damn
How do you go from being big time to death?
Happens to a lot of artists
They finally got their karma
This happens to a lot of Youtubers as well. Pretty much any popular social media personality will have a peak but then decline. NigaHiga, AVGN, Ray William Johnson, Spoony, and now Sniperwolf.
It’s just life. We live and we die. We can bow out gracefully or fight until the end. I feel like people here are almost happy something that was once huge is dying, crabs in a bucket and all, but RT really has nothing to be ashamed of. This all started with Halo machinima and that’s still kind of cool.
Tamers12345 will live forever thoughever
Well yeah, the Sonic Underground can't be stopped.
Huh, I was gonna add Nostalgia Critic but he actually looks pretty alright for himself.
Fired all of their talent.
Setting aside whatever dumb decisions they've made, misfortunes, or culture war stuff? They don't have profitable business models. They don't have actual growth. They got big because they sold a vision to private investors. This is 3/4 of new media.
Some things just don't scale. A couple of guys can record themselves playing Halo and dub over it and get popular, and that can pay for itself because it has practically no overhead. But then you become part of a company that pays for office space, marketing, personnel who do nothing, people who manage the personnel who do nothing, a microwave in the kitchen that smells like fish, potted plants, and suddenly even 1 million views on Youtube doesn't quite cut it.
Lately, you may have seen a lot of online entertainment sites shut down, and articles about the importance of online criticism and journalism and the need to protect them, from very biased parties. Are we actually losing online criticism and journalism? Heck no. We have countless individuals who don't all serve a single master, with more charisma, doing a better job. Rooster Teeth is in a similar situation as those laid off journalists. The quality of entertainment they provide cannot compete with what kids can find and do on TikTok.
The supply far exceeds the demand.
Online streaming is just plain not that profitable of a business model no matter who is doing it.
Another major aspect is the fact that the streaming market is so ridiculously divided. It's not just the big players in Amazon, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Apple+, and Netflix. But all the individual channels with Peawiener, Discovery, and AMC, then all the many MANY free services out there with Tubi, Pluto, Freevee, Sling, Fubo, Rakuten, Crackle, Xumo, Plex, and Roku. Plus the weird ones like the Classic sitcom one, the western one, etc. There are a lot of those.
There is just too fricking much now, no one is going to bother even looking at 90% of them to see what they even have. It's easier to just stick to youtube or pirate stuff. There is no telling what new stuff even exists anymore outside of the top most popular things on Amazon or Disney, who the hell even knows what is new and amazing, how would someone know? X show on whatever the frick streaming service they may or may not even have. It's just easier to stick to TikTok and never have to worry about any of that shit at all.
Shit was just plain easier with cable. Just subscribe to cable and go with it. There may have been 80 or more channels but only like 15 were anything anyone actually paid attention to.
>Shit was just plain easier with cable
I'm convinced someone will start bundling streaming service catalogues together and add ads so we'll be back to cable except it's on the computer and the back catalogue is always available.
Most likely since that was the only profitable venture for studios. Licensees and advertisers combined made them money. So at some point there will be a consolidation into a mega service that is essentially cable all over again. costing about the same and nothing really changing.
When you let the homosexuals run your buissness instead of relying on what got you there
Adam ran RT? Also more info on why everyone seemed to hate him? Like I get the whole fricking on their desks thing is gross and he cheated or whatever but it seems people hated Adam even before that
Kovic was more or less co-head of programming and signed off on decisions.
>The confirmed stuff
>Jerking it in the bathroom, office, streaming room, over people's desks, etc.
>Back at IGN Inside Gaming did a lot of promising to the adult talent that came in (Sasha Grey, Misti Dawn) that he could get them shit in return for some sexual favors
>Misti Dawn obliged to making out and handjobs thinking it could work. Was freaked out when she met his fiancé at an event because he didn't wear a ring or tell her.
>This led to the boys club since the other guys recognized Adam would creep on women so they mainly only got dudes to work on their stuff
the semi-pieced together-but-unconfirmed:
>At Funhaus had some kind of insane contract that meant firing him would cost more; survived multiple internal meetings because RT higher ups remarked they were a package deal and it would look "odd" if a core member left
>Creeped repeatedly on any visiting women/staff. Reported repeatedly but waved it off. Elyse more or less protected by James and the sibling vibes.
