It's an innovative look at the coming-of-age tale. You come to have a deep understanding of Reggie's insecurities and how her behavior and outlook deters her. It's truly awkward and poignant in a way that most media that has a "loser protagonist" in the leading role simply aren't. Plus Butt Witch is pretty hot and is a fun antagonist that fits with the themes well enough.
I like selfish MCs + it actually depicts the drama of having a shitty but not catastrophic early life + endless looks pretty and fun
