Regarding this scene, does this imply that Ishabana has it's own language? I assume that would suggest that nuMoonSpeak is the hegemonic language in the planet.
You can see Dugded approaching Gira in the preview [...] so I guess it's like [...] said an it's a deal more like: >"If you guys manage to amuse me I promise to not genocide everyone... for now."
>okay you won't commit genocide against the bugnarok... but could you at least use racial slurs in daily conversation? pretty please?
holy shit I really did not realise this was him, his acting was crazy good then. The makeup probably helped too.
Has he been in Ultra yet? Either way he's having a great year >Blade 20YA stuff, finally got his King form >gets to be a general in Sentai
>be Jeramie >your parents are on the run due to a forbidden romance >neither humans nor Bugnarok want you >inadvertently create the propaganda that legitimizes Bugnarok oppression >your cousin goes mad with rage, becomes genocidal >your cousin gets killed just as he repents >finally get peace between the two races >get your people hated again to prevent a world war >mom returns after two thousand years, you have to kill her
The realization that Kamejim could probably just optic blast the entire cast dead in a second is the cherry on top of this entire season being turbofricked for our cast
>Grodie isn't actually one of the generals, just someone Kamejim hired for an inevitable betrayal >The actual 5th Jester finally returns and it becomes apparent that there's going to be a three way conflict >The 5th jester is actually KING
I think I'd have bought his edgelord act better if he had a kaijin suit like the rest of the galactic jesters. He's not terrible, but he comes off as an edgy try-hard rather than an imposing villain.
The episode gave us lots of to love about it but I think my favorite part was pic related. It's little things like this that really sell the characters and their relationships.
I'm sure it will come back at a climactic moment for effect, but Gira really did change after realizing what it meant to be a king and that the best person he can be for his people is himself instead of acting like someone else.
>Since Gordy is too much of a fricking pig to die, what Lady Karras meant with 'watching him until the end' was 'sealing him in an ice coffin'. >Kamejim 2 managed fo find out the doctor guy, and killed him, then proceeded to break the ice coffin, releasing Gordy and Lady Karras. >Gordy, who has the power to revive the dead and turn them into zombies did so to Lady Karras, leading the freezing of Ishabana. in fact, this is the same thing he did with the Fury of the gods, by zombifying the cicada shugod graves in bugnarok lands.
>and apparently 'i will take you to fricking hell with me' is actually an adorable thing to say between girls.

