wtf why is ruby a vtuber, when did roosterteeth do this?
this is the kind of shit that jumps on you when you start to completely ignore the creators from the creation.
They did not invent the concept. That honor would go to Max Headroom.
But in all seriousness the idea of using a virtual avatar version of a character from a fictional property, as a concept has been used long before Roosterteeth did it. Heck there are "vtubers" who predate Kizuna AI, even though she is treated as the one to start the trend./spoiler]
>on a "hill" overlooking the paper village in the background
Seems like an odd choice, considering this is the exact spot where the homophobic Ruby meme happened. I would have thought RT would be making efforts to avoid anything that could be associated with that.
what do the voice actors, writers, and, just in general, long time showrunners at rt really think of this i wonder. Are alarm bells ringing in their heads at how desperate this is? maybe actual despair that over ten years of work on rwby and this is where its ended up? maybe they dont care cause its a paycheck and its what the kids are into. but there used to be something more than that in this series. the future looked so bright once
all the old hands' minds have been warped with time and anyone new that joins is already fricked up mentally from the get go. say what you will about the guy who died during vol 3, but even if he had lived the show would've ended up in a similar place anyway.
rwby itself was a great idea, but it was the ones who thought of this idea would ruined it.
then again anything that was shit could have been better if better writers had it instead so I'm not really saying that much here
It's not really much of an idea so much as a series of thin premises for cute anime girls fighting things. As for Monty, I'm not sure if the show would be better or worse if he still lived, but the path of the show would be different at least, if only because his autism would've inevitably derailed the plot at a couple points.

The only thing we know from "leaks" is that they are cuddling in some place.
Aside that, the villains are some RWBY game villain and Lex Luthor.
No, they're still making the fans beg WB on Twitter for them.
>they're still making the fans beg WB on Twitter for them.
I see... thanks.
Well at least RWBYxJustice League Part 2 is confirmed for October.
I wouldn’t expect V10 news until after JL2 releases, I think CR/RT is waiting to see how well the movie does before making the final decision. I’m leaning towards there will be no V10 but if there is I would bet money it’ll be the last volume and a complete rushjob to have somewhat of a proper ending.
RWBY is utterly dead, and in my opinion it was dead on arrival. A stillborn franchise. If a reboot ever occurs in the hands of competent writers they should scrap everything, and only keep the style and feel of the early seasons. Any lore or plot points or worldbuilding from current RWBY should just be thrown out.
It had nothing going for it beyond style and idk "soul" because it was clearly made with love and passion. But thats just not going to carry it all the way. Its story is dogshit its characters are bland as hell, its themes are nonexistent until Roosterteeth decided to have Ruby an hero herself, its worldbuilding is a dumpster fire, its tone is bizarrely grimdark
>and in my opinion it was dead on arrival. A stillborn franchise.
RWBY's popularity exploded with the four trailers, especially the Red and White ones. RT and Monty never expected it to grow so popular and so fast. RT and the writers had many golden opportunities, the right ingredients to make something epic, but fricked up with their ineptitude and lack of planning.
I wonder if CRWBY regrets everything after the timeskip. RWBY in the main serious is so depressed and serious all the time. But in literally anything else (Chibi, games, this Vtuber shit) she’s back to her genki V1-3 personality. Seems like they kinda miss writing her that way, but never get the opportunity to in the actual canon show.
the series used to be fun and actually funny. i rewatch random episodes of seasons 1-3 time to time but for the life of me i dont want to rewatch anything past that. they leant way too hard on the angst and dour mood and game-of-thrones-lite scheming and factions and everything. show used to just be about cute girls fighting monsters in cool action scenes. sometimes thered be melodrama. i havent watched the last two volumes but having jaune kill penny and ruby commit suicide is just ridiculous shock
The timeskip, or at least having the teams separate after that for two volumes, was a mistake but RWBYJ and Neo falling into the EA absolutely killed the show. It’s fricking insane we waited two years for a filler volume that served zero purpose other than MKEK finally being able to finally write off Neo without killing her to avoid backlash and making BY canon.
>Last week the official Crunchyroll vtuber had a 2 hour stream playing the Sims with the official RWBY vtuber
Is this the best confirmation we have that V10 might still be happening? If it is, holy shit that's pathetic.
That guy was obsessed with Ruby that he convinced himself that if he got older, it could be possible to Ruby will be a real person with future technology, and even “ cheated” Ruby with having sex a real life girl then got depressed over it.

It makes me laugh every now and then. Besides I didn't say i watched alot of it- it just happened to be the last non rwby thing i watched. Might get chat gp to come up with a taahm/rwby crossover
>Why in the year 2023 are you watching Two and a Half Men?
Why not?
2 and a 1/2 men is way better than most tv shows that came out in the 2020s let alone 2023.
Unless you're a homosexual, POC or feminist there's no point in watching anything new.
Haven't finished the anime (left off around ep 25-30) but Ruby might have the technical skill it takes to learn how to pilot the Gundam. She'd cope with killing other people worse than Amuro does though, to the point where she'd probably breakdown completely. I honestly don't know what WBY+JNR do here besides stay on the ship. They'd crush in any infantry engagements, but mech weapons, tanks, and jets blow them to smithereens. Maybe Ozpin knows how to pilot a mech, so Oscar might slide into Guntank or Gun Cannon from time to time.
Then again, they could get the crew of Whitebase killed since they follow orders worse than Amuro does.
It only counts because I tried to find the series on Netflix today, and only found the movies instead.
>She'd cope with killing other people worse than Amuro does though, to the point where she'd probably breakdown completely. I
Ruby let a bunch of White Fang goons die on the train, crippled Cinder and Tyrian and fights with a weapon that can maim and kill. Killing has never been a major issue or even theme in RWBY and I don't know why some morons act like Ruby wouldn't be able to kill someone she deemed evil enough.
Honestly, I wasn't aware she's ever consciously killed people before. I don't think she's Naruto, she wouldn't hesitate to kill Cinder or Tyrian, but my thinking was that a war against soldiers is a bit different. But yea, now that you say it, I think I've underestimated her willingness to kill.
There is a ton of incidental death in the early volumes. It's never explicit and always glossed over because of the tone, but those frickers that fell off the train are definitely dead. V1-3 Ruby stacks faunus bodies like she's the second coming of General Legune (competent).
Can’t they just say their auras protected them? The fact that breaking aura was treated as a serious plot device in V3 implies that it didn’t really happen in the previous volumes.
Anonymous
Do they even have their auras unlocked? I was always under the impression only the big honchos had unlocked aura.
Regardless though, some of those who fell off the train were going to be swarmed by the Grimm coming into the tunnels, so at the bare minimum they sentenced them to death-by-grimm.

>Star Trek
Suffice it to say, they'd be either be vaporised within two episodes, or they'd be subject to better adventures and more character growth in one season than they have in the past 6 volumes.
They'd also have a significant one-up on most of the station security forces.
'O Brien would still suffer.
>Star Wars
They'd do alright. They're basically Jedi without particular Force abilities, but they get to have aura shielding and whatever bullshit their semblances bring to the table. Give Ruby access to their weapons technology and she's going to be a monster.
>Haruhi
They'd make a fun side character squad. I don't think they'd fit in well with the SOS Brigade though. My second most recent thing would be more interesting. >DBZ
Could they beat Raditz?
I keep wondering whose idea it was to make the crossover movies, and why split the animation team? Thanks to that, volume 9 was postponed a lot, and had its budget cut, which led to it being 2 episodes shorter. It would have been fine if the crossover project had been produced by a different studio, but with the same writers and voice actors. The fans are still hoping for volume 10. I take it Warner Bros are waiting for the second crossover movie to be released first, and see how successful it is. Then they can decide on volume 10, and the future of the show. But honestly, I don't think we're getting volume 10. If we are lucky, the volume will instead be done with a novel.
i can't articulate it rn but this crossover idea is just weird as frick. 1. rwby isnt well known to the average person. 2. rwby fans would prefer anime crossover than american comics crossovers. like batman and tmnt works well cause theyre the same genre. they work off each other aswell. its a similar setting and you get the turtles lax attitude to crime fighting and familial relationship contrasted with batmans loner stoicism, plus all the villains teaming up- thats kinda fun. with rwby i can't imagine any sort of interesting chemistry between justice league and team rwby. they're all so agreeable and 'just want to do good' and its like what will they even do? kill grimm for an hour? I'm not even sure that rwby got proper characterisation in their own series. I'll have to see the film but im not keen on what ive seen of the comics at least
It was the out-of-touch higher-ups' idea. RT's most popular property with WB's most popular property is guaranteed profit (supposedly)

