I haven't watched panels shows in years, even though as a Eastern Euro I used to enjoy them quite a lot pre- and shortly after Brexit (8oo10c, 8oo10cDC, the Big Fat Quizes). It was from 2011 to around 2015. The London Olympics was probably the last moment of British cultural pride that harkened back to the glory days of Cool Brittania. The country felt more united. Around the time I stopped watching these shows I became more disillusioned with everything (MSM, entertainment), and after Locke's death I decided to check out one of the quizes, and it was pretty depressing. Faces I don't recognize, Carr looking noticeably older, audience felt more normie, and they were talking about things I didn't know much about (Love Island, Black Mirror).
