz if you rename the extension)
A quick note: It seems the last file is a thumbnail and the second to last is the cover. You might consider deleting the last file and changing the cover to "00000" before zipping up the images.

Amazon absolutely has been known to put digital watermarks in their books no matter what some people will tell you here. I didn't look at the X-Men book posted, maybe it doesn't have any. But I would absolutely err on the side of caution. These will spread like wildfire when posted here. Don't get your accounts banned or anything just to read a comic book a few days early. The rippers will have this sorted like the always do in a couple days. Relax and enjoy the weekend and don't jeopardize your Amazon accounts.

My understanding is that's just Kindle showing that the rotation lock is disabled, I didn't notice it had appeared when I took the screenshot (must have tilted the tablet a little), and didn't realize until I had already uploaded it, so too late for a redo.
Anyway, it shouldn't be the supposed watermark, and I didn't see any in any of the other screenshots.
I should note the guy says the watermark would appear at the edge of some pages, and the screenshots originally had some black space on top and bottom (like the title page has on the sides), and I used my image viewer to do a batch auto-crop. So if there was anything, it might have been cut and I didn't even know.

yes with an old add on they were using from comicxology days. others tho used tablets with HD resolution to screen cap each page the way you did it. so there are several ways. others used calibre to remove the DRM. a diminishing number of titles could be a good thing. in the 1980s we had 2 X-Men titles for the better part of the decade and they sold like hot cakes. they were good. we still have great things today, don't get me wrong, titles on the same level as those of the 1980. but now the X-Men line has 10 titles or so and 6 are terrible and skippable.

This happens once every few months presumably because the rippers have something else that they have to do. It's more prevalent around holiday times (especially Christmas) but every so often it will just happen randomly. And every time there's people who think it means nobody will rip comics anymore and it always turns out to be a false alarm.

If you see the comments sections on RCO, which the big 2 leave alone, they’re all super woke and defend the awful shit being made. Because it’s mostly shills there as well with a smattering of the LatAm and Asian people who can’t afford and would never buy American comics. All of this is how they try to push their own online services and sell trades because Hollywood/New York corporations decided that music and movies and TV piracy was good business a decade and a half ago - they published studies they funded about it. (Really it’s about consolidating revenue streams even further to the back end so they can pay the creators less residuals and they hit less recoupment thresholds)

I tried the Marvel Unlimited trial, and only the Infinity comics are available there. And living in europe, print format publishers with the marvel rights (I think it's still Panini) don't give a frick and take months to release (poorly) translated issues.
I have no problem with paying for comics, but a) I hate waiting b) I fricking hate staples. A digital sub or piracy was great, then get the TPBs when they come out later.

Prep:
Download Kindle app & install
Enable comic visibility on Amazon per link in OP
Log in and download comics
Download Calibre & install
Download the latest De-DRM: https://github.com/apprenticeharper/DeDRM_tools/releases

Go into Calibre preferences to install the plugins, then close Calibre, and re-open
Steps to create DRM-free comics:
Find path for where you downloaded comics in Kindle (Tools, options, content)
Drag the .azw file into Calibre
Right click or press T to edit the comic
Collapse text on the left side menu
Right click on images, select all
Right click on selected images, export all x images, choose a directory
Go to that directory, zip up the files, change to cbz (Bandizip can go direct to cbz if you rename the extension)
A quick note: It seems the last file is a thumbnail and the second to last is the cover. You might consider deleting the last file and changing the cover to "00000" before zipping up the images.

people use HD tablets, and screen capture the images one by one, then save them and zip them and make a cbz. remember rar becomes a cbr while zip becomes a cbz. then go to getco's discord, find theComicsguy and give him the links.

Amazon absolutely has been known to put digital watermarks in their books no matter what some people will tell you here. I didn't look at the X-Men book posted, maybe it doesn't have any. But I would absolutely err on the side of caution. These will spread like wildfire when posted here. Don't get your accounts banned or anything just to read a comic book a few days early. The rippers will have this sorted like the always do in a couple days. Relax and enjoy the weekend and don't jeopardize your Amazon accounts.

It's what I did for the Apocalypse book that's going around. But there's this guy in the thread saying I'm gonna get raped by Amazon because of their digital watermarks or whatever. I don't believe it, but if he's right, that's probably the reason Rippers don't do it for every book. That and being limited in terms of quality.
I bought it because I wanted to read it, ripping it was just a courtesy to the lads.

there's a small lock icon at the botton of page 8. maybe that's got something to do with the watermark stuff?
My understanding is that's just Kindle showing that the rotation lock is disabled, I didn't notice it had appeared when I took the screenshot (must have tilted the tablet a little), and didn't realize until I had already uploaded it, so too late for a redo.
Anyway, it shouldn't be the supposed watermark, and I didn't see any in any of the other screenshots.
I should note the guy says the watermark would appear at the edge of some pages, and the screenshots originally had some black space on top and bottom (like the title page has on the sides), and I used my image viewer to do a batch auto-crop. So if there was anything, it might have been cut and I didn't even know.
