Solo was Ben’s name, and it would have been a way to honor his sacrifice.
Han was much more of a father figure to her than Luke (and Leia’s name isn’t even Skywalker.)
Solo was an adopted moniker for Han when he had no last name of his own, not unlike her.
It would have been far more fitting and less disrespectful than taking the name of a family that she and her grandfather had exterminated.
In the US a man can declare himself a woman and vice versa. Today someone is in the mood to be a man, tomorrow a woman, then a moose, and then a Skywalker. What's wrong with that?
This among many other reasons is why Star Wars never should have exceeded the original 3 movies. No clone wars, no shitty books and comics, nothing. Video games? Sure they have more value than just dumping lore. But that's it. Imagine writing such a piss poor character that it creates rage among fans that has no where to go besides targeting the actor with no control on the situation. And now Disney is putting this actor on a pedestal years later just for PR. And this idiot really think his career is going to go somewhere with this. He gonna end up trying to kill himself again.
actually clone wars wouldve been a perfect movie, couldve done the whole prequel story and a cool as montage of the battles. the prequels were stretched thin in 3 parts