>Joel more or less knew this was happening, pointed it out and bounced.
>Spoole got tired of Adam's weird shit, made a few jokes about it that sometimes made it in the final edit and then decided frick it and left.
>Bruce snapped when Adam creeped on his now-wife and left due to burnout, the lack of action and seeing stuff wouldn't change
>Lawrence kept getting lied to by Adam about content. He wanted more control of Inside Gaming and to do vidya journalism, Adam would say "I got your back" and then in pitch meetings with RT would 180 and say "terrible idea, now here's where the channel should go." This led to Lawrence bouncing.
>James/Elyse started reaching out to do more writing with other companies with the intention of also bouncing in a year or so.
>Allegedly Adam really got off on the Demo Disk bits forcing people to watch porn, but fans thought it was funny.
</spoiler>
They basically sunk all their money into GenLock, a season of which cost them more than all the preceding seasons of RWBY and RvB combined. Then GenLock turned out to be a massive flop, and little more than one celebrity’s vanity project, so after that it basically set the company in a death spiral.
That’s pretty much it. Don’t let any stupid office politics gossip distract you from that, RT could have just kept reliably churning out RWBY garbage until the end of time and still turned a profit. But it was GenLock that tipped the ship over
While genlock is absolutely significant, I think it's important to remember all the other failed RT projects.
Remember when RT tried to do live action?
Remember when they tried to be a video game studio?
Yeah. There's a reason you don't. RT has a long history of failure with only their streaming stuff ever being consistently successful, and even that's waned as many of the original personalities moved on.
There's failed live-action projects like Day 5 but those were only ever amateur productions at best, RT was still going strong then. Even animation wise projects like Camp Camp or Nomad of Nowhere barely broke even. Most companies produce more duds than hits, the trick is to have the hits act as a cushion in case of individual project failures. That was what RWBY was doing, it proved such a hit that it was basically a license to print money.
GenLock was an enormous risk that was basically RT's attempt to make a "real" show, something to break out of the niche webcartoon market and actually reach a television audience. Imagine making a cartoon with seven notable Hollywood celebrities for your main cast, a couple of whom were in the prime of their careers, and which only one had any prior voice acting experience. Then give the series almost exclusive control to an actor with an ego and a staffer with no previous experience acting both as head writer and director?
It's the kind of gamble not even a major studio would have taken, set in a genre that's largely dead even within Japan, and that was released just a year before RT was acquired by a studio looking to gut anything even remotely unprofitable. Normally GenLock would be just another failure if the voice cast wasn't so expensive, but here it was betting the house to buy a farm only to burn the house down
Agreed. Genlock’s failure crippled RT’s growth completely. It’s like giving a college football player steroids before the big game, but whoops there’s an air bubble and now he stroked out and can’t move half his body
I remember someone supposedly inside RT at the height of Gen Lock hype said that they were basically hoping Gen Lock was their huge new property so they could soft retire RWBY and RvB because all the fandom shit they didn't want was baked into that and they were hoping they could just become a "real" studio detached from their online mortal fans, no longer having to have QandAs and cons and stuff and getting to hang with the celebs and shit instead.
Basically they were hoping Gen Lock would let them boot out the web fandom people and make them big shot Hollywood types instead.
If this is true then they were suicidal and moronic
And frick them.
The only thing that would surprise me is if that started with GenLock.
As far back as RWBY 3-4, it always felt like they were running from their online origins and doing everything in their power to be viewed as 'legit' and that's a story that seemed to constantly play out with a lot of e-celebs who managed to rub shoulders with "industry" people as far back as Lucas Cruikshank. This desperate desire to be "legit"
>they were hoping Gen Lock would let them boot out the web fandom people and make them big shot Hollywood types
I remember the panel when they first announced GenLock (or at least gave info, can't remember) at AX 2018. People were waiting in line for that panel for hours and turns out it was for the thing that fricking killed their company.
>Don’t let any stupid office politics gossip distract you from that,
you dont get mistakes as bad as the one you pointed out without stupid office politics
It's genuinely Genlock. Everyone wants the their favorite thing that got ruined to be the cause but it's actually just Genlock.
over a decade of consistently piss poor managing and believing themselves to big too fail. they had an insanely big and loyal fanbase in the early 2010s and could do no wrong but years and years of idiotic decisions slowly but surely killed off the company.
