And you are not immortal. You will age, and you will become infirm, and you will die. And it will happen sooner than you think, and it seems like you are the most important force in the world right now, but that will not last beyond a couple more years. Then you will be a "boomer" by your own definition, and you will have no idea what to do.

You type like a hysterical boomer.
You wanna know why younger generations don't have any "work ethic"? Because it's not fricking worth it. I have no incentive to do more than "less than the bare minimum at an easy ass job." It won't get me anything better. I'm not paid according to my productivity, I make the same amount of money no matter how hard I work at any given job. Am I supposed to take pride in making my boss money, or something? Am I supposed to be proud of myself for helping him buy his 3rd rental property while I know that I will NEVER afford a home?
Boomers voted for this shit and it's us who are paying the price, all while dealing with ever-higher taxes just to pay for the boomers' fricking social security.

No disagreement there. But as someone who somehow internalized the benefits of being a good person without much positive example or guidance from a parent, I don't have much sympathy for them. Also my gf is gen z and the daughter of two ruthless capitalists that believe you should lie cheat and steal your way through most things and she's known from a young age they were behaving badly just through basic observation. She's reputably the nicest person most people that meet her know. She does not have sympathy for them either. Just food for thought. I'm not the one boohooing.

Productivity has skyrocketed over the past century but wages have stagnated. People have to work multiple jobs just to meet basic needs. You were able to buy a house on a basic level job. Now you can’t even pay for rent in most places alone .

Fair point but their terrible work ethic stated long before any of them were aware of rent so it's not really addressing the root of the problem. They have major issues culturally where they don't understand how stuff operates wholistically. They all think they should be treated like royalty, that blatant hypocrisy is not only OK but should be encouraged, and that a good person is bad because they make bad people feel worse. Some of this will be resolved with age, but a lot of it is extremely toxic and will keep them decades in personal development behind other generations. In essence money wouldn't begin to solve their problems.

Zoomers are 25 now, they're doing fine, besides the economic crisis that literally everyone who didn't buy a house for $3.50 in 1981 is suffering from right now

            >Zoomers are 25
the oldest ones are,but high schoolers are still Gen Z. And this problem has been growing for like 20 years now. And Zoomers are not doing fine, they lack basic life skills, they're illiterate, and they suck in the workplace.

I also noticed that young kids seem scared or lost whenever they have to interact with anyone irl. As soon as you take them out of their element (video game lobbies, discord servers), they become very docile.

I used to think me and my generation of soft handed 90's molly-coddled urbanites were total lemmings, but I run mental laps around the zillennials I work with.

What's worse, the guys seem to be a lot more effete and indecisive than the girls. It sort of dawned on me as to why there are so many pedophiles and "dadbod" 30-somethings nowdays bragging about how easy it is to bang zoomer girls. It's because whenever I take my niece and her neighbors home from high school, girls are excited to see me just because I don't drive a shitbox, while the boys completely shut down if I try to strike a conversation or interject with something. Jodie Foster is based. One of the few stars who never abandoned Mel Gibson

And she is right to be fair. I went to university in the early 2010’s. even then it was wild seeing how differently I wrote emails compared to 3 quarters of the class. The teachers would regularly email them back telling them to write them professionally and wouldn’t answer questions they sent until they did.

This wasn’t just some arrogance thing. Just that if you’re writing emails to a future employer, you need to come across as a professional. If they let them think it’s fine to write that way now, if they apply for jobs this way or regularly communicate to their boss in official emails like it, they will not do well.

Instead they were just writing like it was a text to a friend. Rather than the very easy to do, basic as shit formalities you’d see in simple letter writing. Dear X. Regarding Y. Regards, My Name

Maybe that’s why they don’t get it, almost no young person has written a physical letter in their life. I know I haven’t.

I also know I’ve gotten 2 jobs solely because I wrote the email in a well stylised way that sounded professional. Compared to the shit ton they must receive that sound like AI slop. Especially when you consider they see the Email writing, then typically you have your CV as a document accompanied to it, who is going to read the CV if the email is shit?