Are we forgetting that Dugded also summoned the same massive swarm but on an even larger level?
The Bugnarok are innocent and it's likely they just feasted on whatever corpses were around from an incident similar to the Fury of the Gods
now that IS a good point. we did saw the spacebugs do have their own cicada army, so why did Gordy decided to use corpses from the bugnarok graves instead of their own? possibly a bit of a script flub, but i wouldnt bother that much with it, Gordy's bugs are frozen and the spacebug bugs are gonna be swatted anyway.
the cicadas were definitely summoned by Dug Diggaddome, since they came from space too. there was also the PRESENTATION! element since the ones at shuggoddam gathered and 'transformed' into Digdug shortly after.
theres the possibility that he was aware of the Wotg and decided to use the imagery of the cicadas as to frighten the populace more.
So, uh, why did they have to go through with this at all last episode? To avoid telling everyone that one of the generals can influence people and lead them into a panic? Something they were already doing anyway? What is wrong with saying that one of the generals attacked their retainers and did something to turn them against their kings but it wasn't their fault? How did they even know she would turn the effect off after being given a show? It's not like the kings couldn't just have Jeramie explain what happened since he met her, unless "Don't be mean to me." also means he can't speak against her at all, but in that case then Kamejim can just testify since he's not influenced.
I even skimmed through the episode again after finishing it and I still don't understand why any of this was necessary. If making Jeramie and the Bugnarok the enemies is what breaks their various influences then how did that stop any of the "They are your enemies" infuence since it would just force it onto Jeramie and the few people who were influenced should still all be under her control? Even if diplomatic relations fell apart the kings coming together and telling you the exact truth on live TV should work for pretty much everyone in getting them to see reason considering you're placing all your faith on them for information and they're completely friendly with each other still. Half the things that happened were because they were out for a week and pinkie influenced less than a handful of citizens in each country to our knowledge.
>I even skimmed through the episode again after finishing it and I still don't understand why any of this was necessary.
It wasnt necessary at all and hyper moronic beyond belief despite them witnessing god casually rain meteors down on earth a day before and orbital nuke a localized wrath of gods. Somehow they all got dragged into Jeremy's theatrics that they were all against to begin with.
Dont think too hard about it.
>What is wrong with saying that one of the generals attacked their retainers and did something to turn them against their kings but it wasn't their fault?
Because they wouldn't buy it. Hirubiru's power is not so much as mind control as it is strong suggestion. She essentially told the citizenry to act on their prejudices. The nations of Chikyuu, it turns out, still mistrust each other deeply. If the kings told the public that the reason Sebastian attacked Kaguragi really was the pink alien they saw recently, they wouldn't believe it because they're already convinced that it was those fricking Ishabanis. In fact, that declaration was probably Kaguragi-sama being extorted by Ishabana to lie in public.
So when Jeramie and Gerojim take the blame, it's easier to assimilate, because humans are still inclined to hate Bugnarok, in spite of what that lady in the body swap episode said. They're working with prejudice as opposed to against it.
>pinkie influenced less than a handful of citizens in each country to our knowledge.
Eh, I think we're supposed to take the few people we see Hirubiru talking to as stand-ins for the average citizen.
>She essentially told the citizenry to act on their prejudices
Sure, but we're not shown that this is widespread across Terra, it's only shown to be in a handful of people since we don't see many people revolting at all, just the ones she directly influenced. You have some people in the government doing stuff as a reaction to other stuff (Like Toufu sanctioning everyone) because their kings are indisposed for now, but as far as we were shown it's mainly because of a few bad actors and because their retainers are also under arrest they can't contain it. If you had both the kings and the retainers come front and center and address Terra there's no reason why they wouldn't listen, because then the kings could just force those who started the mess they're in to be punished for whatever reasons they want.
The people wouldn't even have a reason to distrust the other countries at that point because, what, the other five countries are extorting your country for peace and you're extorting all of theirs in exchange? It's not like the focus is being put on one country for peace, all of them would be asking for peace.
Eh, I think we're supposed to take the few people we see Hirubiru talking to as stand-ins for the average citizen.
what no it isn't simple suggestion nor bringing out "innate prejudice" otherwise the jeramie fight wouldn't make sense
It's her influencing people through terms she sets, she just uses the "Innate prejudices" thing for one of them as an explanation, she's not doing that specific one to all of them. What the other guy is saying is that she did it to more people.
IMO, this solution was necessary because theoretically nothing stops Hillbilly from just doing it all over again. Hillbilly's plan was to push all the countries towards inner conflict by making them attack 'the enemy', the King-Ohger's solution was to control who that 'enemy' was so they can break the control she had within her own mandates. Jeramie just decided to take it all upon himself and the Bugnarok rather than let the other kings take the blame, minimize the damage, but the reason they can't just explain 'you were all being mind-controlled' was because that wouldn't stop the influence Hillbilly already had nor would it stop her from doing it again until they found an enemy the people could unite against and defeat it, which Jeramie took the fall for.
Hillbilly can still control people but now she doesn't have something so exploitable she can use again, or if she ever tries to Jeramie has established himself as 'the enemy' that can provide an out to Hillbilly's attempt to stir in-fighting. She'll have to get more creative in the future.
>theoretically nothing stops Hillbilly from just doing it all over again
Dagded can, and that's in fact the reason she and the dude before that lost their turns
But the issue here is that even this solution would be easily influenced again. She could go "They did it once, what if they do it again?" in regards to shutting off power, medical service, or food supplies. This doesn't really stop her from still doing what she wants, it just needlessly vilifies Jeremie when they could easily cause the general public to trust in their actions and expose it being a Galactinsect plan.
We also aren't shown that everyone was influenced, only a small few, and those small few spread to be a bigger amount entirely because the retainers weren't there. If the retainers were to be shown alive, with the kings, and being exonerated then what happens? There's only a handful of people that we know of that are even sewing doubt and discontent in people, and that's entirely because of fear. At some point Dagded would just call it off because she's getting nowhere with her plan and being boring to him, and he already wasn't too happy when Jeremie took the fall here.
she can literally mind control another leader and new conflict will happen immediately, Jeramie in a grand scale stops nothing if Hilbill is allowed to continue her gimmick
I mean, she CAN do it again and render the whole setup useless, but so can Goma do his trick again and bodyswap the kings with Gokkan prisoners or whatever. But that's kind of besides the point since in the situation they are in Dugded could just flick a meteor their way and destroy the whole planet, they are not really in a situation they can meaningfully fight back long-term, just put down each immediate crisis that shows up.
Yeah it wasn't really her mind control that fully drove the incident. It kickstarted things, but really it just awoke that post-war fervor and paranoia that would come after defeating the enemy and wondering where the next one will be.
Theoretically they could've just waiting things out for a new generation of kings that didn't fight alongside Jeramie and have the Chikyu destroy itself without any intervention.
she can literally mind control another leader and new conflict will happen immediately, Jeramie in a grand scale stops nothing if Hilbill is allowed to continue her gimmick