It’s a modern take on Icarus
Isn't almost every major studio doing terribly right now? I keep hearing about how X studio is doing really badly and having to lay off employees, cancel projects etc.
Yes, but DC and Marvel can survive losing bajillion bucks because they have properties worth zillions.
Despite the image RT wanted to give off they are still nowhere near the big leagues, they are only a moderately big studio with 1 IP worth a damn, and even that is not close to enough to get them out of the hole they dug themselves into.
They made something good, got lucky, managed to parley that into ongoing success, then got too big and lost sight of what made them good. Happens to a lot of creators. You’re always on the clock.
Market changes and new things better
pretty easily, as it seems
Let me show you Enron, Netflix, IBM, DMC, The East India Trade Company..... The list goes on. No one stays on top forever
I always wonder if RT/AH was ahead of their time. They did the parasocial fandom years before it was perfected by modern day streamers and companies. I wonder if RT had been created nowadays they’d be much more successful, or if they had been smart enough to partner with twitch instead of trying to make their membership work.
They were way better at it than most bigger companies. People are forgetting that even within their projects like RWBY, fandom in-jokes and Achievement Hunter memes which could also be bought as t-shirts were woven into the shows.
The parasocial community aspect is a large part of why they were able to weather so many storms to begin with when so many of their shows were subpar by the late 2010s
>y'all
will absolutely not be missed
Rt is based in Texas they are allowed to say y'all
No they are not. It is not a white people word.
What is this Cinemaphile thing of trying to retcon "y'all" to have been used exclusively by black people? This is on the same level as trying to act like double-spacing is used only by Reddit users.
newbies
West coast thing. I was called out for saying yall in public once in Seattle. when the city filled with just white people wanted to teach me how that was evil cultural appropriation.
I hate Californians who say "y'all" to sound like hip black people too, but RoosterTeeth is literally based in Texas.
Last year they spent a good chunk of the event trying to drum up support for a new season of RWBY. Having a second event like that in a row would just be embarrassing.
>Last year they spent a good chunk of the event trying to drum up support for a new season of RWBY
Their problem is RWBY died with the haitus and V9 sucking didn’t help their case either. The show is obviously canceled, if it gets an ending it’ll probably be a novel like RH. I don’t even think the support hashtag went over big except for a few twittergays.
Rest in piss, bozos, you won't be missed.
I am surprised that they lasted this long given how many bad decisions they have made over the years.
RWBY sucks ass
RT is fricking shit
and Ruby is still the worst main character of all time
Based.
Lmao.
If there’s a reboot it’ll be a live action one most likely which would be shit and have even more forced diversity than the original. Unless Japan buys it, maybe they’ll do an anime reboot. Though I could see CR buying the original series and it possibly continuing.
>maybe they’ll do an anime reboot
If they do, I hope they give me picrel as endgame ship.
The live action reboot is Jaune pining after a dead black girl, for the rest of the show post beacon.
Hate it, it sounds cringe.
Based and true, IWXS.
Acceptable if the girl is hot with big booba
There is literally already and anime reboot.
I thought IQ was just an anime remake.
What’s the difference?
The first three episodes covers stuff from the original. After that it veers into an original story that kinda fits into the cannon.
Like 80% of it is original story.
I think IQ would have been great if it was shorter and didn't have them fail twice just to redo the mission again with a little more urgency. Stretching it out fricked it up. if it needed to be 12 episodes they could have spent more time on recap or did more with Jean's dream.
BIG NICHOLAS
Reboot RWBY please frick Rooster Shit
Imagine if they never did Genlock? They might still be profitable. Honestly, too many full time employees. People like Barb and Geoff getting full gigs and higher management positions where they are essentially nepo hires is an issue.
The complete and utter lack of any oversight of Gen:Lock is baffling. The fact that Gray was able to get away with everything he did while making that show is proof that figureheads like Burnie & Matt we’re doing frick all besides fricking random blondes and counting their money.
It’s over bros
Don't care, the show died with Pyrrha
I can save her
Frick, now I wish I had that webm of the execution scene from "Valkyrie" with the RT employee names over the characters.
Hope we still at least get the final season of RVB. Retconning the fun stuff isn't exactly what I wanted but at least we get more Church.