>rwby fans would prefer anime crossover than american comics crossovers.
I wouldn't. I'd rather see Ruby with Superman and Weiss with Batman than with whatever generic anime shit zoomers like.
>A volume is several hours long. >It would be difficult to fit all of that into many comics.
That logic doesn't work because it's the same thing for manga and anime if you think about it.
If you read manga instead of watching anime you save a lot of time because anime/animation have in-betweens and other crap to make the episode longer than it shoud be while manga is basically just the key frames and sometimes not even that.
>The animation medium takes a lot longer to cover the same amount of material than comics so it's doable to cover a whole volume in a few chapters.
They should’ve really split the animation team in hindsight. Even if V9 did suck I think had it been released in summer 2022 like I believe it was originally planned to it would’ve been at least more popular, a two year wait was terrible and the volume being horrible except for one episode did it no favors. I also agree RT and CR are waiting to how JL2 before making a final decision on whether or not there will be a V10. I’m leaning towards a cancelation but if there is a V10 I would bet money it’s going to be announced as the last volume unless JL2 does very well. I could see a novelization for V10 possibly if it’s canceled, or maybe they’ll just do a 2 hour wrap up movie if WB is generous, but I think it’s more likely we’d just see a reboot 5-10 years from now.
I miss Monty
I miss the Poser models
I miss the old designs
I miss the fun character interactions
I miss the creative fight scenes
I miss the SOUL of Rwby
I hope they still keep the cute jessica design. I'm guessing all the rwby characters will have to be powered up since the dc ones were powered down in their universe.
Warner is constantly trying to shill DC in any way possible, and seem to be operating under the illusion that a crossover that requires knowledge of RWBY's entire story is the best way to try and drag DC fans into it.
They ain't gonna watch it.
I don't actually mind this. I love Ruby and this is just her being cute. There's nothing offensive here. I say this as someone who hates VTubers and e-thots of all kinds. But RT did this before most people and is just coming back to it now that it's popular, so the people complaining about this are just people who want more reasons to complain about RWBY.
I think people are complaining cause it looks like clout chasing the v-tuber trend that already churned. It’s irrelevent if they were the first to do it by complete accident.
If the decision for volume 10 is really being withheld until after the second part of the crossover movie to see how it does, when do you expect to hear the fate of volume 10 by?
9 volumes in and they're not even close to figuring out how to defeat her. If anything, they've helped more than they've hindered her. How can anyone still consider them the good guys?
>9 volumes in and they're not even close to figuring out how to defeat her
Which is crazy considering 12 volumes are planned so we’re 75% through the planned series and there’s still nothing. But based on Miles’s cameos, it seems like Cinder will end up being the final boss if that show makes it that far so it won’t even matter about how to defeat Salem anyway, she’ll just suck out Salem’s powers with her Grimm arm.
Really, neither side was completely in the right. They both had terrible plans with futile results, but the show wanted you to believe team RWBY was right because they're the designated heroes.
Nah, they were left alone in the middle of a grimm-ridden desert, practically avoiding one horrible death to send them to another horrible death.

That's not what the epilogue shows.
They only conceived of that plan well after they had fallen out with Ironhitler though, didn't they? Before that their plans were "save Atlas only" and "save Mantle first while Atlas is under threat"
Before that their plan was to contact the rest of humanity.
>The same way you think the guy who wanted to abandon the rest of humanity to die is a good guy.
It's still better than sacrificing them all on a suicide mission, at least he wanted to save more than half of them.
Getting all of humanity killed isn't better than anything. Also, do you understand you're literally saging the show should've promoted the message that sacrificing lives can be a gokd thing? If the last time we saw them was in the epilogue, that means they survived.
>Also, do you understand you're literally saging the show should've promoted the message that sacrificing lives can be a gokd thing?
Yes, literally every damn war of humanity has promoted the sacrifice of lives to save the majority.
I said "piece of media". Real-life war is by itself a failure of civilized workd to solve issues peacefully, so of course it abandons conventional morality. War also promotes pillaging, burning and raping the villages on your enemy side and getting away with it scot-free because they're all evil subhumans anyway. Pretty sure people demand the police to not be excessively brutal, whether that's a real issue is up to debate. Either way it's good to promote not backing down from a fight. Media and culture is how ideals are preserved in a society, and a civilized society is impossible without ideals. At best it'd just be barbarians with fancy technology.

People with a backbone and principle. People who think humanity should be more than ajust a bunch of disorganized animals fighting for survival. Sorry if you want to watch a show about cowards who only want to save themselves.
If you were stuck with your best friend without food for many days, you would eventually try to eat each other. Going by the logic of survival of the species, this is a moral thing to do and you wouldn't feel bad about it, correct?

If we assume than one random person's life is more important than other random person's, then someone walking up to you on the street to stab you with a knife is not doing anything immoral. Of course, you wouldn't like that becase it would harm you personally. Meaning your morality is entirely self-serving and therefore there's no reason to take anything you say seriously, since you're just saying things convenient for yourself.

We are talking about a war at the end of the world and the death of all humanity, I don't care if I survive or not, the important thing is to save the human species, the only egoist here is you for wanting to deny survival to the rest.

You are literally saying that some people's lives are more important than others, to the point where others' lives are worthless and should be sacrificed. You advocate for deciding whether people should live or die by yourself, without their input. That is the pinnacle of egoism and you're trying to pass it off as a righteous thing.
That is the definition of today's society.
In what way? If you mean that the current society was made possible by the war sacrifices of the past, the sacrifices that mattered were the ones of the people actually fighting, not the civilians dying for nothing.
Anonymous
Anon, in historical wars, civilians were the vast majority of casualties in whatever theater the war took place in. Germany's population was cut in half or more in some places in the 30 years war. Civilians being spared from war is a very, very new thing.

And those casualties by themselves didn't contribute to any development of society, so advocating for more of them is pointless and no one in their right mind is gonna do that.

I'm sorry, are you saying the death of millions of civilians doesn't matter, and that we shouldn't consider modern society to be built in their bones? Specifically because their deaths didn't contribute to the evolution of society in a meaningful way? I feel like I'm missing something here.
Anonymous
Don't you think it's a little disingenuous to advocate for sacrificing civilians and then turn around and say "oh, you think all those civilian deaths in the past meant nothing?" I mean, not really if you're just going to help destroy the society that was built on them by sacrificing more civilians.

Eh, it's sort of a Titanic situation as far as Ironwood was concerned, which isn't a totally unreasonable point of view given the situation. He basically had one big lifeboat which already had a lot of people on it. The man sacrificed his flesh and soul for the cause. His fault was paranoia. His trust in anyone but himself had been chipped and cracked until it shattered. It's narcissistic in some degree, but still distinct from selfishness.

>Deciding that others should sacrifice themselves so that you can live is cowardly and hypocritical.
Have you ever heard the phrase "women and children first"? they literally force you to sacrifice yourself for the good of the species.
Anonymous
Not applicable here. Women and children can't defend themselves most of the time. If anything Ironwood's plan was going to sacrifice many of those.
Anonymous
It applies here, because many of the sacrificed men could not defend either, the point is to ensure a future, buy time.

