S4 makes zero sense. Why does everyone just get with away stealing the asteroid. Wouldn't earth send teams of soldiers to arrest everyone involved. And then why don't they just move the asteroid from Mars to Earth? If a few seconds extra on the burn was it all it took to capture it, then a few seconds the opposite direction is all it would take to push it out of Mars orbit.

Affaik The Mars-7 Alliance doesn't have a standing army, and Americans sending special forces to the international Mars base might cause major problems back on Earth.
They stole an asteroid worth trillions, had a fist fight outside of a spaceship, and got the commander of Mars shot. Earth was really like "Oh well, golly gee. Guess we will just pretend this never happened?". That's moronic. All the M7 countries would unanimously call for their arrest and would dispatch people to arrest them immediately.

Maybe Dev granted them asylum, but you're right, I actually didn't get why it's impossible to just reclaim the asteroid by force and arrest everyone.

It makes sense why agents of world superpowers would get off scott free. It does not make sense why Dev and Ed get off scott free. Earth would not tolerate rogue agents on Mars sabotaging decades of investments.
I'm sure they will address everything in the next season. Dani probably didn't reveal Ed's full involvment and maybe they need Dev and Helios and can't frick them over. Maybe they are just licensing his fusion reactors or something.

NASA has recording of everything that happened in that room, and multiple KGB, CIA, and North Korean agents know about the incident. The mission cost was astronomical and the asteroid was worth like $14T or something moronic like that. Do you really think international commissions wouldn't be compiling second by second breakdowns of everything that happened in the base that day? Sam did an illegal eva during a flight maneuver to highjack the ship and nearly tossed the ship commander into the engines in the process. The ship's North Korean rep gave her is communication equipment so that she could speak with the North Korean module on the Mars base. That alone makes is a big international scandal.
I mean there's no way Dev gets punished, he owns the company that has sole rights and has billion upon billions of dollars.
As for the rest, it was definitely a weak plot point. I assume most of it will be glossed over in the time skip leading up to S5.
S5 seems to be focusing on Mars gaining sovereignty. You can make out a banner on the asteroid mining colony at the end that says "Free Mars".
Also, the song at the end was based as frick. Best season ending yet.

Mars independence is a little to quick after only 10 years, I agree that seems likely as the S5 plot point, but realistically that probably would require 2nd generation Martians at the earliest to be probable.
Could be something they want to explore before the show gets canned. I get it I guess.
