We need a sequel series where Otto eventually became a pro skater and amassed a decent amount of wealth only to spiral into a Bam Margera-esque washed up, drugged up, overweight ex-celeb who’s driven away any freinds and family and replaced them with talentess and dope headed dickriders who are self proclaimed “rappers”
They already released a little thing about the future. Squid became a chad and Otto became a sub-mediocre loser who just inherited the surf shack from his dad but somehow lost the snack bar. And he's balding.
Same but I was a Northern Californian that lived on the coast. This and weekenders felt like little snippets of what California was like back then, before everything went to shit. In retrospect Rocket Power was pretty bad though, I've tried rewatching it and it doesn't hold up at all. Can't imagine what it must have felt like for the 99% of people not specifically living in coastal California in the late 90s to early 00s.
I liked this show a lot. So many years later and I still think the dubbed version from my country is way better than the original audio. One of the very few instances in which that's the case
They ran out of good ideas and kept trying to lean into their aesthetic even harder despite it basically being out of date by the late 00s. A lot of their later pitches are just shit.
Who were they? I know Reggie, but I don't remember the other two, but I know Regige hung out with them, I also remember having a weird relationship with this show.
I hated it, but I watched it.
I just found it weirdly boring.
‘How do you do, fellow kids’, the show
Did it work?
It lasted 4 seasons so maybe.
Remember the episode when Squid beefed it?
Or when they PRANKED Lars into thinking Twister died in the woods and recorded his crying?
Remember that one Tito episode?

I never liked this show. Made me feel like a loser. Watch show of kids having fun skating, biking, ect.
Frick this, I turn off the tv go outside and go biking or ect with my friends.
I didn't have friends and wasn't allowed
to go outside because it was "too dangerous".
I enjoyed this show as a southern Californian that could do all the things they did on the show
I, a southern Californian, felt like I got all the necessary exercise and variety of trying new sports by watching the show instead.

don't most cartoons take place in southern california?
As Told By Ginger takes place in Connecticut.
Fricking 90% of every movie takes place in SF (ignoring it's a trash city now) or southern California.
Shout out to Momster vs Aliens taking place in Sac town.
what about NYC??
I think that's sitcoms
I meamt places that take place in California
Although Oakland has been getting some love, but I think that's more white people want diversity.
does anything take place here?
The Loud House is in suburban Detroit.
No, only specifically cartoons made in the 90s by particular studios.

Our HEROES
Why did KC stop making new shows/movies? The studio's still around after years of inactivity somehow.
They've been trying to pitch new shows for decades but no studio wants them anymore.
They ran out of good ideas and kept trying to lean into their aesthetic even harder despite it basically being out of date by the late 00s. A lot of their later pitches are just shit.
Nick got sick of them.
the stuff they made that used to be successful (sports, animals, teen drama, rugrats) just fell out of favor with mainstream tastes.
Just like Tom Ruegger when anime came to America.
Most of their stuff is either in their 70s/80s or already dead. Rugrats reboot is essentially their swansong.
*staff
>they got sand in the potato salad
what the frick
squid is dead
TOTAL SHOOBIE DEATH
*sniffs*
Kys
No, you.
As a kid I had an obsession with ramps so I often enjoyed this show.

Reggie is an Underrated waifu.
Yeah I saided it. She was the best character too. Next to Lars and Sam.