We are in a unique position anon. No generation has been more conscious of how much of a frick up the next generation is until now. Like people bashed millenials but it was largely baseless stuff and most of the attacks were directed at the tail end of our generation. Zoomers are terrifying. They think they are changing things by whining and posting pictures while corporations and alphabet agencies blatantly use their "social movements" to clean overbudgeted houses and move players around. They are the ultimate machiavellian slave class that could only be surpassed in that regard by a literal Matrix type scenario. Yes you should be concerned in a way no one has before. But don't forget to live your life.

      >We are in a unique position anon. No generation has been more conscious of how much of a frick up the next generation is until now
Literally THIS. Every generation has it's issues with the one before & after, but zoomers have literally been the most coddled generation coupled with the most propagandized to the point of having any form of critical thinking skills drilled out of them. Social media is so fricking "nanny state" that we can't even tell you when you're acting moronic, so you're oblivious to how the world perceives you while being narcissistically full of yourselves. It wouldn't be so bad if you were at least able to think for yourselves, but you literally can't. I do fear for the future. Zoomers are literally moronic and can't maintain a complex society.

Coddled implies our parents actually raised us instead of plopping us in front of screens. This is why you're seeing Gen Z get so pissed at the state of Gen Alpha, we're looking at a fricked up mirror of ourselves, everything wrong with our generation but amplified 10 fold. It's probably the most legitimate gripe Z has with Alpha, for all the shit they give us about our upbringing and how we were raised, they mostly did jack shit when it came to saving their own children from the same fate because actual parenting would cut into their "me time".

how can you guys blame boomers when millennial voted all this libtard/woke shit in to be the dominant culture thats ruining everything? this all started with obama, millennial's jesus christ... and i'm not a drumpf fan, so dont even start with that shit

Who raised millennials though? Not that I like millennials, they are at the point now where self-awareness should have overtaken dogshit parenting (and yet, it hasn't), but still, the scum that raised them is very guilty there.

I completely agree with her. Zoomers literally don't know anything. They have no culture, they can't read or write, their music sucks, they don't know history and they actually look up ratings on IMDB before deciding to watch a movie. We seriously need to scrap them and start over. Try for a better generation to take over. This one sucks and basically we're doomed.

Love Jodie Foster btw. Only reason why I'm gonna give season 4 a shot.

doubt it has much to do with generational stuff. some jobs and people are just shit. I've worked at places where I've worked my bollocks off and places where everyone, young and old, just doesn't do anything. I have a team meeting 3 times a week and no one talks about work, it's just the older folks talking about what they had for dinner and what their kids have been up to for an hour.

      Anonymous

      >some jobs and people are just shit.
this is true but there are definitely generational issues. Gen Z was more likely to be raised by a single mother. Modern schools have a progressive approach that teaches kids not to have personal responsibility. As

      >Adults aged 18 to 34 have shifted from being about equally split on social views in the early 2000s, with a net conservative score near zero, to having a substantially negative net conservative score of -21 today.
      https://news.gallup.com/poll/351494/americans-divided-social-economic-issues.aspx

pointed out there is a growing generational divide in politics that's larger than it used to be, because Zoomers were indoctrinated by public schools instead of getting an actual legitimate education. They're completely incapable of thinking for themselves. Try having an in-depth political conversation with a Zoomer and you'll see that they really are just NPCs who don't have their own opinions.

I'm 27 and that image is exactly the kind of rhetoric you get in the workplace as well. There's one great slide I can remember from the mandatory equality and diversity training we do every year where I work it was something like
        >look at this picture of little billy
        >billy made some towers out of lego bricks
        >if billy knocks down the towers with his hands, is it a sign of radicalisation?
The correct answer was yes. Also if you forget to take the course HR starts calling you to get it sorted. It's all moronic unless you get into a small business.

The problem is sadly on education and it will take a generation to fix it.

Have you noticed for example how tv titles on news shows are riddled with grammar errors?

That is two fold, first hiring by color and not skills, and second is quality of education has been so bad globally for the last generation, the "everyone gets a star/you can be whatever you wish" system doesn't work, you have to make kids repeat years again and again if they don't know basics as reading and writing.

I work at a coroner's office doing the photography and there is a new gen z girl I'm pretty sure is going to get fired. The doctor told her to work on this new corpse that was badly decomposed and she just unzipped the bag and zipped it up and said nope and just wandered off. I sat there waiting for a half half an hour and the doctor comes back and is like where is she? Why isn't anything started. I was like she just dipped.
