I won't speak for anyone else, but I have several problems with season four. The tone of the show is so different it feels like they just rewrote a script originally written for a completely different show. It took a weird left turn from a young adult sci-fi show into just literally Nightmare on Elm Street. The Upside Down got changed from mirror universe with monsters to the cover of a Dio album. They keep splitting the kids up, which means that in four seasons of a show that's supposed to be about a group of best friends, I don't think we've ever seen them actually work together; they're either split up because they're fighting over girls, possessed by monsters, or living on the other side of the country. The fact that Joyce and Hoppers stories were split into two, and now Eleven is training apart from everyone else means there's five concurrent stories, and even with the extra episode of each episode this season, every episode seems to somehow feel simultaneously rushed and dragged down. They were already pushing it by having a D story with Hopper in prison, but no show needs to have a goddamn E story. Especially since we know the way the show works, and the A through E stories will all converge either in the last or second to last episode.

It is going to be the same shit as in season 2, she is absent from the main plot for the whole season, only shows up in end of the penultimate episode, and then saves everyone in the final.

It is like DBZ, the Namek saga is all about Kuririn, Gohan, and Vegeta outsmarting the stronger opponents, two thirds through the arc Goku shows up and everybody else gets sidelined in favor of him.

I've loved the song my whole life, with it sometimes bringing tears just from listening, and i basically tear up when any kind of emotional music is used well in shows and movies, even if nothing really sad is happening.
Yet this scene did nothing for me, precicely because the music seemed so badly placed it was off-putting. Some changes in volume or starting it 5 seconds later or something could have fixed it. It felt like every emotional peak in the song happned during dialogue while the more down parts of the song synced with the emotional movement in the show. Kinda the opposite of what you want. Idk how to explain it but i'm the easiest person to give the feels when it's done even remotely well, and i felt nothing

I've loved the song my whole life, with it sometimes bringing tears just from listening, and i basically tear up when any kind of emotional music is used well in shows and movies, even if nothing really sad is happening.
Yet this scene did nothing for me, precicely because the music seemed so badly placed it was off-putting. Some changes in volume or starting it 5 seconds later or something could have fixed it. It felt like every emotional peak in the song happned during dialogue while the more down parts of the song synced with the emotional movement in the show. Kinda the opposite of what you want. Idk how to explain it but i'm the easiest person to give the feels when it's done even remotely well, and i felt nothing

I watched Stranger Things Season 1 back in 2016 and it was a solid 7/10. I enjoyed it but didn't really want anymore.