>Hope we still at least get the final season of RVB
I’m assuming since they announced it but I imagine it’ll be late 2025 the earliest since RT clearly can’t afford to make content any time soon.
Honestly I doubt the final season will be that good even with Bernie being back but we'll see.
Good riddance.
Don't care, just give me that new Camp Camp season
It's coming in March, probably will be the last we see how RT animation for a while if ever
Great. When it comes out we can rip it and be done with it.
I can't fricking believe with them losing money they made RWBY V9 the most expensive one yet, with entirely new settings and characters.
Someone should have told Barbara to shut her trap years ago.
In fairness it's a positive thing for them to be more transparent. A lot of the drop of between V8 and 9 might have been lessened if they actually told us what the frick was going on but their was complete radio silence.
But at the same time they usually come of as combative because no one at this shit heap company has any basic PR training at all.
Transparency has its issues. There’s no reason to financially support RT now knowing it doesn’t fund rwby
>we can’t continue to make things we want to make
Maybe if they didn’t waste all their time and money on other shit they wouldn’t be in this situation.
Like half of the live action stuff they make should have had that funding put into their animation department, you know the thing that they are known best for.
I mean, she's saying they have rarely if ever made money off their animation. Assuming that's true, why did they keep trying for over a decade? That's moronic.
By what metric does a web series even create profit? Are they talking about merch sales?
>one minute of RWBY costs $25-$30 grand
That cannot be true
It sounds like horseshit. Either that or money laundering
RT has to fund their employee’s coke addiction somehow.
I love how in the same breath as demonstrating how moronic the decision makers of her company are, she also castigates her audience for 'being clueless'. Holy shit LMAO.
I checked this against Glitch's budget per episode to see how cracked up this is. Glitch spends $200k - $300k USD per episode, an average episode roughly being about 20 minutes long. After crunching some math, Glitch's per minute costs are:
>$12k - $15kUSD
Is there any way RT could actually be spending more than double what Glitch spends per minute? This does not sound real. Maybe for big movie studios that's the case, but for smaller studios this seems unreasonable.
Probably going into the voice acting budget. They get some big names in their shows for literally no reason and some episodes can have 6+ characters speaking. They never went the indie route for sourcing voice talent once they "made" it and no longer needed to pull a random employee into the recording booth. Also as a series continues longer and longer, professionals know to renegotiate for a bigger paycheck since their character getting recasted is very unlikely
I highly doubt the VAs are expensive at all, they will charge an hourly rate that is most likely less than $100 and finish all their lines in less than a day.
>I checked this against Glitch's budget per episode to see how cracked up this is. Glitch spends $200k - $300k USD per episode,
56.3% more than an anime episode costs.
tbf, regardless of quality of writing or whatever, anime as an average always looks cheaper than western cartoons, with very stilted animations or an increasing use of truly bad CGI. This isn't a universal thing, and episodes are usually well-animated for the first three and then slide in QUALITY, but it's certainly a factor.
Japan has no worker's unions and everyone has a low salary except those at the very very top.
Would RT outsource to a Japanese studio to make a RWBY V10 for cheap?
I mean, I think Ice Queendom was largely an attempt to dip their toes in that water, but the audience they had cultivated wasn't that into anime.
So why the frick did they make that filler volume?
>Episodes are 14 minutes
>$25,000 - $35,000/minute
>Total episode cost: $350,000 - $490,000
RT is getting shafted.
Wonder what will happen to their shows, if they’ll get canceled or another network saves them. RWBY may get bought by CR but I wonder about the others.
That's absurd. They're definitely paying well over industry standard for a company their size.
How does that shit even cost that much
Don't forget it costs that much AND they still overwork and underpay their animation teams to the point it's a revolving door that's produced more ex-RWBY animators who have their own competing shows (to little success thus far) than it has produced RWBY episodes.
They can still have RTX, just not on a large scale they had over the last few years.
The first RTX only had 300 attendees and it was just a large pool party, tour of their studio, participation of an Immersion Episode (zombie horde mode) and rewatching some Red vs Blue seasons on a big screen. For 2024, they can do something similar to the first one.
They can’t afford it either way I don’t think
Is it over?
It’s really over now. If there’s a V10 this pretty much gives it away that CR will probably just end up buying the rights from RT and RWBY becomes CR exclusive.
