the art style is decent enough journeyman-tier. i disagree that the character designs look "badass." they look like d-list superheroes primed to be offed in some alt-universe DC storyline.
i dont know about other people, but i dont respond well to the combination of great ambition and boasting with utterly mediocre output.
i'd also argue that the goal to out-do the "big 2" speaks less to an interest in making the best comics than in becoming a rich businessman, so they can eat shit for that, too.

The problem is that even the most successful of these comics is still just b***hing about it in comics form. They always promise it's going to be apolitical but then the actual content is literally supehero donald trump punching out a giant mechanical hilary clinton.

I disagree. The major difference is how youtubers typically sit behind a camera being all bark and no bite while their impotent audience all circle jerks about how the media is bad and their daddy youtuber is the correct voice.