And here I thought the Naruto references ended at Geats.
Takano said he's pulling from Jump manga and already mentioned Hunter X Hunter and One Piece by name in an interview and the Naruto stuff is self evident. I wonder what other series he's looked at.
They don't really have anything that can actually hurt Digdug
And the only reason he's let them live this long instead of throwing everything he has at once to exterminate them all at once is if they are entertaining
If they can distract him by acting like dumbasses they can buy themselves another day
You can see Dugded approaching Gira in the preview
so I guess it's like

Grody is ___
yeah on that angle I can see the tachibananana face
Murakami Erica is a crazy good actress
For real. That scene where she held Rita was amazing.
Karras, what the frick? That's a responsibility no child should ever have to bear.
It's Gokkanian culture, anon.
There we go, I thought this ep would be moffunless
;_____;
Regarding this scene, does this imply that Ishabana has it's own language? I assume that would suggest that nuMoonSpeak is the hegemonic language in the planet.
Wouldn't Shuggoddamese be the lingua france? You can't expect a former pleb like Gira to know a second language.
Yeah, that's what I meant. The language of Shuggoddom seems to be the lingua franca of Terra while other countries have their own language.
>okay you won't commit genocide against the bugnarok... but could you at least use racial slurs in daily conversation? pretty please?
*kamen rider blade stinger ost*
evil harry potter tachibana really did his role so well
holy shit I really did not realise this was him, his acting was crazy good then. The makeup probably helped too.
Has he been in Ultra yet? Either way he's having a great year
>Blade 20YA stuff, finally got his King form
>gets to be a general in Sentai
>Has he been in Ultra yet?
No he has not. But, I do hope he does soon.
ALL GLORY TO GOKKAN
>looked like a rita episode
>was actually a himeno episode
fine by me
So the Fury of the Gods was Grodie reanimating those corpses in the Bugnarok mass graves?
yeah
>jeramie is going to have to kill her mom next week
Being Jeramie is suffering
>be Jeramie
>your parents are on the run due to a forbidden romance
>neither humans nor Bugnarok want you
>inadvertently create the propaganda that legitimizes Bugnarok oppression
>your cousin goes mad with rage, becomes genocidal
>your cousin gets killed just as he repents
>finally get peace between the two races
>get your people hated again to prevent a world war
>mom returns after two thousand years, you have to kill her
No Sentai character has suffered more.
jeramie showed despair way more than that prostitute from gotchard
>calling a child a prostitute because she acts bad
hmmmm
anon the actual kid in that show showed more emotion than the lead female
but this is not the place for that
Jeramie is experiencing Rider levels of personal suffering.
He also umplied he went through a lot after living so long that we don't know about.
Is Grodie actually unkillable or is he just the same as the other generals?
He's a necromancer who can't die so yeah different
The realization that Kamejim could probably just optic blast the entire cast dead in a second is the cherry on top of this entire season being turbofricked for our cast
Does Dugded actually know Grodie or is Kamejim bullshitting him?
>Grodie isn't actually one of the generals, just someone Kamejim hired for an inevitable betrayal
>The actual 5th Jester finally returns and it becomes apparent that there's going to be a three way conflict
>The 5th jester is actually KING
yeah this is the best toku i've ever watched
super hero time magnum opus
those glasses are really carrying how freaky he looks
for me it's the lipstick
Erica is so cute bros
>when you cant get your calibur up
I think I'd have bought his edgelord act better if he had a kaijin suit like the rest of the galactic jesters. He's not terrible, but he comes off as an edgy try-hard rather than an imposing villain.
its a bunch of worms controlling a corpse, so it is a kaijin suit in a way
like dagduasdgte being the water bear in the head piece
The episode gave us lots of to love about it but I think my favorite part was pic related. It's little things like this that really sell the characters and their relationships.
I'm also so glad that he's mostly dropped the evil king act. Nice Guy Gira is great.
I'm sure it will come back at a climactic moment for effect, but Gira really did change after realizing what it meant to be a king and that the best person he can be for his people is himself instead of acting like someone else.
so... what did we learned today:
>Fury of the Gods was the Bugnarok's fault all along
Goroge did nothing wrong.
Are we forgetting that Dugded also summoned the same massive swarm but on an even larger level?
The Bugnarok are innocent and it's likely they just feasted on whatever corpses were around from an incident similar to the Fury of the Gods

Probably because Gordy is obsessed with death and if you got corpses lying around, may as well use them.
It fits his character to "recycle" life
Was that Dugded summoning them? I thought it was just the shugods of the world having a collective freakout. Kuwagon was afraid too.
the cicadas were definitely summoned by Dug Diggaddome, since they came from space too. there was also the PRESENTATION! element since the ones at shuggoddam gathered and 'transformed' into Digdug shortly after.
theres the possibility that he was aware of the Wotg and decided to use the imagery of the cicadas as to frighten the populace more.

