Yes you dumb sack of shit because guess what? Jack going back in time essentially eradicates all his friends from existence (along with trillions of other innocent lives) and essentially makes all the work he did in the future completely moot. If the best argument for Jack returning to the past is that he is ending suffering in the past to the future well then there is literally no reason for him to ever stop and help others on his quest to return to the past as they'll all be essentially aborted the moment he defeats Aku in the past. Jack unironically killed every one of his friends in the future because of this overbearing shame for his past defeat. The entire first half of season 5 is Jack coming to terms with the fact that it's alright he failed in the past because he has made major successes in the future against Aku. That should have been the whole fricking point of the series, to not be stuck in the past but to look towards the future and that's exactly how the season 5 is framed until a bullshit deus ex machina that doesn't even make sense.

Samurai Jack's ending wasn't kinda fricked because the most fitting ending would be that he learns to live with his failures and mistakes, defeats Aku and lives in the future.
But Akus reign was such a horrific nightmare it's just too depressing, his family being slave labored to death and a million other atrocities so that doesn't work either.
At the very least he could have not killed off Ashi, I don't know.
He gave Dexter's Lab a good finale and made Clone Wars tho