>funded RWBY way past it’s prime
>won’t give us high guardian spice 2
It’s over yes
It's funny how Cinemaphile will watch 0/10 shows and somehow enjoy them. I appreciate your ability to keep shit down. It's legitimately impressive.
The girls of that show need more porn, they are sexo.
>The rant costed $100000
Epic
>CR gives money for RWBY
>Hasn't given money yet for another season
>Means either they don't have the money or the numbers weren't good enough
That said, you have to be pretty dumb to think financing a RWBY season was a good move. At the very least, they should have insisted in having some creative control along with exclusivity.
Honestly I could see CR buying the rights for a V10, and RWBY becomes a CR exclusive.
That can start a kickstarter like everybody else to fund the next season.
Nah, CR will end up buying it I think. If they’re willing to invest money in the show they’ll probably end up buying it from RT and RT won’t care because they want the money.
I wonder if they’ll keep the writers or use their own. This is pretty much the one time I think a large amount of a fanbase would be open to replacements.
I also wonder how well V9 actually did on crunchyroll though, they don’t show views or anything like that far as I know. If it didn’t do well enough to justify then CR might not buy it.
Imagine if WB uses the last volume as a tax writeoff after making it.
I hope they’d replaced MKEK but I don’t think CR would pick writers that are outstanding. I think it did alright on CR compared to their other shows from what I’ve read, and if they want more exclusive content buying RWBY is a good opportunity.
They really want to stream something they own themselves and after the awful response to their original shows, buying one with a pre existing fanbase would make sense.
I wouldn’t miss MKEK but yeah CR writers likely wouldn’t be good. Maybe even worse, somehow. MKEK would probably stay on to smooth out the transition/reception.
Either way the final few volumes would be a shitshow, but CR buying it is more likely to have the story completed and I agree they may like that they could get a new exclusive series that also has a fanbase.
RTX will join E3 soon. Screencap this post.
Why screencap something so obvious?
Question for the RWBY fans, which RWBY fan project will you follow or support now that RWBY is dead, and will get a book to end the plot at best?
>and will get a book to end the plot
Salem won.
i still cant get over the fact that its been 9 volumes and Salem has only gotten more powerful and there isnt even a vague sembalence of a plan for how to stop her.
It’s even worse than that. Ruby met the God that created the Gods that made Salem immortal, and she didn’t even bother to try and ask for a way to save her world.
she found out that she had a magical ability to kill grimm and never once put any real thought into much less ask about, so its par for the course for her.
I’m not surprised, every character became clinically moronic after V3.
It's why I stopped watching it. The setting has no hope and meanders too much.
Presumably the end plan is supposed to involve "Get all 4 relics and all 4 maiden powers together"
They've just really been no fricking closer to that goal since V4 started.
There were three more seasons planned so I’m assuming Raven would die and Yang would get spring, the rest of the maidens are easy enough to get into the same place. Either way it would’ve been been an asspull in true MKEK fashion.
Scarletverse
Cinder would succ Salem and be the final boss, anticlimactic fight against RWBY
Based.
>this
>evermorrow
How are RWBY fans more autistic about the series to continue making content than RT?
RT's astounding incompetence is how
Imagine when RT closes and all these talentless fricks put “10 years of marketing experience” on their resume and they have to explain what happened to RT
Someone explain
The Scarletverse is a Cinemaphile project originates in /trash/. So Adam and Cinder do the dirty, which causes Cinder to leave Salem because she was called a prostitute by her (and Neo). And some other pairings like Sunnybees (but only Yang gets monkey semen). We have a thread of our own in /trash/, and two fics in both AO3 and FFN. It's been going for six months I believe.
Interesting, what’s the fic called? Also sad you guys have made more than RT in recent months kek
The regularly updated one is RWBY: Seeds of Hope, Sins of the Past. The other is Roses Painted Scarlet.
True. Most of us seem to lack the money to comm.
Its dedication so far is impressive. But it needs porn art
There’s porn AI art and there was one drawing of a character nude from behind
>SJJL
Sjjjuelle?
Sigil.
Cinder should be able to kill them all as she is now. She only doesn't because they have plot armor and they've made her too much of a dumb b***h to consider just blasting them to death at any time.
She would’ve been the final boss though, Miles practically gave it away on a cameo. He said Cinder is supposed to be the least redeemable character on the show, she’s even worse than Salem
It certainly helps that Cinder actually does stuff while Salem just sits on her ass for most of the show.
