      good lord
      i miss goth girls

I saw a black goth chick hanging out in some run down hangout spot recently. She had boots that looked like that, actually they were a fair bit bigger, and she was wearing these kind of tight black clothes and had messy hair and was smoking a cigarette. It was kind of love at first sight, but something people don't always mention with goth chicks is that there's an air of intimidation around girls like that. Like, she would NOT think you're cool if you walked up to her and said hi. It's probably not the case but they do give off a vibe that kind of scares off most people.

I grew up when goths were at their most popular and they never intimidated me. Far less now when I see the rare one because they are just “I’m not like the other girls” conformists that selected archetype #83. And when you see one’s in their 30s or older it is just pathetic.

When you spend that much time on your appearance, with the idea being you don’t care, it just comes of as lame.

I'd like to remind everyone ITT that these boots are most likely custom made, cobbled to perfectly fit his tiny feet/legs to provide the maximum amount of lift. They probably cost thousands and thousands of dollars.

These are just the first examples I pulled from Google, but as a millionaire actor, he most likely has a special company that takes 3d images of his feet to craft the perfect manlet cope shoes/boots for him. I wonder what his wardrobe looks like, and how much he's spent on these ridiculous shoes throughout his life.

The suit and shoes needs to be part of one system, not separate pieces that have simply been color matched to one another. He's trying to maintain an over-all effect here, and it doesn't work because he doesn't have a single system with which to put forth his efforts.

With millions of dollars surely you could tailor-make stealth heels that don't very obviously look like platform clown shoes? I'm 5'9 but on first dates I used to wear insoles that added 1-2 inches since I put 6'0 on my profile and no one could tell.

I think he's not doing out of insecurity, but rather a sense of needing to follow the height rules of film. He's been standing on boxes his entire career so that he's in the right height range to match with his co-stars for aesthetic appeal in film, they all do it, why not do that for photographs on the red carpet too? It's the same shit. Standard practice. Red carpets are just another part of the job, and matching height is part of his job.

Honestly less ridiculous than RDJ. She knows she’s a 5’ tall ftm and everyone knows her real height, but she wants to be tall to feel masculine so she wears the big shoes, but they are loud and stylish to draw attention as part of her look. She’s not hiding the big chunky lifts because she doesn’t care that people know she’s actually short, it’s no secret.
RDJ is a nasty little furtive israelite that larps as a human being when in reality he is a Warwick Davis sized cracked out little israeliteoid ratlet runt. I really like petite women. There's something inherently satisfying about being able to carry a woman. Whispering to them it's time for bed, they whine quietly then wrap their arms around your neck. If his wife didn’t agree with him no matter what she’d be rotated out. A wife usually should do this but not in the case where she’s doing it just so she doesn’t get thrown on the street. I work at a country club and this happens constantly with all the rich guys who have memberships. Wives are all competing and trying to stay relevant so they don’t get divorced and replaced with a 20 y/o.

I have some other ones that I bought from some european website but i forgot the name, they were kind of expensive, I'm pretty sure some of the celebs you see in lifts where the same brand. Some hot black chick commented on them recently while I was on an elevator in NYNY in Las Vegas, said she liked my "kicks." Also had some drunk milfs on the same elevator a different night imply I could come up to their room with them if i wanted. Not in the market, but options open up to you when you have a style, and an air of confidence about you, and height isn't a limiting factor.

also a lift wearer (5'8 to 5'10 or 5'11, depending on what I feel like wearing on the day) and you absolutely 100000% get treated with way more respect by both women and men, but especially women (the way they look and interact with you is just completely night and day). people (usually just stubborn ass dudes) just don't understand how much height matters psychologically at the subconscious level for even mundane stuff like day to day interaction, so you can imagine how it is for stuff like dates and your career. as long as you don't go overboard and are walking around on stilts like RDJ it's completely unnoticeable and you're doing yourself a disservice by not taking advantage of even a small 1 or 2 inch boost. the truth of the world is that looks and height matters, so you should always try max those out to the best of your ability

Basically this. I'm a manlet and interviewed online for a company. Got the job and had to show up there to sign and I could feel the HR lady's demeanor totally 180 from how she seemed in online meetings. Like she thought she had made a huge mistake hiring me. When I went to greet the team it was totally awkward and silent even though they weren't like that during online interviews.