>Also, do you understand you're literally saging the show should've promoted the message that sacrificing lives can be a gokd thing?
Yes, literally every damn war of humanity has promoted the sacrifice of lives to save the majority.
They only conceived of that plan well after they had fallen out with Ironhitler though, didn't they? Before that their plans were "save Atlas only" and "save Mantle first while Atlas is under threat"
But lost half of the relics, bringing Salem that much closer to killing everyone anyway.

And the alternative would've been her killing everyone in Vale and Vacuo right away. What is the point of going iut of yipour way to keep her from relics with which she's going to destroy humanity if you doing that lets her destroy most of humanity anyway?

>What is the point of going iut of yipour way to keep her from relics with which she's going to destroy humanity if you doing that lets her destroy most of humanity anyway?
Save some of humanity! That's the point, what's the use of staying to fight if the villain is going to be one step closer to killing everyone?
Anonymous
Because the alternative is letting the villain actually killing a part of "everyone". Are you really saying that letting two kingdoms die "for the greater good of humanity" is not fricked at all and the show should've promoted that as a good thing? Maybe as a tough but rightepus choice, eh?
Anonymous
Yeah, who cares if it's right or not? As I see it, they are fighting against an immortal being that can generate an infinite army of monsters, it is best to play it safe and save a part of humanity, instead of losing everything.
but surely you are the type of person who prefers to drag everyone to death with him.

Yeah, I really don't know how they're gonna write around Salem having the Staff. That seems like an almost instant game over scenario. I can only presume they're gonna pull some extra rule of their ass.

So then what will be their justification be for Salem not obliterating Cinder for wasting the final wish on TWO different relics?

Salem won’t really care since she still has the relics, that’s all she wants. And Cinder will end up being the final boss anyway so she’ll be kept alive until the end.

Why are you people always so intellectually dishonest? It's obvious Vacuo's relic is going to work in a way that counters the creation relic. Why do you never even try to acknowledge that? All your discussion about this is always >how will they defend themselves??? (ignores the incredibly obvious answer) >I dunno lol... wow they sure are stupid and I sure am smart (ignores the incredibly obvious answer)
Like I don't want to look like a fricking shill and spretend all the writing in the show is good, but I see exchanges like this and I'm really tempted to call you a circlejerk of morons who aren't actually interested in thinking things through and only want to repeat the same things over and over to pat themselves on the back for how smart they are.

>It's obvious Vacuo's relic is going to work in a way that counters the creation relic
Unless you can prove it, it's just an assumption that may or may not be true and depends on a script that hasn't been written yet.
Anonymous
It's an assumption you can easily make, but people always act like there is no possible imaginable way to defend against the other relic.
Anonymous
NTA but even if the relic of destruction directly counters the relic of creation, unless it insta-poofs creation's creations then Salem could just go full KKV and magic up a huge boulder to crush Vacuo with or something like that. That's likely why it seems like such a game over situation, because its use is solely limited by creativity and (apparently) mechanical knowledge, both of which Salem should have plenty of.
Anonymous
That still doesn't mean there's no feasible way to defend against it. You even came up with one right now when you actually applied yourself for a moment instead of circlejerking.

I never said there wasn't, I was just sympathizing with the people that think there isn't. You have to admit it seems pretty serious, at least. Dunno where I was circlejerking.

I don't usually sympathize with people who said the same thing I heard a billion times before. They don't need my sympathy, they already have plenty. How about they say something new for a change?
Fair point that people don't really discuss the Sword, though you managed to make yourself sound like a fart-huffing homosexual in your own right in the process. But to engage you on an "intellectually honest" level, I guess the main thing right now is that we don't know anything about the Sword, so it's hard to speculate about it. We do know how the Staff works though and it's OP as shit if you're not a bunch of chucklefricks like Team RWBY. It's hard to envision how precisely the Sword is going to neatly counter all the absolute bullshit you could pull off with the Staff in a way that isn't cloyingly convenient and/or itself moronic.
The problem is the staff has effectively no limits in its creation powers. The sword must have limits to its destruction powers because otherwise they could just use it to end Salem.
Sure, we don't know about the sword's limits and it could end up being something really dumb, but it's not like it's unfeasible that it would be able to disintegrate anything the other relic creates. It doesn't have to be weak to not be able to destroy Salem.
Anonymous
>it's not like it's unfeasible that it would be able to disintegrate anything the other relic creates
See this is the problem: that's not good enough. Salem could just use the Staff to keep making portals and dumping Grimm wherever she wants. Even if you can use the sword to destroy the portal, she can just make another. The Sword can't be everywhere all the time. You either need to expand its powers to equally ridiculous levels to keep up with the Staff's bullshit or you need to nerf the Staff somehow. Either way, it's a bad position for the writers.
Anonymous
If the staff can "be everywhere" via portals, why not the sword via something like destruction blasts? What would be ridiculous about that?
Anonymous
Because then you need to develop more precise rules for that or else you circle back around to the question of "Why haven't we been using this in the fight against Salem?" This is the problem when you're dealing with plot devices of this magnitude. You need to be thoughtful or else shit gets dumb fast.
Anonymous
Because the sword can't destroy Salem. Wow, that was hard. Why are you pretending like it can either do anything including killing Salem or nothing at all and that finding an in-between is hard?

>Why are you pretending like it can either do anything including killing Salem or nothing at all and that finding an in-between is hard?
Strawman. I never said anything about the Sword killing Salem. It doesn't need to be able to destroy her to be useful in fighting her. This is the critical point. A plot device doesn't need to perfectly resolve the entire plot to still be bullshit. And at what point does this just devolve to kids on a playground going >"I have the ultimate thingamajig that lets me instantly win!" >"Nuh-uh because I have the ultimate doodad that makes it so that your dumb thingamajig doesn't work on me!" >"Well my thingamajig also lets me do this to win!" >"Nuh-uh, my doodad stops that too!" >etc...
Because this is where you end up with this plot device arms race bullshit.