I don’t even understand why Salem exists honestly
I mean, there’s been a few times Cinder should’ve died too. Her and RWBY both have an insane amount of plot armor.
The only time I saw her dying was after losing to Raven. I really wish that was her end since she only got worse from there.
I wish they would stop floundering and die already
>kills your entire company
>Yes, says small indie company Rooster Teeth, we can afford A-list actor Michael B. Jordan. Of course it'll be on budget don't worry about it.
>Michael B. Jordan at the height of his career
>David Tennant
>Dakota Fanning
>Maisie Williams when GoT was at the height of its popularity
Even back then I knew there was no possible way RT could afford this cast and turns out they couldn’t.
RT got what they deserved. They spent foolishly.
Unlike other mecha shows, this one is about the characters!
They produced one of the best cartoons I've ever seen, and it's a damn shame it wasn't more popular/better marketed. I didn't even know it existed until several years after it had already finished. Camp Camp genuinely has potential for wide audience appeal.
>bring it back to try and win back fans
>change a bunch of the VA for virtue signaling reasons and everyone hates it
hearty kek
This was really the only thing I actually enjoyed from them and I'm still foolishly waiting for a 5th season
I only cared for Camp Camp, never bothered with anything else they ever made.
Same. A shame people don’t like it for having “offensive” jokes despite being tamer than South Park and Family Guy
I love how Coeur proved there's a genuine case that writing JINO fanfics is more profitable than RWBY proper if the show is losing money.
Jaune should’ve been the MC. Maybe share that spot with Ruby to keep the title relevant.
Press S to spit in grave
What does this mean for death battle
Dead like everything else. Camp Camp in March will probably be the last thing of RT, I’ll be shocked if the final season of RvB sees the light of day.
S11 will probably be the final one.
They consume the remains of Rooster Teeth, as they did Screwattack, and float off to another media subsidiary.
i think death battle can stand on its own independently
also they get shit tons of views daily
You now remembered all the RWBY crossovers
I can't believe RWBY died on a filler fricking volume.
A filler volume in between two filler movies.
At least we got some neat Jessica Cruz tomboy scenes
Weiss thirsting for the Batwiener was funny. And RWBY looked good with their Hero costumes.
Jaune and Jessica having better chemistry than any canon couple in the main series was unironically the best part of the first film, which makes them dropping him out of the second one a damn shame.
Didn’t Jess have a scene where she asked “where’s Jaune!” And Ruby told her “it’s just us this time” to which Jess just checked out?
I just checked and that's pretty much spot on. When Ruby said "No, just us" Jess immediately looked like she'd just been told that she was going to die alone. It's weird that they'd acknowledge that they had great chemistry and then immediately let the fans down.
But that's Rooster Teeth for ya.
Yes.
>No Jaune in part 2
Rooster Shit really has lost their mind
Normally I would have been happy with less Jaune. At times, he feels more like a main character than Ruby. But the fact that he had a really good character arc with Jessica and then they just drop him for part 2 shows that RT doesn't even know good writing when it's looking them in the face.
To be fair both movies were written at the same time. I’m sure if JL2 wasn’t done when JL1 came out they would’ve rushed to add some Jaune and Jess scenes to JL2.
Damn, she really liked that guy.
I’ll never understand why they didn’t just go to Vacuo for V9, nothing even important happened in the volume. You could’ve just had Neo die in the V8 finale and have BY still happen in V9, as those are the only two things that would’ve been remembered.
They probably had much bigger plans for V9 but then Covid happened and RTs dominos just started to fall after that and by the time they got to making V9 they were kinda stuck with the Neverland shit because their entire main cast was there.
>They probably had much bigger plans for V9
So it's a good thing they didn't happen.
The leaker here flat out said V9 was supposed to be 12 episodes, but halfway through the season it got cut to 10 because RT couldn’t afford it which is why it was so rushed. RT being bankrupt shouldn’t be surprising to anybody.
Every season is a filler season.
I always thought RTX ended in 2020.
Oh well, a slow burn from them it is
>Probably going to be dead soon
?t=5
Hey remember how Roosterteeth lionized suicide three times in a row?
I do! Fricking he’ll Austin liberals projecting hard.
What?
