the new model looks better technically, but he looks more like some kinda gay fashion designer, as opposed to 'kinda good looking fella in school'
the old model made him look like he wasnt the ultimate highschool sweetheart, just the boy violent happened to have a crush on
new one almost looks like he's supposed to be 'the guy' that every girl shrieks over yknow?
Both are fine. I personally like the new model better but it isn't a major improvement or anything and I can completely understand someone preferring the old model.
He lost his gains. It would have been fine with the new head if they didn't make him so skinny.
The far bigger issue with Incredibles 2 art direction is that it feels, with the new characters especially, that they just straight up forgot that it was set in the early 60s to hone in on the more homogenised 3D animation look that has consumed modern Disney (and Illumination).
whos this character and what is he supposed to be? he looks like a modern day college student, please tell me he at least represents some kinda oddity in the film, like a singular pretentious art hippie or something, and isnt just supposed to be a regular modern day joe

>whos this character and what is he supposed to be?
That's Voyd. Its suppose to be a woman
>That's Voyd.
If you watched the first movie you'd know that Frozone and Bob are the last of the premier supers alive. Syndrome brutally murdered all the rest.
The new Supers are underwhelming because they're all that's left. The dregs of the barrel not even worth killing. You're not meant to be awed by them.
The problem is in general Incredibles 2 art lacks the same spark and soul of the original. A common issue with any Disney sequel.
my issue with the new heroes is that they look way too cartoony. Before all the heroes had semi realistic body shapes, at least not THAT crazy. But the new ones are all weirdly proportions with weird facial features.

I think it's an improvement on Tony. They should have kept Violet a little more haggard. The idea being that she's gone from being a lonely NEET (shrinking violet) to being more confident and outgoing. It's not an instantaneous process, and there would be some time that she's not going to look on the outside who she wants to be on the inside. I think that was a good stylistic choice in the movie.
It's from the Incredibles 2. It replayed some of the scenes from the last few minutes of the first movie, as it continues directly after that(which is still a moronic decision in my opinion. The underminer scene was not suppose to be a sequel hook, but a "and the adventure continues" deal)
I would be interested in seeing the original with the improved lighting in the second movie. I feel like that pulls a lot of the weight in the sequel's visuals.
The original looks like it was rendered in Gary's Mod. It has a sort of charm to it.
the original does not look THAT bad, it's just this characters who looks a bit off, all the main characters look completely fine, as well does the special effects and all that.
They're both good for different reasons.

They replaced him utterly, I mean the new model looks better but it's definitely not the same individual anymore

They turned him into a twink.
He looks better. She looks worse.
The guy's face looks way better on the right but they should have kept his old body.
Incredibles 1 humans looks ugly but charming
Incredibles 2 humans look pretty but soulless

i see
All the new heroes looked like high fructose corn syrup based children's snack mascots. Fruit Roll Up color schemes.

They should have made him even bigger.
Left was ugly.
Look at the difference in shading, texturing, and lighting! Holy balls, that's some good renderman shit right there

What am I looking at? Did they remake The Incredibles?
The Remastered Edition made him look more like Toby McGuire.

Oh, I see. I never bothered with Incredibles 2. Incredibles itself was okay but I didn't care to see more.
They made her eyebags bigger??
That's a bad thing?

It’s more like the original looks like what the second one looks like, but pre-rendered (as in, what you say while working on the animation software).