It depends on if they're eager to take the Sword from the vault after what happened to the Staff are it was pulled from its vault. It could get stolen and then it's near over once they figure out the trick to get to Vale's relic. It's also possible that Theodore or the Summer maiden will refuse to take it out due to how dangerous the Sword is. It was what was used to end the Great War.
>The same way you think the guy who wanted to abandon the rest of humanity to die is a good guy.
It's still better than sacrificing them all on a suicide mission, at least he wanted to save more than half of them.
9 volumes in and they're not even close to figuring out how to defeat her. If anything, they've helped more than they've hindered her. How can anyone still consider them the good guys?
>meet capital G-od and the equivalent of his scribe/speaker in wonderland >they don't ask neither on how to deal with the unbeatable immortal that's terrorizing their world
You know even if rwby+j had gotten some vague advice or just a 'we can't help you there' would've been fine but noooo, we had to get an exposition dump on the brothers' origins 'cause that is what the show needed.
>we had to get an exposition dump on the brothers' origins
I hated it too. At least volume 6's lore dump answered questions like: What is the big bad/Salem's problem? What's so important of the MacGuffins(relics) that both the good and bad guys are trying to collect them? Why hasn't Ozpin stopped Salem yet? Instead we got nothing, volume 8 might as well ended with RWBYJN falling into Vacuo some time in the future and only have Neo die on impact.
It is pretty funny how Muzan's stupid natural disaster spiel is actually applicable to Salem. It's basically a recurring theme in the show. Team STRQ is basically an embodiment of it.
>Summer is one of the "deviants" who thinks she can fight the hurricane and fricking dies >Tai gives up on it all and literally goes the "live quietly, earn your daily wages" path >Raven replaces the "live quietly" part with "rob people fleeing the hurricane" >Qrow dedicates himself to protecting people from the hurricane, but it never ends and it's destroying him
Like many things in RWBY, I'd almost be tempted to call it good writing if I wasn't almost certain it was all just incidental shit shaking out from the premise and falling in an interesting pattern.
Movies were produced at the same time as V9 anon. I don’t think it’s a good sign that the show will get a V10 when CRWBY was begging people not to pirate during V9 to get more views and at RTX begging fans to use a hashtag to get V10 greenlit. If they are lucky they’ll get a tenth and final volume.
Like hell they aren't. He made a convoluted deathtrap warp zone after they vaguely gestured at the vault and a map of Atlas. Not to mention the absolute bullshit with Penny.
He clearly fills in a LOT of the blanks. They gave him a pneumatic transport system and he gave them back an interdimensional portal nexus of floating walkways suspended over a void (which itself leads to the fairytale homeland of the gods because whatever).
Silver Eyes are explicitly creation powers in canon. He is the Relic of Creation. It's totally in his wheelhouse to know how to make Silver Eyes. Especially with Ruby's eyes as an example. Unless you think Cinder gave him the blueprints to fire.
>Silver Eyes are explicitly creation powers in canon. He is the Relic of Creation
There's no connection here. SE aren't actually used to create anything and the relic itself is not associated with GoL more than any other relic.
>Ironwood says the staff is an infinite energy source >This infinite energy is what was being used to make Atlas float
So what was he even going to wish for? Energy that's double infinite?
I dont think they'll like having to read the character doc and 100+ pages of greens to cach up on our autism, and even if they do over half the main cast being oc's will ward them off
It's kinda funny and sad that they couldn't even be bothered to make a good vtuber model for her. There's no way it could've cost them THAT much to get a proper set up going with a nice 3D model.
So does she actually do her own streams, or is the model only for these short videos and collabs? I wonder how many genuine simps Lindsay could get LARPing as her own character. Maybe a portion of the donations she gets could even be used to fund V10
>rwby vtubers
honestly a smart decision by roosterteeth the only reason any ever cared about this shit was the cute girls and they can't write to save their life anyway. Should get a less obnoxious voice though
I'm tired of suffer pandering! Can't he have an upbeat battle theme? Something Kamen Rider level?
> No JNR hero designs
I mean, obviously, but, I hope they get some cool gear.
Yeah, it was bullshit. They might as well have made Adam the new leader that took over the WF a few years prior, because the in the same episode where most people who aren't hanging on every detail find out he's not that leader, he kills her and becomes the new leader anyway. I guess they just wanted to add usurper to the list of reasons he's a bad guy in case you don't get it yet.
Did Ruby or Weiss ever even meet Adam? It seems a little weird that he was such a major antagonist for half the team, but the other half only theoretically know he existed.
Man, now I wish Ruby and Adam had an ironic buddy scene where they bonded over their similar edgy styles.

Not liking Bumbleby doesn’t mean you’re homophobic. It means you know a shit ship when you see one. Especially with how it regressed both of their characters: Blake from a confident activist leader to a timid weakling and Yang from a caring thrill-seeker to a grouchy butch who always puts her girlfriend before her sister.

>bumbleby
I only very recently got into rwby, why do everyone use these stupid ships name instead of just saying Blake x Yang like in any other serie?
In fact why does anyone care about these ships at all, they're all garbage and clearly not the focus of the story
9 months ago
Anonymous
Some fandoms just use ship names like that, others stick to Character x Character, others mix the names and a few go with the Somethingshipping format
The fact that Adam never even mentions Weiss at any point in the show is incomprehensibly bad writing. I'm not even saying he should have gone after her directly, but to not even bring up their friendship when he's fricking with Blake? It's utterly mind-boggling.
Especially since the guy has her initial branded on his face. You'd think there'd at least be some interaction between him and the most prominent Schnee in the show.
I mean that seems like a good trade? Sure it has the whole >This is non canon speculation
Disclaimer about the broken moon being Dust, but even on the off chance it is I think trading our moons would be worth it.
Depends on how powerful divine magic is vs Devil and Angel magic. His Anti magic has limits (you can overpower it with enough magic).
Best way to see is if it negates the complete immortality (perfect soul and body immortality) of Lucius.
Remember that time Ruby had a mental breakdown and her loving sister's reaction was to protectively step in front of her cowering girlfriend and say "Hey"?
These bizarre tone shifts convince me that the writers don't even talk to each other. Like they decided on a bare bones plot outline, divided it into episodes, and everybody took a few to go off on their own and write without making sure they actually fit together in the end.
Ruby kills herself
Instead of coming back, she gets Isekai'd to Berserk World right after Griffith fuses the Physical and Astral Planes
How does she do?
I remember the original version of this meme and a couple others in the first few homophobic Ruby threads. I lost the original when I was cleaning out files on my laptop but I think I have it saved somewhere else
I’m just saying if it had been Ren and Nora to fall instead of WBY they would have noticed Ruby’s depression and moved to help her instantly instead of ignoring it.
No, but somebody's gotta do it. Who else are we going to throw there? Jaune and Ruby and have them vent about their feelings? That'd ruin the totally necessary shouting match later.
The feeling bridge does actually fit their current relationship (i.e. Nora having to find herself), but I vote to skip the bridge and have everyone be trapped in the Punderstorm. Nora's reaction to it would be funny.
Ruby kills herself
Instead of coming back, she gets Isekai'd to Berserk World right after Griffith fuses the Physical and Astral Planes

Has anyone ever tried calling Griffith a gay? If not, then that's the first thing Ruby should do.
This show makes me profoundly sad in a way no other show or piece of media has.
>This show makes me profoundly sad in a way no other show or piece of media has.
Same, but I'm not sure it's for the same reason.
I don't like Bumblebee, but if they felt they had to do it for whatever reason then fine. What I really hate is the magically forced love confession scene. It just feels cheap and robs the both of them of important character moments. There was plenty of time in V7 for them to get together on their own.
Instead of Robyn and the Huntresses it should have been the Atlas White Fang. Like after Beacon/Haven they're trying to play politics and build up good PR by helping Mantle instead of all the terrorism. It's a good set up for drama, trust issues, conflict in the team, etc as RWBY is forced to consider an working with a former, and maybe still current, enemy. Plus it would make Ironwood snapping make more sense if it was the White Fang RWBY was working with on the sly and not some random Robin Hood lady.
What would be good DC New Earth backstories for RWBY+JNPR?
All I can think of is Blake as former League of Assassins and Jaune as the grandson of the Shining Knight
Ruby as granddaughter of The Shadow? In one or their team ups, Batman remarks how her grandpa was a big inspiration for him and sees a promising future for her as well.
I would imagine they do, given her continued popularity even in death and their regular callbacks to her. Soon Pyrrhaghosts re-traumatizing everyone will be a canon meme.
wtf why is ruby a vtuber, when did roosterteeth do this?
this is the kind of shit that jumps on you when you start to completely ignore the creators from the creation.
they practically invented this concept,newbie

>
>2016
>January
Wow, i thought kizuna ai being first
They did not invent the concept.
Didn't Nintendo did it first with Charles Martinet interacting with fans in an e3 as Mario, Luigi and Wario?
Aren't they still beat out by that one weird anthropomorphic bear mascot for that one hardware store?
I thought it was kind of cute. There's no need to be so grouchy about it, it wasn't annoying or anything
because RWBY is a decade old and needs zoom zoom appeal

OC/Scarletverse: autism, greens, cooming
>on a "hill" overlooking the paper village in the background
Seems like an odd choice, considering this is the exact spot where the homophobic Ruby meme happened. I would have thought RT would be making efforts to avoid anything that could be associated with that.
It's the biggest meme the show has had in forever. Might as well own up to it.
It's the one time in years their show got positive attention.
what do the voice actors, writers, and, just in general, long time showrunners at rt really think of this i wonder. Are alarm bells ringing in their heads at how desperate this is? maybe actual despair that over ten years of work on rwby and this is where its ended up? maybe they dont care cause its a paycheck and its what the kids are into. but there used to be something more than that in this series. the future looked so bright once
Didn't they literally say they'd keep churning out RvB slop so long as it kept making money? It's always been about the bottom line for them.
all the old hands' minds have been warped with time and anyone new that joins is already fricked up mentally from the get go. say what you will about the guy who died during vol 3, but even if he had lived the show would've ended up in a similar place anyway.
rwby itself was a great idea, but it was the ones who thought of this idea would ruined it.
then again anything that was shit could have been better if better writers had it instead so I'm not really saying that much here
It's not really much of an idea so much as a series of thin premises for cute anime girls fighting things. As for Monty, I'm not sure if the show would be better or worse if he still lived, but the path of the show would be different at least, if only because his autism would've inevitably derailed the plot at a couple points.
>over ten years of work on rwby and this is where its ended up?