RWBY Season 8, Genlock Season 2, RWBY Season 9.
So ruby drinks bleach in front of her team
and?
when
1. Would you rather frick Elm or Harriet?
3. Rank the happy huntresses in frickability/hotness
>1. Would you rather frick Elm or Harriet?
Harriet hands down. Love bald girls rather than juggernauts
>3. Rank the happy huntresses in frickability/hotness
1. Robyn of course
2. May (no homo)
3. Fiona
4. Joanna
Based.
>I'll take Elm, big girls are best girls
Based.
That a hard one man. I would gladly impregnate either, but I think I’d go with elm. Taller woman means my kid is taller. Your son should never be shorter than you.
Give me the speed ride
Was there a 2. or are you just bad at typing?
Anyway I'll take Elm, big girls are best girls
Don't remember all the Happy huntresses and can't be fricked to look them up so Sheep>the rest
harriet for frick
robyn > fiona > joanna > troony for happy huntresses
This should make it easier (censored for Cinemaphile)
God that is cursed
Haha what?
End of a legend
I'm fine with this. Rooster Teeth can die off for all I care. The female cast of RWBY have solidified themselves into internet porn culture. No more need for new official content, the artists and coomer fans can take it from here.
But there's no good doujins.
I'm watching Part 2 of the JL/RWBY movie right now and boy Black Canary's voice does not fit her. Who did they get for her VA?
>Hi y’all
Anyone who starts with that deserves death.
Good night and good fricking riddance.
Why am I not surprised
Only thing I cared about was RvB. Hard to think that they are making another season when as far as I currently know the bulk of the original cast is gone.
>even RvB autist doesn’t bother with RvB:Zero
I’ll honestly be surprised if the final season ever actually comes to fruition with the state of RT.
Yeah if it actually happens it’s definitely not going to be til like 2026 the earliest since they seem to be bankrupt
>as I currently know the bulk of the original cast is gone.
The only ones that are truly gone are Joel and Kathleen.
I am kind of hoping they at least try to get Joel back, like Caboose is irreplaceable to the show.
I like that they're trying to give it a proper send off at least. Nice way to bookend RT too.
Without the budget to animate, they may have to resort to the entire season being machinima to create within their means. I wouldn't mind a bit.
Will this help RWBY or at all? Or is RT being broke still going to be a problem https://variety.com/2023/biz/news/warner-bros-discovery-paramount-merger-talks-1235847958/amp/
RT still broke, they're fricked
Maybe they’ll outsource for animation if WB isn’t cooked
>Warner Bros. Discovery in talks to merge with Paramount Global
What if Nickelodeon saves RWBY?
Writing isn’t much better than a Nickelodeon sitcom so why the frick not
>RWBY Volume 10 Directed by Dan Schneider
If that means more foot scenes then fine by me
Imagine the porn
imagine all of the feet fanservice
>Miranda Cosgrove as Blake
>Jamie Lynn Spears as Yang
>Jennette McCurdy as Weiss
>elizabeth gilles as Ruby
>30 year olds playing teenagers
Seems about right for live action shows
#
Swap Miranda for Elizabeth and it's unironically perfect.
Also
>Ariana Grande as Nora
>Carlos Pena Vega as Jaune
>Victoria Justice as Cinder
RWBY was only good for porn.
RvB went to shit when it started taking itself seriously and focused on the creator's boring waifu.
Monty was overrated.
In the above post is the laziest, permafrosted redditor takes ITT.
Nah he's right. Frick this fake weebshit.
>More ice cold takes from 2016 plebbit
Damn bro, you a time traveler?
i'm.. pretty sure rooster teeth closed in 2017
>rooster teeth closed in 2017
What???
Why not just watch real anime instead of this American knock-off?
What are the chances RT is no longer a thing by 2025?
Seems like it’s all but guaranteed at this point.
God at one point I would probably feel bad for them... But shit that last season of RWBY was so fricking bad that it retroactively removes all good will I had for the series and anything related to it. I want roosterteeth to suffer and I will laugh.
its so good to see them fricking suffer knowing that 99% of those morons me years after years that I was wrong for saying their content suck.
FRICKING SUFFER NOW!
not surprising. They had RvB and RWBY. RvB is a zombie and the longer RWBY goes on, the more it's becomes impossible to not notice how bad the writing is
>the longer RWBY goes on, the more it's becomes impossible to not notice how bad the writing is
The last two volumes really showed this. Especially V9, it was laughably bad.