              Anonymous

Maybe you didn't channel the same kind of energy or social skills that you had in your online interviews. I usually get invited to job interviews pretty quickly based on my submission letters and online meetings tend to go well, but I'm pretty stiff in person sometimes. Other times I'm relaxed and in my element so it works out fine.
I really doubt height was the only reason they changed their demeanor because the number one thing an employer is looking for is someone capable enough for the job.
If anything, an unassuming looking employee has less or a risk to create jealousy or a feeling of competition in your boss.

                Anonymous

it sounds more like HR thought they were getting a strong candidate that would present well in meetings to clients but were shocked by how short he was since people generally do not take short people all that seriously, which may have somewhat defeated the purpose of hiring him. everyone is used to people being a little awkward when starting at a new company, but that anon sounded like the company was completely caught off guard by something about him, which could've very well been his height. It's way more important than you think, and dismissing that possibility is very foolish.

                Anonymous

Not either anon but I have a coworker that works for a different branch in my company in a different state. I’ve only met with him via Zoom and he’s a pretty handsome guy. From the video calls, you can’t tell his height but his top proportion seemed like he might be tall or at least average height. He had a long neck and slim face. I stalked his LinkedIn and it was a full body picture and he looked tall. So I was pretty confident he was a tall guy. Then I travel to a work conference and he’s there too and to my shock he was like 5’6 or something. Another coworker blew that out of the water showing up at 5’3”. Both my perception of their worth didn’t change or anything, but it definitely took a little while to adjust to what I saw.
I think it’s fricked if someone changes their opinion of another person because of their height, but there’s no denying that thinking someone is one height and they turn out another can be jarring. It would be same thing if someone looked short on video and then you meet them and they’re tall.

Jackman is australian and didnt make it until well into his 30s, by which he was married to some average bird he met when he was younger. Male celebs in LA are surrounded by a much higher ratio of beautiful women than the wests average, if you're famous, even a little bit, you're in the 1% and women out of your league will give you a chance, especially if you have game.

Eh, 5'11 is enough for all practical/physical purposes you might need. IIRC, one of the current strongest men in the world is 5'10. But Vin also strikes me as a guy who would wear platform shoes based on his pics next to the Rock, who himself probably lies about his real height.

All these homies lie. Arnold claims 6'2 but he seems pretty close in height to Sly who is between 5'9 - 5'10. Arnie currently must be 6'1 tops.

Average height is the best you might want. You get the health advantages of short height while not being as short and it's camera friendly.
If you're too tall the only roles you'll get as an actor are creatures in suits or henchmen.

Why are manlets so obsessed with their height?

    >be 6'1, actual doctors office measuremnt bare feet
    >join a gym
    >one trainer there helps me out and even references his height as a "small bastard" (he is 5'10)
    >he starts competing
    >he starts bragging to me how he is 220 lbs of pure muscle at 6'1
    >I jokingly call him a lying bastard because I am 6'1
    >he says no way anon, you are 6'3 or 6'4
    >I told him about how I measured 6'1 at my physical 4 years ago and he says I might have had a growth spurt

Those are quite rare in your 30s lol.

Also we have this gem from the same gym

    >guy is 5'11
    >becomes a PT and lists his height at 6'4
    >they call him out in the comments and he says frick you, who the hell knows my height better than me?!

I get lying about weight but height is IN YOUR FACE there.

When you're a lanklette the air you breathe up in the clouds has a reduced oxygen level. A manlette is more dangerous because it can hide under any surface and strike when you least expect.

    >For his roles as Tony Stark and Sherlock he has also been photographed wearing height enhancing footwear to appear taller on screen. In fact, in a JapanTimes interview he said of this lift-wearing, "There's nothing to talk about there - lots of actors do that, both now and in the past. Tom Cruise. Or read up on John Wayne, who even had lifts in his car so he'd look taller driving. Height is one of the rules and practices of this male-enhancing business".