Why are self-inserters like this
Can't you at least find a proper haremshit anime to cling to
The only thing we know from "leaks" is that they are cuddling in some place.
Aside that, the villains are some RWBY game villain and Lex Luthor.
Black Canary is probably gonna be great.
The one that is made by people who have apparently never even touched a DC comic?
Well, the writer has worked for DC, the only problem is that her comics are shit.
>RWBY is utterly dead,
Probably
>and in my opinion it was dead on arrival.
Oh my no.
Okay, but it was hardly dead. For a while there it was huge, with merchandise out the ass.
>its tone is bizarrely grimdark
only when its tone is not that of a children's series.
>RWBY is utterly dead,
Not yet, but soon.
>and in my opinion it was dead on arrival.
I suppose I should ask...is it just her?
Doing these vlogs? Yes. For now, at least.
Is she even the most popular character?
She's the main character/mascot. The most popular character depends on who you ask.
>Is she even the most popular character?
Yes at least in the first 6 volumes, not sure about volume 7 thru 9.
>Ren over Jaune
>Nora at #3
When is this from, V5?
>tfw V5 was ~5 years ago
Shitty outdated list.
Nowadays, Jaune would be in the top 5, at least.
>Weiss and Blake beaten by a dead girl
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The series is named after her.
Remember when RWBY was good?
Me neither
Lawl RT is doing everything with this IP in an attempt to get the next season greenlit resorting to fricking vtubing.
How the mighty have fallen.
wheres wooby poster at i miss that freaking dork
How about that Anon who Obsessed with Ruby being real before getting Cucked by everyone on RWBYG on trash that he decided to go outside
>Ruby being real
lmao what. i genuinely dont remember this guy. how far did his obsession go? did he just post pictures like this all the time?
That guy was obsessed with Ruby that he convinced himself that if he got older, it could be possible to Ruby will be a real person with future technology, and even “ cheated” Ruby with having sex a real life girl then got depressed over it.
Black person.... the anon said he cared for Jessica and Jaune and your dumbass mind immediately goes self insert
My mind doesn't have to go anywhere. People talking about RWBY on Cinemaphile are 95% of time self-inserters into the blonde guy. Who the fucj else?
>Jaune is a self insert
You dykes have been saying this for years, while cutting yourself and inserting into Blake
>inserting into Blake
Can you really blame them?
Well, maybe before she cut her hair. And became a dyke.
Yes, because it ruined both of the characters.
Well Knightshade fans were having the time of there life when Vol9 aired
Mostly memes. There's no ambiguity about RT's actual priorities with Blake and Yang.
well before when she