V5 was a good indication that MK had zero clue what to do with the story or the characters
V5 was definitely the worst overall I agree. It reminded me on V9 in many ways, nothing happened until close to the end of the volume and the finale was overall disappointing.
Honestly, as much as vol 5 is the worst one, I think vol 6 is largely the biggest warning sign RWBY ever had.
SHE WON. KNEEL.
Give this guy a round of applause (or a w for the zoomoids) for single handedly killing RT.
*Claps*
What a smooth criminal.
>single handedly
c'mon now. RT's death is a result of a thousand cuts of incompetence, his was just the deepest cut.
Why did he do Nomad of Nowhere dirty?
it sucks, I really liked Nomad, it genuinely felt like a good show that could have been played on a network.
Isn’t it Kerry’s fault? He pushed for those DC movies.
>wish that was her end since she only got worse from there.
This is the case for every character after the Beacon arc tbh.
Also it's funny they wasted their final rwby volume on filler. Longest hiatus for fillershit.
She really should have lost in the Vol 8 finale. She got bodied by Penny earlier but somehow beats Penny + RWBYJ
She also had Neo fighting RWBY for half the fight but Cinder just has plot armor regardless
A character's intelligence and fighting capabilities fluctuate, depending on who the writers want to win in a particular fight. That's how it is when your writers are hacks.
My understanding is that basically nobody outside the AH crew had any business being in charge of anything ever and whenever they eventually booted someone for being a full of themself idiot they'd just give one of their friends a promotion. All of their cartoons were massively over budget because nobody had any idea how things are supposed to be run.
Like I remember the behind the scenes videos for Arcane where in the early stages it was just a messy set of ideas that went through a ton of iterations because the people in charge were an animation crew and two guys from Riot that wanted to tell a story and that's basically every RT project except there was no stage where an executive came in and organized everything with industry veterans to fill the knowledge gaps.
>no stage where an executive came in and organized everything
I swear RT just doesn't understand the concept of an editor.
RT is full of morons
RT doesn’t understand anything.
Probably redditgays invading.
RVB> all their other dogshit shows.
>The cat was going to grab Weiss's dumbass braid and throw her.
Looks better than the actual fight
>imagine the porn from this
I hate how good this looks. There’s rarely this kind of choreography in the show anymore.
The fight choreography went to shit after Monty died
I'd say there have been a handful of decent post-Monty fight scenes that were enjoyable, even if they weren't up to his level, like Qrow vs. Tyrian, Neo vs. Cinder, and Maria vs. Tock.
Why don't they animate the whole show like this?
Who cares about WBY? Give me Jaune animatics!
RWBY depresses me. It had so much potential. Give the series to me and I'll do it ten times better.
What would you do anon?
For the RT situation in general?
Big online fandom culture isn't nearly as profitable as people like to think it is.
So let's go with a 2010s timeframe. The cases where it was successful involved the fandom successfully bringing the series to a larger audience by word of mouth.
Put RWBY on Netflix or HBO Max and completely nix RT FIRST, Crunchyroll isn't popular enough to actually give a big boost and a large chunk would scoff at it for not being Japanese, limiting it even further. RvB was losing steam by the mid 2010s, almost all of its fans were also RWBY fans, it gets it's nice little finale, then focus those resources to RWBY and smaller projects and the RT fandom sucked at this because the fandom itself had it's own lore.
What would you do for RWBY?
I'd eat a Klondike bar
It's not a stunning surprise to see the guys that genuinely had no idea how in the hell they got popular in the first place, make a shitload of mistakes that later tank the studio.
RWBY next https://www.reddit.com/r/roosterteeth/s/Vs6qyT2EFj
It’s over.
>Hey, guys. Remember me!
What were they thinking?
This is karma, can't say they will be missed. It ill be a relief if RWBY v10 is dead for good, after seeing how 7-9 turned out.
They get what they fricking deserve.
I'm a little disappointed. I loved their GTAV videos. Now who's funny enough to watch play GTAVI?
They still have jack michael geoff and occasionally gavin. Rotate the other dumbasses until you find 5-6 people who work well together and vet the shit out of them for no more ryans. It's not hard but I guarantee they won't do it