Don't think about it too much, for much of the series the authors preferred emotional solutions rather than logical solutions.
>I even skimmed through the episode again after finishing it and I still don't understand why any of this was necessary.
It wasnt necessary at all and hyper moronic beyond belief despite them witnessing god casually rain meteors down on earth a day before and orbital nuke a localized wrath of gods. Somehow they all got dragged into Jeremy's theatrics that they were all against to begin with.

seems like they're all playing games
They are only safe and didn't get pushed over the edge for now because they still have entertainment value for the space bug god.
>just put down each immediate crisis that shows up
Only because they are allowed to

Sex with Hymeno.
I'm trying to watch this series now, when does it get good?
Episode 1 - 00:00
Since episode 1
Super cute bonding. I want Himeno and Rita to watch the hit television series Moffun & Me while cuddling together on a big Moffun pillow.
Depends on how you feel about political intrigue, backroom dealings, and all that. I personally hated it but I'm glad I stuck it out because the show has gotten so much better in my opinion.
Sound:
Here's those webms I promised a few days back. Time sort of got away from me. I didn't see anything in 30 I wanted so let me know if you want something.
>I didn't see anything in 30 I wanted so let me know if you want something.
total scalper death
You're right, good idea.
Sound:
>tfw life as a TCG fan
can you upload the moment right after that with Rita and Ran bonding over wanting to murder people and taking them to hell with them?
Sound:
thanks, bro!
seriously, no matter how cute your waifus are, this conversation they are having is all levels of wrong.
Sound:
Sound:
Sound:
Kinda dissapointed he looks human, while all the other guys are weird aliens. I like him so far though.
The more human actors, the best.
Regarding "Hirubill could just do it again", she won't. Dugded wants to be entertained. He will not authorize the same shit that failed before because he wants novelty.
>Dugded is literally watching super sentai every week just to be entertained like a kid (look at all the kid shit around his space cube, like the swing)
>Gira was playing an evil king to be entertained as a kid and used it as a mask as a king until he found his footing as a king
>Jeremie had to pretend to be an evil king to unite the world against him
How many layers of pottery are we on?
He's a master potter
We can add further layers by making Gira's tyrant act come full circle and become real to use tyranny and racism to bring permanent peace to the world.
Even further pottery when Racles comes back and reveals he did it all to try and save the world from dagadaga
>Dugded is literally watching super sentai every week just to be entertained like a kid (look at all the kid shit around his space cube, like the swing)
It's like the sponsor shit in Geats but not awful
Geats did it better
>Geats X better
(You)
Takahashi is the master and Minato is the pupil.
You know now that I think about it, this series has been pretty subdued with the mech action after the first handful of episodes. We've had entire arcs go by without some form of King-Ohger being formed.
Do you think Digdug will be redeemed in the end and use his powers for good? Or will he be a homicidal lost cause that must be destroyed?
Even after all the bad shit Dethnarok did, I really wanted to see him get to see his people be free.
For a split second when the reveal that the whole Fury of the Gods was because "lol for no reason I just love death" I was mad but then ANOTHER split second later it's revealed "oh it's just more Dujardin bullshit" and I was happy with it
KARAS!?!??
>timeskip
>almighty endgame alien villains from outer space
>keikaku puppet masters controlling keikaku puppet masters controlling keikaku puppetmasters
>false history and racism planted by villains to stir shit up
>crazy hooded guy with glasses controlling reanimated corpses (sometimes of deceased loved ones)
>EYEHAX
And here I thought the Naruto references ended at Geats.
Takano said he's pulling from Jump manga and already mentioned Hunter X Hunter and One Piece by name in an interview and the Naruto stuff is self evident. I wonder what other series he's looked at.
>Frozen Scales of Justice
>Scales

Do they really have time to be fooling around when they have impending planetary destruction right around the corner?
They don't really have anything that can actually hurt Digdug
And the only reason he's let them live this long instead of throwing everything he has at once to exterminate them all at once is if they are entertaining
If they can distract him by acting like dumbasses they can buy themselves another day
You can see Dugded approaching Gira in the preview
so I guess it's like

>"If you guys manage to amuse me I promise to not genocide everyone... for now."
The little crumbling facade detail is neat.
A visual plea