I don't give a frick about the shipping wars in your head or whatever. If you're watching for Jaune and are mainly invested into shipping him with whoever, you're a haremshitter self-inserter. Can you refute that?
No, he said that's the only thing he cares about. Meaning he watches shit he doesn't even like just to self-insert and ship characters. Please feel free to prove how that is an unreasonable assumption.
He said nowhere that he self insersts as Jaune the only one making that claim is you Black person again he likes the ship and again Black person when has he said anything about shipping wars again your the only one bringing that up. Did your parents fail to abort you or something?
>He said nowhere that he self insersts as Jaune
Yes, some peopls just happen to like shipping bland milquetoast relatable protags (well, pseudo-protag in this case) with girls. For no particular reason, right?
>has he said anything about shipping wars
He immediately assumed I'm some rival self-inserter who's into a different ship. Now that's a schizo assumption, whereas mine is completely logical and reasonable.
It could be that Reddit moderator that likes Jessica that's why he immediately went with the Jaune SI accusations
Now you're bringing le redit boogeymen into this. I just think you guys are pathetic for watching shit where the only thing you care about is your self-insert and shipping and having hundreds of threads about it.
LMAO you really are the Reddit moderater that likes Jessica and also
>le redit boogeymen
Who the frick even thinks that oh wait (you)
Who looks down on haremtards that will watch any shit as long as they can self-insert and ship characters? Anyone with taste, I'd wager.
Yes, I'm sure you thought the only thing you're watching for was the best part. What exactly is this supposed to disprove?.
Black person at this point you just want (you's) so here's your last dopamine fix
I actually want you to crawl back into /trash/ and stop clogging up Cinemaphile with your haremtard homosexualry.
>What exactly is this supposed to disprove
Nothing? I'm NTA. I just thought it was the best part of the first movie and am disappointed there won't be much (if any) of it in the second, judging by what we know so far. The other character interactions were varying levels of stupidity or bland.
NTA but if Jaune is the only character you like, then of course his parts are the only ones you'll like.
But I like all of them (except Blake)
But Jaune and Jess were easily the best part of the first movie, regardless of whether you read their interactions as romantic or otherwise. Does it really surprise you that someone would want to see more of that dynamic?
>But Jaune and Jess were easily the best part of the first movie
That's why you shouldn't wait much from them on part 2.
I bet WB regrets not having Jessica and Jaune content in the second movie. I know both movies were produced together so there was no way of them knowing how popular they’d be, but I’m sure now they’re kicking themselves.
>they’re kicking themselves.
They do make moronic decisions that they regret hell you can go on Twitter or now known as X where the the writers say they fricked up in the fancy esq way
Proofs?
Shipping is one of the things that keep the RWBY fandom alive, of course DC wouldn't know that.
Just wait to see Jaune and Jess meeting each other again just by the end of the movie, when both teams are going to beat the villain even more easily than with Killgore.
>he said that's the only thing he cares about
>Anon that said that here
I was joking... Why are women like that?
Are you on your period? Get some help b***h.
>I was merely pretending to be moronic
rwby fans do be like that
>my mind doesn't go anywhere
Black person.... you say this and then follow up with this
>People talking about RWBY on Cinemaphile are 95% of time self-inserters into the blonde guy. Who the fucj else?
Again the anon said he cared about Jaune and Jessica and there's nothing wrong with that but you immediately go SI again you absolute dumbass
Thats roidschizo, he was obsessed with ruby and wanted to date a girl who was exactly like her, when he didnt find anyone that fit his criteria he went nuts and started talking about waiting for ai to get advanced enough to where he could date a robot ruby rose, he also started lifting weights even more to deal with his waifu not being real and able to cuddle him, i never knew if he was genuinely that much of a moron of playing it up, but it was relatively funny while it lasted, last i heard he got mad at people posting porn of ruby and saying she deserved rape so left for good, all thay remains of his legacy is this shitty edit some other guy who lifts posts everyday
That dude is probably happily chatting up a Ruby chatbot.
>Sydney Sweeny Yang
Only good casting choice from that live action chart tbh
What about the other three?
How would RWBY+JNR fare in the world of the last non-RWBY thing you watched?
Currently watching King of the Hill so...
Pretty poorly
Not sure even Salem could stop Hank for kicking her ass
What would be Dale's explanation for the Grimm and/or the Faunus?
Problably some sort of government psyop/coverup
Bleach. They'd fit well i guess.
He would unrioncally be 99% right about Salem
the only thing wrong would be that she's constantly watching him
>Hank you don't get it! There's a woman creating these monsters in some secret land! She's making them from her black pools in her castle. She's got agents in every kingdom watching people that could stop her. Faunus are a attempt to replace the human race as the superior species and both them and grimm are working together. Why else would they have animal traits like grimm.
>Dale that's asinine. Next you're gonna tell me She was married to Bill.
>Come on Hank that's crazy. We both know she's a 12 and Bill at 2 at most. If anything she'd be married to Boomhauer or Redcorn.
Peter Griffin could beat Salem.
>two and a half men
does it have to be Cinemaphile? charlie would meet yang and blake at a bar and drunkenly hit on them. yang would punch him and he'd bounce around loony tunes style like that one guy
Why in the year 2023 are you watching Two and a Half Men?
it reminds me of better times anon. much like rwby volumes 1-3
Two and a Half Men was always dreadful.
I watched most of the first season when it aired and dropped it without regret.
The same jokes sitcoms have been using for decades.
The laugh track.
Oh boy! One of them is responsible and uptight, the other is charismatic but chaotic!
How will they ever live together?!
Plus an annoying child!
It was cliched and hacky 20 years ago. I don't know what anyone could possibly get out of it now.
"No point" you say?
You won the argument, now what's the source of this???
>How much LGBTQ+ are we talking here?
I'm almost regreting asking for the sauce or saying that you won the argument... just kidding.
Your loss.
Um....name?
Sydney Sweeney.
They're fricked unless aura protects them from having their pressure points activated. They probably have less of a chance against Nanto.
>Mobile Suit Gundam
Ruby's fine with killing evil people, though. She'll defect in an instant when she figures out the Feddies are also doing fricked up shit, though.
Do they even have their auras unlocked? I was always under the impression only the big honchos had unlocked aura.
Regardless though, some of those who fell off the train were going to be swarmed by the Grimm coming into the tunnels, so at the bare minimum they sentenced them to death-by-grimm.
I'm honestly surprised that neither Legends or Disney ever had a Light Scythe, but Ruby would probably make one
>Haruhi
They'd make a fun side character squad. I don't think they'd fit in well with the SOS Brigade though. My second most recent thing would be more interesting.
>DBZ
Could they beat Raditz?
If Ruby knows about our world does she know about our memes involving her?
Does she know about Homophobic Ruby?
You'd think for Part 2 where we go to the DC Universe, it'd be in the In-House style DC uses for their movies.
I wish.
Diana became uglier in her own universe than in the RWBYverse.
i can't articulate it rn but this crossover idea is just weird as frick. 1. rwby isnt well known to the average person. 2. rwby fans would prefer anime crossover than american comics crossovers. like batman and tmnt works well cause theyre the same genre. they work off each other aswell. its a similar setting and you get the turtles lax attitude to crime fighting and familial relationship contrasted with batmans loner stoicism, plus all the villains teaming up- thats kinda fun. with rwby i can't imagine any sort of interesting chemistry between justice league and team rwby. they're all so agreeable and 'just want to do good' and its like what will they even do? kill grimm for an hour? I'm not even sure that rwby got proper characterisation in their own series. I'll have to see the film but im not keen on what ive seen of the comics at least
They're WB properties, anon. That's why.
Duh.
Now imagine if they did Harry Potter...
>If we are lucky, the volume will instead be done with a novel.
Their manga and comics sell more than novels.
Yes but a novel would be longer and cheaper. A volume is several hours long. It would be difficult to fit all of that into many comics.
>Reboot in 5-10 years
As long as they hire the project ROSE guys or get Shane back on board somehow I'll be happy
I miss Monty
I miss the Poser models
I miss the old designs
I miss the fun character interactions
I miss the creative fight scenes
I miss the SOUL of Rwby
I miss when the characters were likeable and bland instead of annoying c**ts and personality vacuums that only exist to be shipped with eachother
I miss prepubescent casey williams belting her lungs out over fight scenes. That was pure soul
>Casey is my age
Might need to pull my life together so I can bag that...
I hope they still keep the cute jessica design. I'm guessing all the rwby characters will have to be powered up since the dc ones were powered down in their universe.
We already know her part 1 design isn’t being used. Her adult model isn’t Wonder Women bad but it’s not amazing either.
Warner is constantly trying to shill DC in any way possible, and seem to be operating under the illusion that a crossover that requires knowledge of RWBY's entire story is the best way to try and drag DC fans into it.
They ain't gonna watch it.
Honestly, it made me smile.
I'd prefer if this just become DC Superhero Girls than vtuber fest.
Is it wrong that I like this style more than the anime style?
If the decision for volume 10 is really being withheld until after the second part of the crossover movie to see how it does, when do you expect to hear the fate of volume 10 by?
I’d guess around December or early next year (January or February) we’ll hear something. They can’t drag it out forever, whether it’s renewed or not.
>they still never answered the Curious Cat's question about how to stop her
Salem won.
The same way you think the guy who wanted to abandon the rest of humanity to die is a good guy.
Really, neither side was completely in the right. They both had terrible plans with futile results, but the show wanted you to believe team RWBY was right because they're the designated heroes.
RWBY did save most of the people.
Nah, they were left alone in the middle of a grimm-ridden desert, practically avoiding one horrible death to send them to another horrible death.
That's not what the epilogue shows.
Before that their plan was to contact the rest of humanity.
Getting all of humanity killed isn't better than anything. Also, do you understand you're literally saging the show should've promoted the message that sacrificing lives can be a gokd thing? Can you even think of any mainstream piece of media that promotes that? Do you realize how insane it would've looked to anyone who's not a Cinemaphile edgelord?
>That's not what the epilogue shows.
It was literally the last time we saw any of the evacuated citizens.
Contacting the rest of humanity was part of Ironwood's plan, too, until they came under direct threat with Amity unable to launch.
It wasn't part of his plan when people actually needed to know about the threat that was coming.
If the last time we saw them was in the epilogue, that means they survived.
I said "piece of media". Real-life war is by itself a failure of civilized workd to solve issues peacefully, so of course it abandons conventional morality. War also promotes pillaging, burning and raping the villages on your enemy side and getting away with it scot-free because they're all evil subhumans anyway. Are you going to say media should glorify that, too?
>Are you going to say media should glorify that, too?
yes, they do, they literally named anyone who sacrifices themselves, knowingly or unknowingly, a hero.
Sacrificing yourself is heroic. Deciding that others should sacrifice themselves so that you can live is cowardly and hypocritical.
>Deciding that others should sacrifice themselves so that you can live is cowardly and hypocritical.
Welcome to the real world, where most are cowards who prefer others to sacrifice themselves in order to live as comfortably as possible.
everyone says no until they need someone to take the bullet for them.
Media shouldn't promote cowardice. It should promote bravery and fighting against impossible odds.
Well, they don't, why do you think they always demand more from the police? because they want them to make your life easier.
I agree that ideals are necessary, they help us stay on track and improve ourselves, but I am against any ideal that makes you think that dying is better than the survival of the species.
>Yeah, who cares if it's right or not?
People with a backbone and principle. People who think humanity should be more than ajust a bunch of disorganized animals fighting for survival. Sorry if you want to watch a show about cowards who only want to save themselves.
If you were stuck with your best friend without food for many days, you would eventually try to eat each other. Going by the logic of survival of the species, this is a moral thing to do and you wouldn't feel bad about it, correct?
Like I said, the important thing is to survive, you can cry for the dead later and I'm sorry if you want to see a show about a bunch of idiots willing to sacrifice all of humanity just to feel good about themselves.
We are talking about a war at the end of the world and the death of all humanity, I don't care if I survive or not, the important thing is to save the human species, the only egoist here is you for wanting to deny survival to the rest.
not everyone has to go down with the ship.
You are literally saying that some people's lives are more important than others, to the point where others' lives are worthless and should be sacrificed. You advocate for deciding whether people should live or die by yourself, without their input. That is the pinnacle of egoism and you're trying to pass it off as a righteous thing.
In what way? If you mean that the current society was made possible by the war sacrifices of the past, the sacrifices that mattered were the ones of the people actually fighting, not the civilians dying for nothing.
Don't you think it's a little disingenuous to advocate for sacrificing civilians and then turn around and say "oh, you think all those civilian deaths in the past meant nothing?" I mean, not really if you're just going to help destroy the society that was built on them by sacrificing more civilians.
I'm sorry for wanting to save a part of the population instead of letting them all die, I never said that one life is worth more than another, I said that it's not worth it for everyone to die for an ideal that no one will remember if everyone dies.
By sacrificing a portion of the population, you are effectivrly saying that some lives are worth more than others. Making this kind of decision without even attempting to save them all is not the most heroic thing you can do
Eh, it's sort of a Titanic situation as far as Ironwood was concerned, which isn't a totally unreasonable point of view given the situation. He basically had one big lifeboat which already had a lot of people on it. He probably could've gotten more people aboard, but the boat couldn't fit everyone at the end of the day and there were legitimately a lot of extenuating circumstances.
His reasons are understandable, but he's still fundamentally immoral and selfish, making an arbitrary divide between "the guys I'm going to save" and "the guys that can go frick themselves because I decided I cannot fight this battle".
>"the guys that can go frick themselves because I decided I cannot fight this battle".
and he was right, they lost two kingdoms and two relics, it would have been avoided if the rwby team hadn't wasted entire months doing nothing.
>lost two kingdoms
What?
>wasted entire months doing nothing.
What?
Take your med before talking to me next time.
Immoral, sure, depending on your point of view, but especially once he's gone over the edge in V8. Selfish, though, is bullshit. He's not Raven or Jacques.
Not applicable here. Women and children can't defend themselves most of the time. If anything Ironwood's plan was going to sacrifice many of those.
It applies here, because many of the sacrificed men could not defend either, the point is to ensure a future, buy time.
A future built on a mountain of corpses for a select few survivors.
That is the definition of today's society.
I don't think sending them into a wasteland full of grimm counts as saving them
But lost half of the relics, bringing Salem that much closer to killing everyone anyway.
Because the alternative is letting the villain actually killing a part of "everyone". Are you really saying that letting two kingdoms die "for the greater good of humanity" is not fricked at all and the show should've promoted that as a good thing? Maybe as a tough but rightepus choice, eh?
Yeah, who cares if it's right or not? As I see it, they are fighting against an immortal being that can generate an infinite army of monsters, it is best to play it safe and save a part of humanity, instead of losing everything.
but surely you are the type of person who prefers to drag everyone to death with him.
Nothing’s stopping her from doing that either way besides plot convenience.
Yeah, I really don't know how they're gonna write around Salem having the Staff. That seems like an almost instant game over scenario. I can only presume they're gonna pull some extra rule of their ass.
>Penny
>Door Zone
>Cinder's Fire
They'll retcon that it also has a three wishes every 100 years limit they just forgot to mention. Making Atlas was long enough ago that the timer reset.
So then what will be their justification be for Salem not obliterating Cinder for wasting the final wish on TWO different relics?
100 years is like a week to her so she doesn't care. The real reason will be bad writing.
All your discussion about this is always
>how will they defend themselves??? (ignores the incredibly obvious answer)
>I dunno lol... wow they sure are stupid and I sure am smart (ignores the incredibly obvious answer)
It's an assumption you can easily make, but people always act like there is no possible imaginable way to defend against the other relic.
Sure, we don't know about the sword's limits and it could end up being something really dumb, but it's not like it's unfeasible that it would be able to disintegrate anything the other relic creates. It doesn't have to be weak to not be able to destroy Salem.
>it's not like it's unfeasible that it would be able to disintegrate anything the other relic creates
If the staff can "be everywhere" via portals, why not the sword via something like destruction blasts? What would be ridiculous about that?
Because then you need to develop more precise rules for that or else you circle back around to the question of "Why haven't we been using this in the fight against Salem?" This is the problem when you're dealing with plot devices of this magnitude. You need to be thoughtful or else shit gets dumb fast.
And at what point does this just devolve to kids on a playground going
>"I have the ultimate thingamajig that lets me instantly win!"
>"Nuh-uh because I have the ultimate doodad that makes it so that your dumb thingamajig doesn't work on me!"
>"Well my thingamajig also lets me do this to win!"
>"Nuh-uh, my doodad stops that too!"
>etc...
Because this is where you end up with this plot device arms race bullshit.
The Staff's limit is how moronic the user is. Hence why Ozma never used it to make some unbreakable Salem containment sphere or something to the effect.
>It turns out the sword of destruction doesn't have limits to its capabilities
>It can destroy anything you tell it to and can point it at
>You just have to hit Salem twice, the first hit has to be an "immortality destroyer" beam
>Then you can kill her conventionally or with a normal destruction beam
>Ozma just never thought to try and destroy Salem's immortality first
How mad would everyone be?
I would be mad at him but being a moron is his thing. This is the same guy who thought making a city float was the best use of the staff.
It'd be pretty funny.
Salem is getting treed. A lazy cop out? You bet, but hey, that's RWBY.
>meet capital G-od and the equivalent of his scribe/speaker in wonderland
>they don't ask neither on how to deal with the unbeatable immortal that's terrorizing their world
You know even if rwby+j had gotten some vague advice or just a 'we can't help you there' would've been fine but noooo, we had to get an exposition dump on the brothers' origins 'cause that is what the show needed.
>we had to get an exposition dump on the brothers' origins
>Summer is one of the "deviants" who thinks she can fight the hurricane and fricking dies
>Tai gives up on it all and literally goes the "live quietly, earn your daily wages" path
>Raven replaces the "live quietly" part with "rob people fleeing the hurricane"
>Qrow dedicates himself to protecting people from the hurricane, but it never ends and it's destroying him
Like many things in RWBY, I'd almost be tempted to call it good writing if I wasn't almost certain it was all just incidental shit shaking out from the premise and falling in an interesting pattern.
Why is this so cringe?
Fandom.
this thread has some crazy skitzo shit in it
Hi Darius
how is you saying this showing there is not some crazy schizo shit happing?
>Ice Cream b***h eats pussy
If the RWBY cast were real, I'd frick half of them.
Half?
Remove males
Remove grandmas
Remove fauners
That leaves about half
So no Blake?
No Blake. No cat fricking on my watch, sorry.
>the show is going away guys
how
>they have a movie coming out and they do crossovers
what kind of logic is this
Movies were produced at the same time as V9 anon. I don’t think it’s a good sign that the show will get a V10 when CRWBY was begging people not to pirate during V9 to get more views and at RTX begging fans to use a hashtag to get V10 greenlit. If they are lucky they’ll get a tenth and final volume.
Why didn't they just have the genie make a gigantic floating silver eye hovering above Atlas and vaporize all the Grimm?
Don't ask smart questions
No blueprint (Ruby's eyes aren't a blueprint)
Like hell they aren't. He made a convoluted deathtrap warp zone after they vaguely gestured at the vault and a map of Atlas. Not to mention the absolute bullshit with Penny.
He had the blueprints for both.
You can also use an example of the something similar (Like Ruby's eyes). Oz says this.
I can only presume she gave him a hastily made crayon drawing labeled "Atlas but more fire!"
>Silver Eyes are explicitly creation powers in canon. He is the Relic of Creation
There's no connection here. SE aren't actually used to create anything and the relic itself is not associated with GoL more than any other relic.
Ozma had centuries (millennia?) to come up with something and the best idea he had was "giant floating island".
>Ironwood says the staff is an infinite energy source
>This infinite energy is what was being used to make Atlas float
So what was he even going to wish for? Energy that's double infinite?
Maybe they should just launch the relics into space instead. She would never find them.
We back? I know we're not, but I've missed working spoilers.
We're so back
>For the duration of this thread
Hey gays that didn't go to trash, go check out Scarletverse!
I know nothing about 3D modeling, but it seems like a missed opportunity to not use the actual Ruby model if it was an option.
Has there been any twitter whining about part 2 of the JL movie taking away Blake's minority status?
So does she actually do her own streams, or is the model only for these short videos and collabs? I wonder how many genuine simps Lindsay could get LARPing as her own character. Maybe a portion of the donations she gets could even be used to fund V10
I'm sure Monty Oum was a nice guy, but he's definitely burning in hell for creating RWBY.
>rwby vtubers
honestly a smart decision by roosterteeth the only reason any ever cared about this shit was the cute girls and they can't write to save their life anyway. Should get a less obnoxious voice though
>Should get a less obnoxious voice though
Anon… that’s the voice actress from the actual show…
>Anon… that’s the voice actress from the actual show…
I know
Kneel.
I miss her breasts so much, bros
Damn boys I didn't even watch the last season. It all went wrong when that Monty lad died.
>Jaune finally gets a song
>its a sad depressing song about how much he's suffered
man I'm gonna miss his Rusted Knight look, it was by far his best.
I like it. Suffering themes are neat
I'm tired of suffer pandering! Can't he have an upbeat battle theme? Something Kamen Rider level?
> No JNR hero designs
I mean, obviously, but, I hope they get some cool gear.
>I mean, obviously, but, I hope they get some cool gear.
It's been confirmed that JNR are not in the movie at all.
>It's been confirmed that JNR are not in the movie at all.
> No more KnightLight
Well, to the hell with the movie, then.
I’m surprised they don’t have Jaune at the least, like the perfect time for this crossover to take place is post V9.
Ruby, Weiss and Jaune basically carried the RWBY side in the part one.
I understand they're sideling him to give more focus to the titular team, but, it feels strange not having him at all.
Or JNR are appearing as a cameo only, dunno.
Sickens me how she was the best designed character and shes used for a backstory episode
It seems a little weird that he was such a major antagonist for half the team, but the other half only theoretically know he existed.
no
Man, now I wish Ruby and Adam had an ironic buddy scene where they bonded over their similar edgy styles.
Even so much time later, I still can't believe RT did the unintentional "Suicide is the answer!" message twice
gen:LOCK was such a fricking disaster lmfao, I remember watching the first episode and having so much hope for it
Reminder that their show bible unironically said "Unlike other Mecha, gen:LOCK is about the characters"
This is the worst mindset a mecha fan can have, where the hell did it start?
>Is that the screams of 1000s of innocent civilians being torn apart?
>*sips*
>not my problem
So, is this getting a new season or whatever?
Probay not, it is getting a second crossover movie with DC though
At the moment no but they're trying desperately to get enough attention on side projects relating to RWBY to get its next season greenlit by WB.
Probably not, but if it does come out, it will surely be released sometime in 2025 or they will make a comic.
I could have saved them
I could have impregnated and shotgun wedding'd them
Shame Penny's vegana eats people, what with her being a robot and all.
>No you couldn't, Jaune.
>In fact, I'm going to kill another redhead girl you know..
>still not dead
Just let it die already.
I mean that seems like a good trade? Sure it has the whole
>This is non canon speculation
Disclaimer about the broken moon being Dust, but even on the off chance it is I think trading our moons would be worth it.
Would Asta's Demon Slayer be able to kill Salem?
Depends on how powerful divine magic is vs Devil and Angel magic. His Anti magic has limits (you can overpower it with enough magic).
Best way to see is if it negates the complete immortality (perfect soul and body immortality) of Lucius.
Remember that time Ruby had a mental breakdown and her loving sister's reaction was to protectively step in front of her cowering girlfriend and say "Hey"?
And then everyone hugged shortly after witnessing Ruby's suicide. Her teammates' smiles says it all.
These bizarre tone shifts convince me that the writers don't even talk to each other. Like they decided on a bare bones plot outline, divided it into episodes, and everybody took a few to go off on their own and write without making sure they actually fit together in the end.
we're supposed to believe this is the same Yang who raised Ruby after the death of both their mothers and was a surrogate parent to her
And then proceeded to do absolutely nothing when Jaune snapped back at her, blamed her for everything, and making her cry?
I WANT GAY BASHER RUBY BACK
She'll always be with us in our hearts
Ruby kills herself
Instead of coming back, she gets Isekai'd to Berserk World right after Griffith fuses the Physical and Astral Planes
How does she do?
Post groups that would be better friends to Ruby than her current ones
It would be harder to post groups that would be worse friends to Ruby. That being said, seeing the Rube in the Reaper's Game could be cool.
What would Neku and Ruby say during their Fusion?
Ruby would say some enthusiastic chuuni shit.
Neku would respond "...yeah sure."
I can definitely see Ruby and Michelangelo doing tag team fights together.
I remember the original version of this meme and a couple others in the first few homophobic Ruby threads. I lost the original when I was cleaning out files on my laptop but I think I have it saved somewhere else
Here it is
And the second version
The mere inclusion of stannis would improve rwby tenfold
Its perfect because each of them already have a signature anime-esque weapon so they fit right in
Never seen boondocks wtf is his weapon
nunchucks. Also hed definitely have a nunchuck-whip hybrid weapon if he was in RWBY, like Qrows scythe-sword
I’m just saying if it had been Ren and Nora to fall instead of WBY they would have noticed Ruby’s depression and moved to help her instantly instead of ignoring it.
>Feelings bridge scene with Ren and Nora
Is it better or worse?
They didn't even need a bridge scene to make they feelings known.
I meant crossroads, not Punderstorm.
>straight
>same race/species
Better.
Generation Kill bros are back
The Reds and Blues.
Has anyone ever tried calling Griffith a gay? If not, then that's the first thing Ruby should do.
>This show makes me profoundly sad in a way no other show or piece of media has.
Same, but I'm not sure it's for the same reason.
It's certainly not the writers intent
I don't like Bumblebee, but if they felt they had to do it for whatever reason then fine. What I really hate is the magically forced love confession scene. It just feels cheap and robs the both of them of important character moments. There was plenty of time in V7 for them to get together on their own.
Would you?
Yes
Definitely
Absolutely
Im not into me so, no
Little has seen some shit
Step aside, sister.
Lancaster is endgame
That right?
Non-canon crossover
They fricked up not having Jaune in part 2.
They don't want him stealing RWBY's thunder like in part 1 and volume 9.
Sorry, we already solved racism in V5.
Dang that's actually a good idea.
post the good stuff where's best girl jessica
Except the writing for much worse when he died
What would be good DC New Earth backstories for RWBY+JNPR?
All I can think of is Blake as former League of Assassins and Jaune as the grandson of the Shining Knight
Ruby as granddaughter of The Shadow? In one or their team ups, Batman remarks how her grandpa was a big inspiration for him and sees a promising future for her as well.
> Killg%re's VR Grimm again
I can't believe we won't get volume 10 because they de used to do that shitty crossover with dc. Of course no one is willing to watch it
This show makes me profoundly sad in a way no other show or piece of media has.
Same cuh
Pyrrha's death genuinely made me really sad. I even shed some tears a couple of times. I sometimes wonder if RT regret killing her off.
I would imagine they do, given her continued popularity even in death and their regular callbacks to her. Soon Pyrrhaghosts re-traumatizing everyone will be a canon meme.
this show has a hateboner on redheads.
how long until nora becomes character development for ren?
Explain pls
>everyone else notices that team RWBY are massive frickups that make things worse
>despite this rt still wants us to side with them
If only Ruby actually acted like this in the show
WOOBY POSTER. REVEAL YOURSELF
What if I don't wanna?
Then it is over.
Nothing ever ends, Anon. No one's ever really gone.
